“You want to fake date me?”

Music is my life, my band is my heart and soul, and it’s all falling apart before my eyes.

A plan hatched from desperation as we both watch our careers burn down around us. Dating my best friend’s twin brother, Paris, who just so happens to be a gay icon at the moment seems like the perfect plan. And if we have a little fun along the way,

Kyleen rounds off her thoroughly enjoyable Replay series with Benji's friends to lovers romance and it's a cracker.

Benji's the good one, the one who is never any trouble but he's struggling to see what he'll do with his life if Downward Spiral actually do implode and split up.

As with the other books in the series, this one runs at the same time as the romances for the other three band members and we get to see what's happening in their lives from snippets of conversation here.

I loved Benji and

Strike a Chord marks the end of the Replay series. And for the past four books we’ve followed each member of Downward Spiral. We’ve watched (some of) them crash and fall, seen them turn it all around again, finding the lost pieces of themselves – but also the special someone’s that completed them. This time it’s Benji’s turn.

Compared to the rest of the band, his story is way less angsty and he has things under control. For the most part, Benji is worn down to the bone

K.M. Neuhold has released the final book in the Replay series, Strike a Chord, and it focuses on the fourth member of Downward Spiral, pianist Benji Casparian. Benji has always been the one guy that their manager, Archer, has never needed to worry about. He isn’t addicted to drugs like Jude, he doesn’t mutilate his body, nor does he nearly commit suicide over and over like Lincoln. No, the only thing plaguing Benji is the fact that he has always regretted losing

The fourth book in the Replay series, and for this to flow the way it should, the previous books should be read first. Throughout the series Benji has been the quiet one, the "good" one that doesn't cause any trouble. While the other three members of the band are imploding, Benji is just waiting to find out if they are breaking up or going to continue to make music. He decides to go home while he waits and join his best friend London and London's brother Paris. Paris

Finally! I Benji!

From the beginning of the Replay series we don't really have a lot of information about Benji. All that is about to change! Benji might just be my new favorite character. He's sweet and considerate and so loving. Paris is the twin brother to London, who is best friends with Benji, and has known Benji since their awkward high school days. Benji and Paris are #relationshipgoals! They are literally the cutest together and the way they lift each other up is beyond sweet. If you

Strike a Chord is book four in the Replay Series. It can be read as a standalone. Benji's band is on the verge breaking up and he's a little lost at what to do. The band takes a break and Benji take that time to reconnect with old friends. London is his best friend. London has a brother Paris. Paris is the guy Benji has always wanted. Paris' career is also on the verge of ending too. There was a misunderstanding between them in the past the had put them in the friends zone. At London's pushing ...more

Good chemistry between Benji and Paris, but the Downward Spiral part of the story wasn't as interesting to me. I seem to remember something about Benji living in Ohio at the end of Jude's book -- it felt a little like an alternate universe thing, like in another time stream Benji and Paris moved in together to be near London. It felt a bit deja vu-ish. I think I might take a break from this author for a while. (BTW, it still bugs me that the cover model isn't blond. She makes a BIG deal out of ...more

This was a nice conclusion to a pretty interesting series on Rock Stars, their fame and how it can change your life.

Benji has always been the “good one” of the band. He does his job and doesn’t make waves like his other “bad boy band members” Lincoln and Jude do. He and Lando figure that Archer already have his hands full babysitting those two. All he wants is to do is just go home for Christmas to see his mom and dad and hang with his best friend London. What he doesn’t expect

Strike A Chord is the final book in KM Neuhold's Replay series. We finally get Benji's story in this one. Benji is the one member of Downward Spiral that is not seemingly flawed and troubled. He's the "good one". First, we were introduced to lead singer, Lincoln, who suffers from bipolar disorder and had several near-death situations. The second book featured Lando who had lost his muse. The third book is all about their super nurturing manager Archie, drummer and drug addict Jude, and ...more

Benji’s story is the perfect ending to KM Neuhold’s fantastic Replay series. Throughout the series we have seen Benji as the most steady member of the band, the one who was sort of swept along with everyone else’s issues. In this book we get to meet the man behind that steadiness, the one who is tired of the issues, scared for his friends, and struggling to figure out what on earth he is going to do if this is the end of Downward Spiral. I loved finally getting to learn the story of London and ...more

Pining. All the pining. 15 years of pining! Both of them!!

