Jamie and Sawyer were high school sweethearts. 15 years ago, Sawyer broke off their relationship before he left for college. To say Jamie was heartbroken would be an understatement. She held onto the hope that he would return home after college, but it never happened.

Now here they are, face to face, after all these years. They both had longed for and dreaded this moment. Everything was going fine until Jamie discovers that Sawyer works for the very company who's trying to buy out all the shop

An unapologetic ode to loving romance, The Story of Us is a charming small town, second chance romance following a heroine who loves books, specifically love stories and owns a book store and the hero, her high school sweetheart whose returned to town as a development team that has intentions of wiping out the livelihood of the heroine’s bookstore.
As a fan of Hallmark movies, if I didn’t know this was published by them I’d say it feels like the perfect hallmark movie! I think we need more sweet

The Story of Us by Teri Wilson is an excellent Valentines-themed sweet romance. This is the second book that I have read by this author, and I loved it just as much as Love at the Shore.

I enjoyed the traditional plot of two people separated by distance and time finding each other again and overcoming the odds to find themselves and one another. However, the author’s ability to create interesting details, like able characters, beautiful imagery, smooth and intriguing prose, and a realistic and
Jamie and Sawyer were such a sweet couple, and i loved watching them rekindle their love. Their story was charming and tender and melted my heart.

The Story of Us is a love letter to books, community, and – most importantly – love in all its forms. Teri Wilson manages to deliver a Valentine’s romance that is incredibly sweet without ever edging into saccharine territory.

Jamie may be on a romantic hiatus – the current love of her life is her cat, Eliot – but she believes in true love. More importantly, she believes in True Love Bookstore and Café, the bookstore she owns that has been her lifelong

Super cute story!

I didn't watch the movie, so I don't know how it compares.

Jamie loves her town and especially the bookstore she owns, True Love Bookstore and Café. When talk of a new development for the downtown area becomes more of a reality, she fears for her bookstore.

And then Sawyer comes into town, the one who got away. It's been about 15 years since they last saw each other, and he's now the architect working on the designs for the development.

The conflict between

A Valentines story of second chances. This novels is based on the Hallmark movie with the same title. Jamie and Sawyer were high school sweethearts. That was a long time ago. Jamie was left broken hearted. When Sawyer returns Jamie finds out that he works for the company that wants to develop the town into a more modern style, including her book store. So they but heads but also their hearts. A charming Valentines romance. I loved the movie and I really enjoyed the book.

If you love watching Hallmark movies then you'll love reading this story. It's based around Valentine's Day so the perfect romantic read. I adored our heroine so much. Jamie is a romance bookstore owner and she is spunky and strong and doesn't back down. Sawyer is our hero and an architect who works for a development company wanting to redesign the town the bookstore is in. Oh, and did I mention they were high school sweethearts that haven't seen each other in years? This story

The Story of Us is a lovely, tender-hearted love story set around the most romantic day of the year—Valentine’s Day. Jamie and Sawyer were high school sweethearts who broke up 15 years ago. They reunite when he returns home, but they soon become adversaries. They are a wonderful couple, fighting their feelings for each other, not being able to see a future when they both seem to want different things. This is a cozy, small town, second chance love story, and I was charmed and delighted!

I LOVED the Accidental Beauty Queen so when this popped up, I jumped on the chance to read another book by Teri Wilson. When I say it's like reading a Hallmark movie, Teri actually writes Hallmark Movies. This was spot on in that category. The Story of Us is a second chance romance that mixes with enemies to lovers. Jaime and Sawyer were high school sweethearts who are now battling over the future of their small hometown and the future of her bookstore. The story of their struggles to reconnect, ...more
Terrific second chance love story with slight enemies-to-lovers undertones. This is the book version of the Hallmark movie of the same name. I have not seen the movie. The book takes place in a small Oregon town where a bookstore owner finds herself going head-to-head with a development company's plans spearheaded by her old boyfriend.

Jamie grew up in Waterford, where the True Love Bookstore and Café was her favorite place as a child. She worked there as a teenager, and later when the owner

In the charming town of Waterford, Oregon; local Jamie Vaughn runs the True Love bookshop with her feline tabby, Eliot. But business has been dwindling, something which Jamie doesn't want to quite admit and being February she's expecting a jump in sales in her romance only bookstore. But then appears the notice of the entire business district being up for redevelopment by Ridley Property Development.

In Portland, Oregon; Sawyer O’Dell is the architect responsible for redeveloping the

The Story Of Us gave me all of the cozy feels! Grab a warm cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa and snuggle up with your favorite blanket for this story.

