When an avalanche crushes her world, Olympic hopeful Starr Taylor loses her job, her boyfriend, and worst of all, her confidence. She's working on getting her life back together and moving forward, and it certainly won’t be with Spencer Kensington, the far-too-attractive playboy lawyer she’s forced to play nice with at their friends’ wedding. Unfortunately, Spencer's trip ...more

I was easily drawn into NO HEARTBREAKER REQUIRED and completely enjoyed Starr and Spencer’s journey to an eventual happy ending. At one time Starr was an Olympic hopeful skier, she had the talent and was on the fast track to success when an avalanche happened on the mountain. While not physically injured her confidence floundered as she was terrified of returning to the mountains again to ski. The same day her boyfriend basically dumped her, and the company she’s spon
Whilst this is a tale of never judging a book by it's cover, this cover does do the story justice.

I very much enjoyed this tale of troubled Starr and confused Spencer. Both main characters were incredibly easy to like and empathise with, I could feel myself building an easy connection with them both. Even Starr blowing hot and cold felt understandable given recent events and a controlling ex.

There are quite a few sub-plots running through the book and, whilst they added a lovely depth and richne

Attending the wedding of friends brings together Starr Taylor and Spencer Kensington but with events from their past, a theft and staying on a ranch will either force them apart or bring them together in this delightful romance.

Spencer had been a rebellious teen, seeking his parents' attention but now he's put his past behind him and is a highly successful lawyer with a reputation as a playboy. Starr was a highly talented skier, an Olympic hopeful whose dreams were crushed when she

Love comes when they don’t expect it!

Skier Starr Taylor was taking a break at the casino bar after finishing the plans for her brother’s wedding to Grace when she overheard the guy standing next to her giving the brush off to his date after he had spent the night at her apartment. Lawyer Spencer Kensington hated family weddings but since Grace was his best friend he was going to be the best man so he was at the bar while talking on the phone. Starr and Spencer are surprised when they figured out

No Heartbreaker Required is a sweet, feel-good romance. Spencer and Starr start out as not quite enemies but definitely not total fans of each other, and the back and forth between them for the first half of the book really move the book along. I also enjoyed seeing JJ (Starr's nephew by marriage) again and visiting Noah's ranch (the setting of the first book in the series).

The second half of the book wasn't quite as tight as the first--things take

After almost losing her life, & totally losing her nerve, in an avalanche, Starr’s life has fallen apart. You can’t be a champion skier if you’re afraid to ski the mountain. Her boyfriend calls it quits & the company that she’s put her name, research & talents behind, has started to distance themselves from her. She promises herself that once her brother’s wedding is over, she’ll get everything straightened out. She didn’t plan on her soon to be sister in law’s best friend being a je ...more

This story shows that first impressions are sometimes wrong.

Spencer is a lawyer and is best man at his best friend's wedding even if he thinks that marriage means being shackled to one person.

Starr has developed a phobia after being involved in an accident.

Starr takes an instant dislike to Spencer when they first meet. Circumstances put them in a place where they have to tolerate each other. Only, Spencer has never been intrigued by a woman like Starr before. She is different to anyone he knows

This is the first book I have read by this talented author and it definitely will not be the last.
This one centers around Starr Taylor and Spencer Kensington .
Starr was on the road to becoming an Olympic skier, when an accident occurred on the slopes. Though not physically injured, the psychological issues have paralyzed her and she now fears the slopes. Add to that an ex that broke up with her on the same day of the accident, and her confidence is practically gone.
On her brother’s wedding day,

No Heartbreaker Required is the second book in the series by JoAnn Sky. It begins with the wedding of Grace and Noah from the first book. Starr is Noah’s sister and the maid of honor. This is Starr’s story. It is a stand-alone book so if you haven’t yet had the opportunity to read the first book, No Cowboy Required, no problem.

Starr has had a bad year with a terrible skiing accident in which she lost not only her way in the avalanche but also in life. I liked how happy she was for her brother, k

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and Entangled Bliss and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. I really fell for Spencer and Starr. I absolutely fell for JJ (the young boy with autism). The plot was so real and heart-felt. I can't imagine what Starr went through and the after effect that she suffered through. Spencer, the typical alpha male, had women falling all over men but ultimately he fell hard for Starr. These two had some very funny

Starr is a well known skier and hasn't been on the slopes since an avalanche caught up with her leaving her shaken. While she tries to deal with that because of a recent wedding she now has to deal with Spencer.

I wasn't sure how to write more of a description without writing too much about the story. If you like a good contemporary romance you'll like this. I enjoyed getting to konw the two characters. Starr has some confidence issues after her accident and with an ex like hers and you know what

Starr and Spencer!

Starr’s life has completely fallen apart after she almost lost her life in an avalanche. Now, she’s afraid to be on the mountain! Then her boyfriend dumps her, and her sponsor starts to back off. She just needs to get through her brother’s wedding and then she has time to figure out her life. Of course, now she needs to deal with the best man being a jerk! But she is attracted to him!

