I was introduced to Islam by this DK Eyewitness book. It was a beautiful introduction to Islam, with no anti-Islam bias or Islamophobia. It describes Islam’s traditions, practices, and divisions succinctly and without hate. This book made my first impression of Islam be a peaceful, normal religion instead of terrorism or anything like that. As an American, I still probably have latent Islamophobia, but without this book, it just might be open.

If you need an easy explanation of the basics of Islam, this is it. In Eyewitness style, the pages are covered in vivid artifacts and captions explaining everything from ancient history to modern lifestyles.

Enjoyed the read, however I felt some information was repeated and became redundant

A great pictorial for children and adults. I don't agree with all the info given, but that is to be expected.
