I've read a few different books about Charles Rennie Mackintosh now, and I think this has been one of the more interesting ones, despite being a lightweight overview, perhaps aimed at the more casual reader. It covers not only his well known architectural work, but also shows his furniture design, some textiles, his watercolours - which vary from beautiful stylised renditions of flowers to distinctive landscapes. This wider overview showing the diversity of his work made it more interesting than other similar books out there.
