So my friend wrote this book.
My friend is bloody brilliant.
And this review is not biased in anyway because my friend the author, would know that if I didn’t like this book, I would tell her. Because I never like to keep my opinion to myself and I do love to rant about a crappy book, but unfortunately after reading this book, I couldn’t find a damn thing to hate.
But this book was brilliant.
What I like about this book comes down to Alice’s writing. There is no plottering around with dull dialogue

I have already told Alice that I need the next book ASAP. I absolutely loved this one.The number one reason being the main character Freya. Alice has written Freya in an incredible way that makes her so real and raw and relatable. Freya isn't just some heroine that is always ri

‘Dark Purpose’ is the sequel to ‘Dark Intent’, a story about a conflicted healer and her fate in a hostile environment which is not only scary but also surprisingly appreciative of her gifts. It explores the struggles one can face when there are no white and black choices, just shades of grey.

The world setting is the same city as in the previous novel but explored further, providing a suitable backdrop to the difficult

Alice has a way with words that is so captivating, it had me wanting to read more, it was hard to put down Dark Purpose when reading it, even at the end of the chapter. Alice describes things well without being unnecessarily descriptive. Alice continues to build the world and the characters in it. There is a few twists in the story and there is even an epic prison heist. I love the exploration of the two groups within the society and how one is rising up to make the world a better place. Another thoroughly enjoyable read from A.B. Endacott.
This story directly follows the cliff-hanger ending from Dark Intent and allows the reader to follow Freya as she entangles herself more deeply with the resistance movement and comes to terms with her position within it and what that may require from her.
There is a real sense of urgency to this narrative (which may explain why I wasn’t able to put it down until I’d finished it!), with the pacing of the story giving a sensation of particularl

From her earliest days as a bored young child she has always used her imagination to escape the drudgery of reality by creating works of fiction.
