A tomboy tames the cocky cowboy next door in Wall Street Journal and Washington Post bestselling author Lauren Landish’s forbidden romance.
Luke is damn near invisible, or at least that’s how he usually feels. He takes care of things around the ranch before his boss-brother even knows there’s a problem, and no one even notices when he's done. But when he finds Shayanne sitting in a tree on his property, that all changes. She sees him and doesn’t seem to mind his gruff cowboy ways and dirty jokes that tease and test them both.
Shayanne is a tomboy cowgirl down to her boots, and a damn adult, regardless of whether her father and brothers agree. She escapes their smothering love and expectations to the furthest pasture and finds . . . Luke. And though their families have a rivalry worthy of the Hatfields & McCoys, she wants him. She wants him to take her and make her his woman, because in her heart, she already is.
Can Luke mediate the long-standing anger between the two families to get his girl, and can Shayanne finally be an adult in her family’s eyes, able to choose a future with a man they don’t want her to have?
Lauren Landish is a WALL STREET JOURNAL & USA TODAY bestselling author and her books have garnered a legion of praise from her readers.
When she’s not plotting about how she will introduce you to your next sexy as hell book boyfriend, you can find her deep, deep in her writing cave, furiously tapping away on her keyboard, writing scenes that would make even a hardened sailor blush.
Lauren, who lives in NC with her boyfriend and fur baby, warmly invites you to her worlds of rock hard abs, chiseled smiles, and men with deep, fat pockets…but beware! These stories are guaranteed to have you addicted and needing your next fix!

I love the storyline to this one the most, & the chemistry between these two was just down right sizzin
➦📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion & my honest review 💕 Also I wouldn’t discourage anyone from reading this book!
➦ 💕 I received an EXCLUSIVE copy of this book in exchange for my honest review of it. 💕 💕 . .**This has not influenced my review.* **
The Bennet family is back and ready to cause more swoon-worthy action! I am so torn- I thought I had a favorite brother, *sigh* but each one has that " I will love him and hug him and pet him ... and squeeze him and rub him and kiss him, and I will call him George." Factor going on, I can't choose! Especially Luke Bennet his fast, furious loyalty to his family, and his beast alpha male side are a tantalizing mix! It would have to be holding your own against his family, and one of my favorite from the Tannen's, Shayanne. She is all no holds barred sass, take no prisoners attitude fem fatal/tomboy making her a force not be taken lightly! If Luke's willing to take all that on while considering his families backlash and doing his job. Luke Bennet is a force of nature himself * Fans Self * Oh- My- It is not often I get full on jealous of fictional characters, but Shay is ONE LUCKY GIRL! The sparks that fly between these two naughty, forbidden individuals could keep their town lit for days! " I'll be your dirty little secret." -Luke Mmhmm. I rest my case. Heavy hearts are loved, fought, loved, and fought some more, with mama Louise standing on the sidelines, eye-opening experiences, babies and ranch life, family life and everything in between. Giving us a sexy, funny, emotionally charged multifaceted story that consumed my head and heart so much. I volleyed between happy and sad, knowing this was the end of the Bennet Brothers saga. But HOPING there will be more from this cast of characters in the future. SO worth the wait MUST read from Lauren Landish! 10 stars from me!
Luke sees Shayanne Tannen all grown up and wants her despite the long family feud with her brothers and father. The two of them start sneaking around and meeting up but things get more and more complicated as their feelings for each other grow. I absolutely love Luke Bennett in this book and how once he is with Shay he is determined to stay with her despite all the complications. I loved how all the Bennett's banded together to help the Tannen's after their father passes away and I was so happy to see a happily ever after for this couple.

Ok WOW! That just gave me ALL the feels. Like every single one. I feel drained. I cried. I had to immediately download the extended epilogue. I ALMOST never do that. These brothers though... So this is book 3, and the author wraps up their story pretty well. They are interconnected stand-alones, but I do recommend you read all three books no matter what order you read then in. Shayanne and Luke were SO good together! I loved every bit of their story. I loved her ... bite I guess is the best word for it. She's like a truffle, hard coating but soft center. Luke is just the type of guy she needs at just the time she needs him. I'm scared of giving anything away but I'm eagerly awaiting the Tannen family's happy ever afters!
