Make-Believe Marriage: Make-Believe Series Book 6 is by Vivi Holt. This book is cute and romantic in spots. It has realistic characters and events. The language and the events are clean and wholesome. Getting a second chance is one of the themes of this book.
Ben Montgomery has left Montana and come to San Francisco to start a new job. He will be a lawyer in an up-and- coming law firm. He had wanted to get away from the ranch for a while and learn from someone else. He thought he would be coming

Another romantic read with a HEA ending by the amazing Vivi Holt! In her latest "Make-Believe" tale, high school sweethearts Rachel and Dan get married in Las Vegas (by Elvis, of course!) after a chance meeting after 10 years. they had been in love all those years ago, but family, college and other circumstances have kept them apart.

Daniel Montgomery is the son of a wealthy ranching family, but decided to leave Montana in order to make it on his own in San Francisco. Coincidentally, Rachel lives

Yes, perseverance...Daniel Montgomery comes from a wealthy family but, instead of joining his families company, he moves from Montana to California to work for a start up company. This did not bode well with his fiancee' and she dumped him a few weeks before their wedding. On the way to a corporate retreat for his new company, Dan encounters his HS girlfriend, Rachel, on the plane. Under the influence of some powerful muscle relaxants, Dan marries Rachel. Here's where perseverance comes in...alt ...more

-‘Um…she might be coming. Or she might not. She could be my wife by the time of the trip, or perhaps not. She’s going to talk to me about it tonight. We’re deciding our future over the telephone, I’ll let you know how it goes.’-

His fiancée left him for ridiculous reasons, a fluke meeting on an airplane leads to an unplanned wedding to another woman. I really liked this story. It reminded me of Victorine Lieske’s wedding series and this was a lot of fun to read too. Clean romance with no swearing

Make-Believe Marriage is story that would have been much shorter if the main characters would have ever really talked to each other. I enjoyed all the angst. Rachel and Dan dated in high school but his dad said they were too young. That seemed reasonable since she went to the west coast and he went east to Harvard Law. Ten years later they find themselves on the same flight to Las Vegas. A drink apiece, several pain relievers, muscle relaxants and mood elevators later they are married. Now they ...more

Not long before his marriage Dan’s fiancée left him. When he’s on his way to Las Vegas, a couple of weeks later he meets his childhood friend/high school sweetheart Rachel. Before they know it they are married and ..... regretting it. They try to make the best of it but very busy work schedules doesn’t make that easy. What do they have to do now, stay together or divorce?
Fun story with a life lesson, marriage needs work.

When Dan's fiance dumps him and he runs into his first love on the way to Vegas, what do you do. You get married. Marriage is hard enough but getting to know each other all over again and having busy schedules is not conducive to a new marriage. As they grow further apart it seems this marriage is doomed. But miracles happen even if it is a long journey. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.

I've followed this series of stories by this author and this is the latest instalment.
After meeting up together after 10 years apart on a flight to LA Rachel and Dan find themselves married after having a couple of drinks too many.
They agree to flat share whilst they sort their feelings out, the story follows how their relationship develops, with many twists and turns alone the way. An enjoyable, sweet read.

Second chance or third.

They were high school sweethearts but when it was time to go to college he went to the East coast and she went to the West coast. 10 years later when both are a new crossroads they meet on a plane to Vegas. They are in love but they have a lot to overcome and communication is neither ones one's strong suite. I found myself cheering for Dan and Rachel and you will too!

This is a great book to lose yourself in for a couple of hours. Come join Rachel and Dan as they try to make everyone believe their marriage is real. This is definitely a fun read. I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Rachel and Dan

Rachel and Dan finally work through all the misperceptions, insecurities, and misunderstandings. It’s great they finally found the courage to be honest about their feelings. It’s nice to have a welcoming and loving family, even if they’re flawed. I liked this book and loved reading how the characters grew.

This is the sixth book in the Make-Believe Series, an amazing Series. Rachel and Dan's story is a great and sweet second chance in love. The secondary characters are great. I love the family spirit in this story, and the HEA is beautiful. Vivi Holt never disappoints. Amanda Stribling did a great job with the narration. I love her voice! I enjoyed it.

This is a wonderful story about two high school sweethearts whose posts cross ten years later. I found the story enjoyable and the ending satisfying. This story is like a Hallmark movie.

Rachel marries the one that got away in Vegas and then comes to regret it.

He's a total idiot, but it's no surprise since he's Heath's brother.
Dystopian Mayhem
Sweet fast paced and a little bit funny. It had some cliches and predictable moments -especially at the end- but all in all it’s an okay read.

There was a lot of this story that was actually very sad, a good deal of it actually. I don’t read chick lit to feel sad.
