Casarett and Doull's Toxicology: The Basic Science of Poisons
Thoroughly updated and revised, the fifth edition delineates the basic concepts and fundamental principles needed to grasp current issues in modern toxicology. Contribution from new authors continue the theme of this classic text and highlight new and emerging areas of toxicologic interest. As in previous editions, coverage balances encyclopedic coverage with a basic, fundamental, mechanistic approach to toxicology. The text is organized and presented in a logical progression of general principles to specific topics such as organ system toxicology, specific agent toxicology, and environmental toxicology.

January 28, 2025Our professor assigned us to translate some sections of this overwhelmingly abhorrent textbook. It is thus clear for me why no one ever has done it before; this anomaly is not meant to be read, let alone translated.

I really liked this book and would recommend it to any toxicologist or food/agricultural engineer that deal with toxins.