Racing Hearts (Bennett Boys Ranch #3) by Lauren Landish
Audio/Ebook Review: Racing Hearts (Bennett Boys Ranch, #3) by Lauren Landish (author), Melissa Moran (narrator), Lance Greenfield (narrator)Leave it to me to come in at the halfway mark of what looks to be a sizzling charmer. Racing Hearts is what addiction is all about. Luke and Shayanne are a couple worth sinking your heart into. Landish puts an abundance of feeling onto a minute canvas and delivers larger than life characters. The beauty of Lauren Landish is that she finds vulnerability in the harshness of a moment. Racing Hearts highlights the flaws of the soul with a far from perfect romance. Luke and Shayanne are blind to the traits that make them beautiful. Caught up in a feud that's beyond their control and emotions both are scared to reveal, each has to let their heart speak for them and drown out the rest of the world. Soulful meets sensitive and finds sensuality. Having had the pleasure of discovering Shayanne and Luke in audio and print, I never grow tired of visiting with this spirited duo. Moran and Greenfield take on an already spirited couple and show readers just how much more there is to love about them.
Luke and Shayanne have known each other practically from birth. Their families have been at odds. Shayanne has been weighed down with too many responsibilities. Luke has no one to take notice of him. Theses two are a hot couple and will have to fight for any relationship they may want to have in the future. This is a good western romance and recommended read.
I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am leaving a review.
Shayanne Tannen has been mentally and physically weighed down by responsibilities for far too long. Since her mother passed, she's taken it upon herself to look after her father and brothers as well as overseeing the clerical and domestic duties of their ranch. She's proud and strong, especially now since she's started her side business. Shay has a goat milk/soap product line and it's beginning to take off. One problem though? She's stuck. Stuck on the family ranch, which is fine, but super lonely. She has her family and best friend Sophie, but she wants more. Luke Bennett is pretty much in the same predicament as Shay. He's his family's go to man on breeding horses. He's all about family, ranching and horse training. Luke travels frequently to keep the breeding of his studs high quality, and his knowledge on that subject, is in high demand. The Tannen's and the Bennett's used to be friendly. Not so much now. They have become rivals over the years, but in each other's company, they manage to tolerate each other. After another long business trip, Luke stops for a drink and finds himself in the company of Shay. Soon he begins to have inappropriate thoughts about the beautiful, sexy cowgirl that are rather confusing. Protective? Maybe. Luke has known Shay since they were young, so... that's got to be it. Right? What else could it be? One dance later, Luke knows he's in deep trouble and without him realizing, he's left quite the impression on Shay. A Tannen? Luke can't fall for a Tannen...or can he? WOW ! THERE IS SO MUCH STUFF GOING ON IN THIS BOOK, I NEVER WANTED IT TO END ! AMAZING CHARACTERS, WITH AN EQUALLY AMAZING STORYLINE, THAT WILL CAPTURE YOU AND KEEP YOU WANTING MORE OF THIS AWESOME FAMILY ! 🔥SIZZLING HOT🔥, ADDICTIVE, 💕EMOTIONAL💕 - IT'S ALL IN HERE ! ! ! UNPUTDOWNABLE ! ! ! A DEFINITE MUST READ ! ! !
Wow! Another amazing addition to this Bennet Boys series. Luke is amazing, he’s hot, sexy, and is the go to guy in the family, the one who will never say no. Shayanne is sweet, her life’s not been her own for a while, she’s got brothers and a father she takes care of, a great friend in Sophie, but there is something missing. The Bennett and Tannen families we friends at one point in their lives and now they are like oil and water they just don’t mix. Luke travels and when he’s back in town he finds himself spending time with Shay. She’s a Tannen and should be off limits but there’s a pull towards each other, they’ve known each other since they were kids and maybe that’s it or maybe it’s they are coming into their own and are figuring out that there’s more to taking care of just your family and it’s time to start taking care of yourself, but really can these two be together with the rivalry between the families? Well I guess you will need to read for yourself to find out what happens with these two. Great read, loved and I received an advanced copy of this book.
I read an advanced copy for an honest review. This story is the third of the Bennett Boys and by far my favorite! The story starts out like a "dirty" western version of Romeo and Juliet. Luke and Shayanne know they are supposed to stay away from eachother, but it's like telling a magnet to stay away from metal. The chemistry between these two are amazing. I love the way that Luke has so much respect for Shayanne and waits for her to be truly ready for them to be intimate. He spends his time getting to know the girl behind the sass.
The other story in this book involves the Bennetts and the Tannens. I won't go into particulars and spoil the story, but you will laugh and cry and feel every roller coaster of feeling one can feel.
This was a most satisfying story and I can't wait for the author to let us know what happens with those Tannen boys!
The best was definitely saved for last. We finally get to see the last Bennett boy meet his match. It was a cowboy modern Romeo and Juliet, with two neighbouring families at odds. Shayanne is the tomboy country girl, forced to grow up before her years and look after her father and brothers after the passing of her mother. When Like Bennett finally comes back home from his thoroughbred training and meets a grown up Shayanne, it's instant chemistry between these two.
