Blood and Sand, at its core, is a story of self-discovery and the perseverance of the human spirit in the face up complete upheaval. Logan doesn't want to start over, but if she must, she's going to do it on her own terms and with her own conviction - which is about all she has left.
Ramsbolt has the perfect tiny town charm with it's shops and oddities and helpful, down-to-earth people, but like any small town, it's also defensive and full of gossip and grumps who don't want a stranger meddling
If you love an indie book about booze and starting over, Blood and Sand is for you.

Set in small-town Maine, watch as Logan Cole goes from jet setting for brunch in London to hopping on a bus with no money and a father in jail. She finds solace in pairing drinks with the loving community of Ramsbolt. Can she move on from her father's bad rep?

Blood and Sand is the perfect novel about working-class America with an older coming of age flair. Find romance and some great new drinks.

The blurb for Blood and Sand doesn't do this novel justice, and that's my only negative criticism. Imagine growing up as one of the most wealthy children in the county. Imagine living a life where your maid/housekeeper is your best friend and only true, loving family. Imagine all of that taken away, yet still mustering the strength and ferocity to make something of yourself. That's what this novel is about. Logan Cole grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth, yet thanks to her housekeeper, ...more

This was a great story about finding yourself and making something for yourself. I wasnt sure about Logan at first, honestly, she seemed very naive, but over time she grew on me. And with her iron-will and determination, it was easy to cheer for her. She was starting out with pretty much nothing and doing her best to make it work.

The writing in this book is very easy to read and get lost in, and I sure appreciated that. I think I read it in two days! But it was just the kind of pick me up that

Why do people think that children are to blame too when their father make mistakes? Why do they follow them around, insult them, threaten them? Is it not bad enough that they have lost everything they ever had, that their family and the life they have lead is falling apart? People can be so vicious!

So it's up to the rest of the family to make their own way now, far away from all the hassle.

This is a story about someone taking a chance on you and you fighting their corner to repay them, about

Why do I love Ramsbolt stories so much? They are filled with raw honesty. They are stories about wanting a tiny town with seemingly little to offer to flourish. They are about honesty, friendship, and being the best you can be. This was Loren's story, and I cheered as she became a far better person than the wealth of her father could have ever made possible. The author has infused the Ramsbolt story with such gentle insight, appreciation, and love, that I am sad that I have read them all. A ...more

Blood and Sand isnt the usual sort of book I would read, so I was a little out of my comfort zone with this one, but I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Im so used to reading fast paced thrillers, and Blood and Sand is the complete opposite, which was extremely refreshing for me, and great to chill out with.

This book is a lovely story of self-discovery, and strength. Logans story was so enjoyable to read, from her struggle to find her feet, and to navigate the world on her own, to the

I don't often award a book five stars, nothing is ever perfect, but Ms. Lane's writing is so beautifully thought provoking and lyrical that I can't assign it anything less than. She had me hooked from the first chapter. I look forward to the upcoming stories in this series!
