Since I am buying a house and remodeling the kitchen, I thought it'd be fun to buy this book and look at the pictures and see what sorts of ideas I came up with. It was sort of helpful. Too many of the pictures were for very modern-looking kitchens, which just aren't my style. They're too sparse and cold and alien for me to like. However, there were other styles of kitchens in here, so there were enough for me to look at and get ideas from.
This book, like pretty much every other one in the genre, didn't include any sort of floor plan or say how much it cost to either build the kitchen from scratch or do the remodel on the kitchen (both are included in this book). It also didn't include any before pictures when the kitchen was a remodel. There was one kitchen in this book that was a remodel that was so hideous that I thought surely the "before" look HAD to have been better! ;-)
But, all of that aside, if you're looking for pictures of a variety of different kitchens to get ideas, then this is the book for you.