This story had so much heart? I definitely shed a few tears throughout and found it to be a very emotional story. Luke and Shayanne were both very strong family oriented people who just want to make sure they're families are taken care of. A beautiful country love story. I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
Feuding families, instant attraction, and forbidden love make for a great romance. The Tannens have had a feud with the Bennetts for several years. What do you do when a Tannen is extremely attracted to a Bennett? You sneak around, of course. Shayanne and Luke are perfect for each other and have so much chemistry, it's sizzling! Their romance is sweet and how the families come together is even sweeter. I have not read the first two books in this series and I liked that I didn't feel like I was missing anything. I am definitely going to go read those now though!

Thank you Lauren Landish for giving us another kickass Bennett Brothers romance! Luke Bennett and Shayanne Tannen blow up the pages with tons of heat; crazy family members; and more unexpected twists and turns a love story should have to deal with. And...the HEA will make your heart sing! Everyone needs a copy of this book today. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and totally loved it!) ❤️❤️ Don’t forget to grab a copy of the Extended Epilogue when you sign up for Lauren’s newsletter...it’s totally awesome!
A Bennett and a Tannen getting together. Not unless fists were flying. That is part of the reason Luke and Shayanne growing closer was going to cause all kinds of sparks, and not the good kind.
Back before it went all kinds of wrong, the Tannen and Bennett families were friends. The Tannen family lost their mom early and Mama Louise stepped in to offer friendship and motherly advice. Then the Bennett family lost their dad and it all pretty much went to hell in a handbasket. Imaginary lines have been drawn in the sand and it doesn’t look like things will change any time soon.
Shayanne is all grown up now and Luke is finally noticing that. When an innocent horseback ride finds them sharing secrets in the woods, neither one expected the connection they now feel. Sneaking around doesn’t feel right, but given their family history, they’re out of other options. Luke never thought he’d feel this way but he can’t get enough of Shayanne.
Shayanne is finding out that her father had more issues that she ever dreamed. Her brother Brody is going to flip a lid when he hears the latest bad news. This could crush all they’ve sacrificed for and rip their family business right out from under them. Shayanne and Luke find more in common than their mutual familial pasts. There is a comfort and need to be with one another every minute they can. They try to fight it at the beginning but quickly realize it’s a losing battle. But will it be enough?
Even though this was book 3 in the series I wasn’t lost or confused about what came before. Though, as with other books I’ve read by this author, I found a lot (in my opinion) of filler material. Lots of pages of dialogue I didn’t feel was necessary because it didn’t move the story along at all. 4 ½ stars though for a book I voluntarily read and reviewed in advance without expectations. The wordy passages probably won’t deter me from picking up another book from the author.

Shayanne’s Goat’s Milk Soap is the new Venture at the Tannen Farm. She believes any little bit of extra money she can pull in will be helpful. She keeps the farm books, so she knows there have been a lot of close years for them.
In Brody’s own words this is what’s going on today: “So, take the batch of soaps into the resort, double-check the order and set them up, and make sure to touch base with the manager and give them the pur-chase order so we get paid. If you run into any problems, call me.”
This is her business, started up with info from Google and made in the kitchen of the farm. It’s a one-woman operation so she doesn’t have a lot of product, but she also doesn’t have to pay any employees. She has been selling at the local Farmers Market and it has been selling well. Now she is going to place it in the gift store at the local resort.
To celebrate getting her soap into the resort she and Sophie make a night of it at Herbs, the local watering hole. James, Sophie’s husband, shows up. While Shayanne is dancing the middle Bennett brother, Luke shows up. He knows who Shayanne is and hadn’t seen her since last year at Sophie and James’ wedding. When she comes back to the table to sit, she’s by James and suddenly, he is starting to realize Shayanne has grown up to be a looker. She asks Luke to dance, which, being the gentleman, his mama raised him to be, says yes. He knows something has changed between them and, with the problems the two families have had, he knows he better keep his distance.
Will he, or won’t he? Of course, he will BUT this story takes one for a good romp through Texas farm/ranch land.

Sweet and dirty, Racing Hearts has something for everyone. Featuring a forbidden romance between longtime neighbors whose families are feuding, plenty of steamy scenes and tender moments, Landish does cowboy romance her own way. This is the third book in the series but can easily be read as a standalone. It’s as touching as it is tantalizing, with a feisty younger heroine and a swoonworthy hero who is often taken for granted by his family.