I knew I had to read this book when I read the 1st line of the blurb. To say I loved this book would be an understatement. I love fake relationships and coupled with years of pining, it was made for me. This book is dual POV with alternative past and present in the first half.

Paris and Benji are amazing together. My heart for Paris 'cause he thought Benji was dating his twin in high school when actually Benji and London(twin) were just

Both MC’s have been pining for each other since high school, but circumstances and misunderstandings made it so neither of them acted on their feelings and they have no clue that their feelings are reciprocated. Luckily, they kind of tumble into a fake relationship and discover that there is something real beneath the surface, after all. The vulnerability and angst that accompanied this realization was beautifully written and made this a very gripping story. Watching them slowly give in to their ...more

From that review:Tying up a series can always be a tricky business, especially if the series has rested its foundation on more than one couple. In this case, its a band. K.M. Neuhold has stretched the arc over five books. One a foundation story called Rock Bottom which shows the band Downward Spiral on the edge of imploding due to the personal problems of some of the band members

Strike a Chord is the final book in the series and it's one of the best. Can be read as stand-alone but why not read the others? Each one is amazing in its own way.

This book is focused on Benji who seems to be the most put together of everyone in Downward Spiral. With the band on the verge of breaking up. Benji needs some time at home with friends and family. While Paris, his best friend's twin brother, is home because he injured himself while playing football, they conduct a plan while trying

FIVE STRIKING STARS!!

I loved everything about this story. This is the fourth and final book of this series and I may not quite be ready to say goodbye to these boys. These characters are just so in need of love and K.M. Neuhold does them justice.

This author constantly awes me with her writing. These stories just flow so effortlessly. From beginning to end she had me completely captivated. I was awwing, oohing, and breathless from one minute to the next. Benji and Paris were so damn adorable

What a way to end the series!! I’m going to miss these guys. Through all of their up and downs, slaying their demons and finding their one love.

If you haven’t read Face the Music, I would start there but you dont have to.

Benji and Paris have a long history. They have been friends since high school. Always had a crush on each other but neither knew, since Benji was (dating) Paris’ twin brother London.

10 years apart and it seems like the sparks never left.

Benji’s HEA

Gah! I just loved Benji’s story. Benji was just one of those characters that really stuck with me, and always had me thinking “I can’t wait for Benji’s story”. I was so excited when this came out, it was a must read for me. I just loved the chemistry between Benji and Paris, with their own dose of angst. I loved that they each had been smitten with each other since the first time they met when they were 13; yet circumstances never allowed them to voice those feelings. When they

What a great way to end a series, with Benji! This is the fourth and last book in this series. You get fake boyfriends, best friend's brother, rockstars, and a sweet low angst HFA ending. Benji and Paris are great together. Paris is London's twin brother, who is Benji's best friend. I love the history these two characters have together. I love the sneak peeks back into their past too. The author does do that in the first quarter of the book or so, going back and forth to when Benji and Paris ...more

Yep, the final book in the Replay series SHOULD NOT be missed! As with the other stories in the series, this one is just as sexy and romantic and sweet with lots of sprinkles of heart. I love the way this story was written. It was so easy to get lost in the story and characters.

I've absolutely loved this series all the way through. The characters make you fall in love with them, well they did for me.
This is told from present to past as when Benji and Paris first meet in school. A fake-boyfriend that feelings turn real or relieved from schooling years. Ooh I could've kicked Paris for his stupid stunt but it puts him where he's supposed to be. I'm gonna miss these guys in this series. The ending was a beautiful as they get their HEA.

