Such a great urban fantasy romp and a really good summer read. It doesn't take very much to fall in love with the characters and get wrapped up in their adventures. It's a great opener to a trilogy - you've got your romance, your found family and friendship, your fantasy universe epicness, your explosive climax.... oh, and dragons. ...more

An absolutely incredible read from start to finish. I couldn't put it down. By the time I reached the end, my heart was pounding so fast and I couldn't catch my breath, I was so spellbound. I may or may not have left a very non-sensical and insane voicemail to the author. Flailing, and then collapsing onto the floor in the fetal position from such overwhelming feelings pretty much sums up my love for this book. I have since read it another two times and still love every minute of it. ...more