The story follows Shayanne, the youngest of the Tannen family. She’s the glue that holds her family together, especially since Shayanne and her brothers discovered that their father has a gambling problem. After running into Luke Bennett a few times, her longtime neighbor and a member of a family her father started a feud with, the two realize that they have some serious chemistry. All of their history makes things complicated, but it also gives them each an understanding of the other’s life so the escalation of their relationship doesn’t 100% feel like insta-love. Things start out physical and shift to emotional as they realize they want more than a few stolen moments together. Luke’s an upstanding guy, and though he’d love to start something with Shay, he knows it’s not that simple and family will get in the way.
Landish’s writing is always good, so it was no surprise that I enjoyed this story. However, I never would’ve expected her to write a western romance so well. It has a definite country feel and our sassy Shay is a fast-talking tomboy. Luke is pretty adorable in this, but also has that alpha in him - he’s not afraid of a fight, he just wants to make sure it’s the best decision. It’s a sexy and steamy read with plenty of heart, uplifting and full of family.

We are taken back to the Bennett ranch once again and are focusing on the middle child, Luke. Luke is the son that trains and breeds the horses so he time is spent traveling around the country working with equine owners to improve their foals and training horses they currently have. He pops back and forth to the ranch and always pulls his load while he's home and is doing his part making money while he is gone. When he comes home this time he sees the neighbor, Shayanne Tannen and he finally sees her for the first time as a woman. When did Shay grow up? Their families are like the Hatfields and McCoys so needless to say Shay is off limits but he can't get her out of his mind.
Shay has taken on the roll of woman of the house since her mom passed away. She cares for her Daddy and 3 brothers as well as does the finances and makes products from her goats milk. She doesn't have time for girly frilly things nor for dating as though her Dad and brothers would allow that. When Luke Bennett spins her on the dance floor at Hanks place she suddenly feels like a woman instead of a tomboy and she knows what she wants and Luke Bennett is it.
This book is so good. It's full of so many emotions you will laugh out loud as well as have tears in your eyes. So many dynamics going on here. No spoilers but it is by far my favorite in this series and that's saying a lot as they are all great but this is fantastic.
I received an early copy to read and review and give my honest opinion. I loved it! I highly recommend it!
My anticipation to read about the last Bennett brother was sky-high and I was not disappointed. Luke Bennett is hot, sexy and more than just a hunky cowboy with a wide brimmed hat and cowboy boots. He took pride in his work and valued his family above all else. The ranch life was a hard one but very rewarding. It did not leave Luke anytime for a personal life. That all changed when he sees Shayanne Tannen. Even though they were neighbors for years, he hardly ever saw her much with trying to keep the ranch going. But he sure takes notice of her when she walks into their local bar all grown up and in a very good way. Luke knows she is off limits for a lot of reasons. She is much younger than him, and her three brothers keep a very tight protective rein on her. The Tannens and the Bennetts have had an ongoing feud for quite some time and to even show interest in their baby sister would result in bloodshed.
This is their story of all the obstacles they have to fight, especially Shayanne's daddy and brothers to be together. The hard sacrifices they both go through so they can have a future and have their dreams come true. This is a wonderful journey about great family values and incredible characters that makes this a sure read. I look forward to future new adventures about the Tannen brothers.
Book 3 in the Bennett boys Ranch sees us with the third brother, Luke, who travels around for his horse business and is often in demand. With the feud between the Tannan's and the Bennett's still raging now is not the time for Luke and Shayanne to think more of each other than they should. A few sly glances here, a meeting there is all it takes before they both start to have feelings for each other. When the father of the Tannan's dies the feud and all it stood for seems to be built of lies. With their ranch at risk and no futures to look at will the Tannan children trust the Bennetts????? Although it's a stand alone I would suggest you read the other two books first to get a measure of the characters and who is who. A great read from start to finish. Loved all of the characters and I can't wait to read all about the Tannan's
Racing Hearts is the third Bennett Ranch story and features middle brother Luke and youngest Tannen Shayanne. Who lives on the neighbouring ranch and is firmly stuck in the middle of the Bennett/Tannen feud. Which, frankly, makes the fact she has fallen head over for Luke awkward to say the very least. And even though I wasn't sure about Shay and Luke as a couple to begin with. I have to say it genuinely worked and I adored how their romance developed, especially with the backdrop of the bad blood between the families.
And the story absolutely sucked me in. Not to mention it was well paced and written, and it had so much going on that I just couldn't put it down. Plus, it was sweet, sexy, addictive and captivating to read. Which is why I would happily recommend it to others.