Second chance- rockstar/football MM Romance

3 stars!

I really like this series even though rockstars aren't my cup of tea. This book was good but not my series favorite. Here we have Benji- the golden boy of the band and Paris-his high school crush and pro football player.

What I think holds this series back is all the overlapping timelines which have to be executed perfectly and not feel repetitive which they sometimes do. I also felt this book didn't leave me with any definitive ideas about what

Benji the only untroubled member of Downward Spiral finally gets his HEA. Benji and Paris are so sweet and sexy together. I love how we also get glimpses into their teenage past along with Paris’ twin and Benji’s BF London. You finally understand why it took them so long to realize they were meant to be together.

I hate to see this series end, but the good thing about KM Neuhold’s books is they are the gift that keeps on giving. You can read them over and over and they never lose their magic. I

It feels like I’ve waited forever for Benji’s story, and it didn’t disappoint. It was beautiful to see him truly open up. He’s always been the strong one who has his act together, but inside he’s torn and lost. Seeing him with his best friend London, and how they interact, along with his interactions with Paris was just breathtaking. Reading about how Paris is so unsure of the future, and watching him trying to figure out what he truly wants was gripping. This book truly wrapped up the Replay ...more

This was not my favorite in the series. Usually the last one is the most epic, a character you got to see in the previous books and you can’t wait to find out more about them. But in this series that wasn’t the case. The story was borderline boring. The characterization wasn’t as deep as in the other books, but maybe that was because there was little drama and angst. Which is a shame, because I love drama and angst.
The fake dating and having feelings for eachother didn’t work as well for me this

Talk about going out on a high note

Paris and Benji's story is packed full of feels, erroneous assumptions made theirs a love 15 years in the making. I'm a total sucker for a fake boyfriend story and Paris and Benji didn't let me down, I absolutely loved every minute of their journey to their happy ending. The author did such a great job of weaving the series together, all the books run concurrently so you get glimpses of the other storylines.

Strike a Chord was a perfect ending to this amazing

Worth the Wait!

Ugh! Sooooo goood. Benji and Paris have me all the feels. It may have taken them 10+ years to get their act together, but what a performance! They’re both sweet, shy to make the first move guys but once they get going, they sizzle. I love how the series keeps tying the band together. I know this was the last book, but I sincerely hope it’s not the last chapter for Downward Spiral. These guys are special.

I feel disappointed.... This story was, to me, shallow and superficial. Benji and Paris never became real to me. I give it two stars, instead of just one, because I loved the first to books in this series, and this is the end.

Maybe KN was tired of the guys? I wished she would have waited to write them then - or perhaps it is just me caught in the wrong mindset, but I really read this as a shoddy piece of hack workAnd KU is not an option in my country, so I actually paid the full price

Oh how much I love Benji and Paris!! They are so flipping hot and adorable and just perfect. Their story is sweet, fun and just kept my eyes glued to the pages. I love how the Downward Spiral series concludes here and will miss these guys so much. Well,I guess I will just need to add this to my reread list!

Perfect ending!

Benji was quite a surprise to me. He seemed so carefree but was just good at hiding his angst! Paris was so lovable but lost! I love the fake boyfriend trope and this delivered. It was amazing how each book in the series overlapped but gave me a unique perspective while maintaining continuity! KM Neuhold is a PHENOMENAL author! This series should be read in order of release!

OMG!!!!! I don't think I have the words to express how this book made me feel. I had (im)patiently been waiting on Benji and Paris to arrive, and it did not disappoint. Benji and Paris have been in love since forever, and only through giant misunderstandings did they not end up together sooner. This was exactly what they needed to get together. K. M. Neuhold knows how to write a great story that will break you down and put you back together. I loved it. I was sad to see it end.

K.M.Neuhold has long since been a romance junkie. When she’s not writing she’s reading or spending time snuggling with her husky or her husband. She fell in love with M/M romance last year and hasn’t been able to turn back. There’s nothing she loves more than love in all its forms.
