DK make great books for kids. Their books are full of colour with pages nicely designed with text boxes and licensed pictures nicely laid out on coloured backgrounds. Their books really are visually appealing and well-produced. The text is nice and bite-sized so as to not be too demanding for new and learner-readers, plus the language is kept simple, which is appropriate for the audience.
This book is no exception. It is based on “The Rise of Skywalker” film. It starts with pages dedicated to the characters, droids and starships of “The Resistance” before moving onto similar for “The First Order” and “The Sith” with further pages at the end for more neutral characters. There are also profiles of planets and moons that feature in the film plus a couple of flow diagram quizzes so you can find out which hero you are most like or what planet would you most like to visit. The text throughout is introductory to the character/droid/planet/vehicle and in some places may contain spoilers depending on which films in the series you have and haven’t seen.
Overall this is very attractive and is also informative and great for its audience.
I requested this book ages ago because I thought it was an adult movie guide to the movie. It turns out it's a kid's book. Well laid out, lots of information, lots of good pictures. Strangely lacking any info on Luke Skywalker though he is in the movie. Surprised to see who I thought was Dominic Monaghan from Lord of the Rings in the movie but he wasn't in much so I thought maybe I was wrong. Nope, per IMDB he has a role in the movie and the book has a picture of him with the name Beaumont Kin.
Worth a look if you're a big fan, it even has a few pages about Leia Organa.
