I have enjoyed several books in the Butterfly Harbor series and it was like coming home to read this one. Each book in this series tells the story of one of the characters and has them meeting their romantic match. This is Frankie Bettencourt's story. Butterfly Harbor is a magical place that has healing powers. People who are hurting, physically or emotionally, find healing in this small, historic town. Roman Salazar is hired to be the new Chief of Police. He was hired by the mayor, someone who ...more

The Firefighter’s Thanksgiving Wish is another amazing trip to Butterfly Harbor. With this book, the story is more about Frankie Bettenourt and Roman Salazar, with a bit of intrigue thrown in for a good story. There was so much to love here, for me at least, because these two characters are just really special…humans. Frankie is always doing something for someone, anyone really, and Roman has issues from his past that he needs to come to terms with in order to move ahead in his life but he is a ...more

You know when you’ve expected something and you’re on the verge of having it come true, then it doesn’t happen? This is how Frankie Bettencourt feels when she’s passed over for the position of Fire Chief in Butterfly Harbor. She’s done everything she needs to do to quality for the top job, but due to small town politics, she’s passed over.

Roman Salazar also has a dream and is working to fulfill that. He was also passed over for his dream job so is trying to get his promotional ticket punched by

What can I say about Frankie and Roman's story except that I totally loved it - every page! Every visit to Butterfly Harbor gets better and better. I want to live there and SO wish it were a real town! I could really relate to Frankie because she was passed over for the Chief position in the Butterfly Harbor Fire Department. Her father held that position and her whole life has been dedicated to reaching the same position. When Roman, an out of towner, is chosen to be the new Chief, she is justif ...more

Trouble is brewing right from the start! With THE FIREFIGHTER'S THANKSGIVING WISH, book seven in her Butterfly Harbor Stories series, Anna J. Stewart brings us the story of everyone's favorite firefighter Frankie and her new boss ... and it turned out to be one of my favs in the series!

Frankie is the woman everyone loves to love in the Butterfly Harbor series. She's tough as nails, but sweet as can be and always available to pitch in and help anyone. In this book, she's up in arms be

Love this book and this series. Ms. Stewart writes with heart. This book had all the feels as each book in this series does.
When Frankie Bettencourt gets passed over for the position of chief she’s not happy in the least.
Finding out that they hired from the outside is even worse. The town knows her. They depend on her. A new guy coming to Butterfly Harbor isn’t going to know what happens in the small town.

Frankie tried to get along with the new chief Roman Salazar. It wasn’t easy at all.

Nothing I like more than a trip back to Butterfly Harbor. We met the firefighter Frankie in a couple of books in the series. She's hoping to be fire chief when the current one retires, but our not so fav Mayor Gus has managed to appoint someone else...Roman Salazar.
On paper they're equally good. Too bad the residents only want Frankie. Roman is a quick learner and sets about wooing his fire captain, professionally, so that they can be good at their job. Only to end up head over heals for t

I just loved Frankie she is like the glue that holds everyone together not only at the firehouse but for many in Butterfly Habor ie the Cocoon Club, so I was totally team Frankie when Roman turns up even though he didn't know what he was walking into. I will admit like many in Butterfly Harbor I softened to Roman after getting to know him better and then with how the parks fly between he and Frankie are fun to watch whether it be about her trying to show him how things work in town or the growin ...more

My favourite place to escape to is Butterfly Harbor. I've enjoyed each story and to date never been disappointed. I love Frankie's story. The new chief Roman Salazar is a total surprise. It brings a new twist to this series. It also shows more depth to Frankie and her twin Monty. I love how people pull together at times of trouble in this story. Anna brings a depth to each character in her stories. She also breathes life in her stories. When you start a new book its like you are starting were yo ...more

Its always good to return to Butterfly Harbor and its beloved residents. Who feel like friends. In previous installments we have met Frankie. One of the towns firefighters, who is very popular in this small town. Now its time for Frankie's story. After being passed over for the postion of fire chief. Frankie is peeved to say the least. When she meets her new boss Roman she isnt happy, although still cant help noticing just how handsome he is. Roman has only taken the position to further his care ...more

Anna J Stewart continues to bring us fun, entertaining stories about Butterfly Harbor. In this story, Frankie Bettencourt is passed over for the position of fire chief in the local fire department - a position she's dreamed of since she was a little girl. Roman Salazar, an outsider, ends up with the job. Can Frankie get past the hurt and disappointment, or will she leave Butterfly Harbor? What do the town residents think of this development?

I love how Stewart ties the other character

Frankie's Dad used to be the Chief at the Firestation and when he had an accident and died his friend Bud Grainger took over. Frankie always assumed that when Bud retired or was no longer the Chief she would take over. She worked hard and trained for it. The town thought she would be the next in line as well.

Well the time comes for Bud to retire and they bring someone new in to take over as Chief. Of course, neither the town nor Frankie are exactly happy about it. The town decides to

Awesome Holiday romance. The author places just enough angst throughout the story that made it exciting and entertaining. The characters in the small town setting are wonderful, and full of surprises and quirks. The house containing the elderly are well known to Frankie. She expected to become the next Chief of the Fire Dept but that’s not what happened. Roman was an outsider who was completely an unknown. He had the credentials but so didn’t Frankie. This was a wonderful story and I was given a ...more

The Firefighter's Thanksgiving Wish is my favorite Butterfly Harbor book so far! I loved Frankie's character, and Roman's interactions with The Cocoon Club were amusing. As always, it was fun catching up with the residents of Butterfly Harbor.

What a joy to go for another visit to Butterfly Harbor and reunite with old friends! Honestly, after reading this series, the BH citizens DO feel like friends. Frankie, the main character, has been passed over for a position she really deserved: Fire Chief. So this is, pretty much, the story of how she comes to deal with it. Really fun! And clean even deserves another star in my book! WTG, Anna J. Stewart!

Anna’s books in this series just keep getting better & better. In each one, she matured as a writer, and continues to show why she is a good writer. Her understanding of emotions. This book, like the others pulls your emotions like a carousel. They go round and round. Not in a way to make you dizzy...just enough to make you laugh, cry, get angry, and every other emotion in between. This one especially makes you angry with one character...you’ll want to string him up by his thumbs!! And at th ...more