**I was kindly provided with an ARC via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review**
Racing Hearts by Lauren Landish is book Three in the Bennett Boys Series. This is the story of Shayanne 'Shay' Tannen and Luke Bennett. I have read the previous book but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Tannen's and the Bennett's were once close but that is no longer for the ranchers. Luke is the horse breeder for the family farm along with fixing everything before it gets noticed. When he comes back from a horse training class he happens to meet Shayanne again. Shayanne had to step at a early age after her mother died to help her family ranch also along with a side job of her own. Sparks fly between the two but of course things won't be easy due to their family fighting. But love has to win. I am such a fan of Ms. Landish! Of course this book lived up to my expectations of her....loved it.
Heartwarming country romance with strong family values
Shayanne is the glue that holds her Tannen family together, and Luke is the last remaining single Bennett brother. Sounds like a perfect match, except for the years-long feud between their families. I really enjoyed the way the author wrote these two characters as being completely committed to their family's ranches and yet they're also free-spirited rebels in their own way. They really are perfect for each other, and the reader could feel that right from the start.
Even so, there are a lot of obstacles in their way, and this story was told with lots of humor and heart, plenty of steam, and a rare compassion even in the worst of the circumstances. This story is deeper than just a couple linking their respective families together. It's an all-encompassing look at what it takes to run a family ranch and how the ranch itself runs the family, and how family is defined as much by the people we choose as by the folks we're related to.
I haven't read either of the earlier books in this series, and this is such a well-written standalone that I didn't need to. The earlier Bennett couples are given plenty of air-time here, too, for those who want updates on the familiar characters. This was a terrific story, and I highly recommend it for anyone who loves cowboy romances. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Having listened to several other books from Lauren Landish I was interested to read/listen to this one as I have not read or listened to the previous two books.
The narrating combination of Melissa Moran and Lance Greenfield worked extremely well together and really added to my listening enjoyment.
I was hooked from chapter one; Luke and Shayanne were great characters and I found myself totally invested in their story. This was a steamy, romantic story listen and Lauren Landish packed a lot into this story and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to a rivalry between their families, the very last thing either should be contemplating is a relationship. Will Luke and Shayanne be able to overcome the obstacles they face and find the love and happiness they both deserve?
Racing Hearts by Lauren Landish a five-star read that will get your heart racing. This is number three in the Bennett Boys Ranch series and what a series, this one may just be my favourite, Luke just calms me like a wild filly. This one just seemed to bring everyone together and complete the story, I know I for one cant wait to hear more from the Tannen family as Shayanne just warmed my heart and had me checking goat videos out online, I even managed to find some in pyjamas like it was Christmas morning!! This is a great romance but its so much more.
I was so excited to read this that I read it all in a day but I wanted to see what happened next. Shayanne has tried to help keep the boys and her father fed and the home maintained but sometimes a girl just needs a break but when she runs into the neighbor Luke her childhood crush is reawakened. As much as she would love to be involved with Luke there is this unsettled war between families hers and his. Luke was always told to stay away from Tannens especially Shayanne but something about her spitfire that made him forget about the feud and see the woman she had become. Now her brothers are starting to notice the looks between them and when her father finds out, oh boy. I loved how thoughtful Luke was to Shayannes feelings but my heart broke for Shayanne having to choose.
This book is another great hit by Lauren Landish. I loved the relationship between Luke and Shayanne, there was so much trust and love between the two. The whole book involved so many great characters and made the story so much better. All of the Bennett and the Tannen family had bad blood between them all due to the bitterness that Paul Tannen had instilled in his family. The love between Luke and Shayanne was the bridge that healed the families. They all went thru so much, but found their way to become one whole family. Luke and Shayanne finally found their true HEA among all the chaos. I love every book that I’ve read, written by Ms Landish, and will continue to recommend and read her books.

I absolutely loved the story of Luke and Shay! They are absolutely perfect for each other. Shay is a strong woman, with a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. Luke is perfect for her, recognizing her strength and supporting her the way she needs. This book has plenty of chemistry throughout. Great read.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

Luke and Shayanne are a match made in heaven. I was laughing at Shayanne’s antics towards Luke and of course their is Luke who will make you swoon. I really enjoyed Luke and Shayanne’s story and I’m hoping that the Tannen guys will have their stories told.
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Such a great story! Absolutely loved Luke and Shay and how secure they are in themselves and the love of their families. Cannot wait for the Tannen boys stories.
OMG Luke & Shayanne story was off the charts, There chemistry sizzling HOT, A must read, I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy. Like all good things must come to an end. Loved it Lauren.