Spencer is a reluctant best man. He doesn’t believe in marriage or commitment, and he’s known

After a traumatic experience Starr not only lost her boyfriend, but it also caused her to be afraid of the sport she has loved since she was a child. She is trying to pick up the pieces of her life without letting those closest to her know what she is going through. She is distracting herself by planning her brother’s wedding, but she never expected her future sister in-law’s best friend to turn her life upside down.

Spencer is a high profile corporate attorney who is focused on his career and do

No Heartbreaker Required is the second book in JoAnn Sky’s Biggest Little Love Story series and delights readers with the development of the relationship between Starr Taylor and Spencer Kensington.

Two complex and interesting characters, Starr and Spencer will draw you into their unique world and captivate you with their strength and determination. Starr has emotional barriers that result in a paralysing fear after her near tragic accident that has effectively ended her career path, so experienc

I loved the story between Spencer and Starr. He grew as a character in from being a self-centered cad to becoming a man who thought of others and wanted to help fix their situations. And Starr found her self confidence and self worth again. I loved how the two were able to bring out the best in each other. They had so much sizzle and sparkle from their very first scene together. And it was quite refreshing as she turned the tables on him in every aspect of their "friendship." The glimpses of Gra ...more

A small town romance complete with chickens and a goat. When Starr and Spencer first meet does not make a very good impression on her. She is a small town girl recovering from a major accident. He is a big city lawyer behaving like a cad. As they spend more time together Starr finds it hard to control her need to say what is on her mind. This freshness of speech fascinates Spencer who is normally dealing with people who hide their feelings. The longer he spends in the country and the more time w ...more

No Heartbreaker Required was a decent story but I just didn't feel very connected to Starr and Spencer. Their first meeting and even the first quarter of the book was really funny and engaging, and there was enough back and forth to keep me reading. But then it took a left turn somewhere and turned slow. Very, very slow.
I liked Starr, mostly. I thought she was stubborn when she didn't need to be and obtuse when it came to Spencer's efforts. I liked Spencer and I even liked them together. Still,

No Heartbreak Required by JoAnna Sky a five-star read that will break you. I will be honest I almost gave this a four, as there were parts that it dragged a little and then felt rushed, but overall, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Spencer Kensington pushed me to my limits, I really didn’t like him for quiet a bit of the story, but one fist bump and a watch changed it all for me. Starr Taylor was similar, for parts of the story I wanted to shake her and then all of a sudden, I adored he ...more

Book two of a series. Can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed the story. There was of course some angst as the characters really didn't like one another initially. The characters were well developed and we learned more about them as the story continued and as the characters changed. I would definitely recommend this book as well as this author!

I received an advance copy from the Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my open and honest review.

I received an e-arc of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
I tried so hard to like this book because it seemed to have the makings of something really captivating. However it never really seemed to get there. I enjoyed a few parts of the story but it wasn't enough for me to really enjoy it. I'd probably give this author another try in case this book was the oddball bad story, but I just don't recommend this read.

Wonderful sweet read that me hours of entertainment leaving me with a sigh and a smile. Troubled Starr touched my heart and Spencer was just so cute! The author did a great job of developing these characters and letting their story flow from the pages of the book. I've enjoyed both stories in this series and I'm looking forward to more. I definitely recommend this one.

This was slow burn for me and while it was ok I wasn't sure that these two really fell in love. And also there were alot of little plots that even though it added some stuff to the story I felt it was pages of stuff that we really didn't need and so it detracted from my enjoyment.

Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.

Starr meets Spencer acting like a jerk at the beginning of the story, but he quickly tries to redeem himself at the wedding they are both participating in. I really enjoyed the way Spencer changed throughout the book and became a character you could really like and admire. A nice touch was this story included a child with autism which was handled very well.

I really enjoyed this book, it was a love story and an inspirational story of overcoming obstacles and choosing to allow others in. The main character Starr was incredibly frustrating at times but I love when a character can make you feel things. It was a very nice uplifting read.

I loved this book! Like JoAnn Sky's previous book in the series (No Cowboy Required), this book is a sweet romance with just a hint of spice. The character-driven story draws you through to the end and leaves you wishing there was just one more chapter to savor.

A warm small-town read about Starr, a competitive skier and local, and Spencer, a lawyer from New York.

Spencer definitely puts off the vibe of not wanting to get too involved or attached, but underneath it all he has a big heart.

Starr is struggling after an accident and she's also not sure if she should let Spencer in as they grow closer. Their banter and back and forth was fun.

This was a quick, sweet read and I am looking forward to reading more from the author.

No Heartbreaker Required is the second book in JoAnn Sky's Biggest Little Love series. The story is about Sky, a professional skier currently on a break, and Spencer, a cynical lawyer from NYC, and how first impressions aren't always accurate. We met both Sky and Spencer in the first book, No Cowboys Required.

I really enjoyed that the story was told from both main characters' perspectives. I think seeing both characters' reasoning behind their actions really adds depth to the story. I also like
