He swore at me and said he didn't do groupies. And just like that, our friendship was off to a great start.
Reese Forster was the starting point guard for the Seattle Thunder.
Gorgeous. Cocky. Loved by the nation.
He's also attending preseason basketball training camp where I used to work.

But I must admit that during the first 20% of the book, I wasn’t sure what to think.
On the surface this book sounded like a sports rom-com, with an adorably dorky heroine and a typical ...more
Teardrop Shot is a quirky emotional romance that at the end of the day, you will find yourself wanting to hug some these characters. They went through a lot and I liked that through the heavy moments, we were rewarded with some much needed humor.
Charlie has been through a lot the past few years in her personal life. She’s sacrificed more than anyone could have imagined and to this day, she still feels a certain kind of pain whenever she thinks about the “what ifs”. After a bad breakup and bei ...more
I am definitely a Tijan fan and so, of course, I want to read every book she releases...I did not, however, expect to love this book so much, that from now on, Mason will have to share his number one spot. I absolutely adored Charlie and Reese !!!
From the moment I started reading, I was pulled in and I did an all-nighter so I could finish in one go. I loved it that much. Maybe it was the writing style...maybe it was the awesome characters or maybe it was the interesting storyline. It was probabl ...more
Being an uber Tijan fan = easy. I've loved all of her books and always connect with her characters BUT this one. This one is on another level for me. I found myself at 11% completely ensnared by the characters, story and raw emotions, whether they were happy or heartbreaking. The beauty in these complex people had me swooning, cheering and absolutely hea ...more
I have loved almost every book by Tijan that I have picked up. This author is one of my favorites in the New Adult Romance genre. And this one was a no surprise 5 star read for me!
When I saw that Tijan was releasing a Standalone Sports Romance I knew I was going to need to immediately pick it up.
I didn’t know too much going in other than:
“I'm adorably psychotic. He's in the NBA.
This is not a disaster waiting to happen, at all.”
How could I not immediate ...more
The characters are amazing. So many layers.
I laughed .I cried. I swooned.
I hurt for and with them.
Tijan is so poignant with her words.
She handles subjects with love and care.
Go in blind.
Tijan does it again.
One click always
I love the way Tijan writes. It's an easy and compeling text, you just flow through the pages. I was really missing some sports romance book, so when I read the blurb of TEARDROP SHOP that was it!!! I had to read it. But, I thought the begining of the book was kinda confuse and it actually only got me hooked after 35%. That's when I saw more of Reese and Charlie connection.
Charlie was funny but I hated it when she did comparisons. It felt wrong and I don't know how Re ...more

Tijan throws a lot at the reader in Teardrop Shot. It's intense and heartbreaking. Nothing can prepare you for the direction this is going. You can only hold on to the handle bars and hug yourself tight; believing in hope the whole time. Because unlike a floating Teardrop Shot, this book will not be a graceful arc and perfectly placed fall into the net for t ...more
Reese and Charlie's story touched me in ways I can't even describe. The author captured the emotion of the story perfectly. The characters will make you laugh, cry and fall in love. My advice would be to go in blind because just when you think you know where the story is ...more
Realizing the ARC just landed on my Kindle!!!!!
But then again realizing that I can't read it before Saturday afternoon because I have my last final exam on Saturday morning
And then realizing that I haven't read a book in a month and a half because of finals and Tijan is gonna be my comeback

Charlie is hilarious and super random! She reminds me a lot of one of my bookish friends and some of our conversations. Her random questions were the absolute best!
The poor girl over comes dimes GIANT obstacles and you just want to give her a giant hug. She has an amazing support system and a great group of friends.

I need to preface this review by stating this didn't even feel like Tijan to me, which isn't meant in a positive or negative way. Teardrop Shot just felt different than the angsty vibe I've come to expect from Tijan, but that doesn't mean it won't top my favorite list of 2019. Unexpected. Emotionally deep. The saddest yet also one of the most hilarious novels I've ever read.

I'll be 100% honest and say that when I started this book, it didn't feel like a Tijan novel. The female main character, Charlie, was unlike anything she's ever written. I was so worried that I wouldn't like this read based on the quirky and sarcastic nature of Charlie's personality. But as the story progressed, I became more in love with the different approach Tijan took with this read. I became completely enthralled with the characters' unique qualitie ...more

I'm a huge, huge fan of anything Tijan and while her Fallen Crest crew will always be a very top favorite (if you don't know who I'm talking about then you must be living under a rock!), THIS is the book knocking on its door in my love for it. I really, really loved this book a lot y'all... and every single moment that I read in the pages.

Reese Forster was the starting point guard for the Seattle Thunder. Charlie had followed his career, knew his stats and now he was going to be at the camp training. The camp she worked at. She was currently going through some stuff. Lost her job. Dumped by her boyfriend. But when they become roommates things get even more complicated. Charlie’s a little bit crazy. Reese is in the NBA. It is hard to let that go, but this book shows this author’s growth as a writer and showcases her spectacular writing talent.