The Story Of Us takes place in a tiny, cozy little town in Waterford, Oregon. Jamie Vaughn is now the owner of Truly Love Books & Café which is a romance book store that has been in downtown district for years. Jamie herself grew up going to this bookstore. Light, feel good love story!
Jamie has been back in her home town for six years, working hard to make her beloved bookstore a success. She loves everything about the historic town and is very happy with how things are going until her exboyfriend, Sawyer, comes to town representing the development company that wants to buy all the small businesses and develop them into a booming business center. Jamie works hard to stop the selling of the store, and to stop herself from falling for Sawyer all over

This is a sweet escapist read. I have it on my phone to read throughout the day in little moments. A long line? Waiting for an appointment? Pick up at children’s school? This is the perfect book to pop my nose into and always come back out with a smile on my face. If you love romance novels, hometown nostalgia and hallmark movies this book is for you! The setting almost becomes a central character right away. I recommend this book for anyone looking to escape into their favorite hallmark movie ...more

This adorable, seasonal gem is a happy Valentine for readers who adore clean, fun and witty adventures. Literary followers will appreciate classical references from bookstore owner, Jamie. Whether her ex/first love, Sawyer, is on the nice or naughty list remains to be seen when he returns to the lovely town of Waterford for a rehabilitation project for the heart of the town. That heart is of supreme importance to Jamie, who fights for truth, justice and the way of preservation.

I received this as an ARC and have given my honest opinion of the book.

It’s a good story. A little slow at times, but good. One thing that would have made it special is to have a drawing of the business district before the changes, a drawing of Sawyer’s original design and a drawing of the end design. That would have brought the book more into reality. I did find a number of errors in the book. I guess it wasn’t proofread well.

The cover really matches the story this time, such a cute and clean romance just in time for Valentines! A true book lover will completely relate to everything this story offers since that's what the main character, Jamie, is all about total book lover turned bookshop owner. Her best friend, Lucy, even knows how to make an excellent coffee latte for their customers. Just lovely!

Also really enjoyed the side story of Rick and Lucy, best friends to the main characters.

I kept picturing the actors

You may think this book is just another tried and true boy loves girl, boy moves away, boy and girl reunite love story. Oh no- this is the sweetest, most refreshing and genuine romance I have ever read. The Story of Us features:

A charming small town in Oregon
A darling bookstore called the True Love Bookstore and Café
Cupcakes and flowers galore
Valentines and love letters
A handsome and educated guy, Sawyer
A pretty and spunky young lady, Jamie who is on a “romantic hiatus”
Good friends
An all-knowing

Loved this book! It’s often hard for me to read a book after I’ve seen the movie but Hallmark does a fantastic job with the adaptations! THE STORY OF US was even better than the movie! I felt like I got to know the characters on a much deeper level which helped me connect to the story even more. Nothing better than a happily ever after!

A sweet story, entertaining and engrossing. I liked the well crafted plot, the fleshed out cast of characters and the setting.
It's the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

This book reminds us that while it might be fun to read these stories, it couldn't have been very fun to live in the actual time (which is why I can not stand time travel stories that strand women in the past, where are the stories that bring a lady from that time and strand her in the present and watch her blossom with all the freedoms and opportunity she could have).

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

First of all, this is a Hallmark novelization based on the original movie of the same title, The Story of Us. This means there is nothing shocking nor inappropriate. If you loved the Hallmark movie, you're going to love the book even more. And if you haven't seen the movie (or maybe didn't care that much for the movie), I still invite you to read this book.

Story of Us by Teri Wilson is a unique and sweet Persuasion retelling. While this is a retelling, that is only a component of an overall wonderful story.

This story invites bibliophiles into the narrative and hands them a delicious, artful latte. The first host is a sweet cat named Eliot. I freaked out because my mind went straight to T.S. Eliot who wrote the poems that inspired Cats. Sure enough, that was why. I also see it being a nod to Anne Elliot from Persuasion. The setting predominately

Jamie Vaughn is the owner of a picturesque, romance book store by the name of True Love Books. It is a part of the heart and soul and historic charm that creates the essence of the small town business district in Waterford, OR. Jamie worked at the book store in high school, and is now living her dream as the official owner of the quaint shop with her beloved cat, Elliot. She has become close friends with her barista, Lucy, and they make quite the team.

THE STORY OF US is a charming tale that would be a perfect Hallmark Valentine’s movie. Oh wait! It is a Hallmark Valentine’s movie!

Jamie Vaughn owns the perfect bookshop, True Love books, in the perfect town, Waterford, Oregon. Okay, maybe life isn’t perfect. The downtown business district has been losing stores and a redevelopment company is poised to swoop in and buy up the area, closing her shop. And she’s on a romantic hiatus. Her heart just can’t seem to get over her high school boyfriend
