I like to listen to audio books with my kids. This was excellent. The narrator kept the attention of my both of my toddlers. The piano added a lot as well. We will likely listen to this again.
The Olivia Audio Collection is a collection of picturebooks put in an audio format for children to listen to. It is intended for the nursery aged children. This was the first time that I have been introduced to the Olivia books, I wanted to try something different. I thought that the character, Olivia, was very cute. She was always getting into trouble and on different adventures. Children from this age group would definitely enjoy reading Olivia's books. The audio format was nice because it could allow children who aren't strong readers to read along and not feel bad or pressured about it. The audio was clear and easy to understand. I think I will definitely try more audio books in the future. Teachers should definitely include several audio books in their classroom for children to use and enjoy. This particular audio book included music in the background which made the story more fun and added a little bit more to the story. I believe that children will definitely love reading Olivia's books and hearing about her next crazy adventure.
Ahh yes, the sweet Olivia! My daughter and I love the Olivia collection of stories! How appropriate since my daughter is also an Olivia. This series is in audio format and geared towards nursery (N) aged children. Always getting into trouble, this lovely little girl is always involved in a humorous adventure. I gave this audio book a five. The backround music is great and adds a nice touch to the imagination as you listen to the story.
Well produced audiobook, but keep in mind the stories are largely picture books. If you and your child aren't familiar with the books or aren't reading along, you may have no idea what's going on. For us, my daughter loves the books, having read them all multiple times, and really enjoys listening to the stories in the car.
At first I was alarmed to hear that the stories were read by Dame Edna, as in, the elderly British cross-dresser from the 90s who talks with a ridiculous, artificially high voice. But by golly, IT WORKS.
