First comes love, then comes marriage. Then comes the baby in the baby carriage.
At least, according to her family, that’s how Alexandra Vereen’s life was supposed to happen. All that changed the moment she walked in on her longtime boyfriend, Karl, giving her cousin everything he gave her in the bedroom, plus more. Fed up with his continuous cheating, Alexandra moves twelve hours away from her family and friends to start her life over. Little did she know, something as simple as riding in an Uber on a rainy morning would change her life in a way she never expected.
Myron Jones, a single father going through a rough divorce with several bouts of bad luck, is doing whatever he can to make ends meet after he loses his job because of his soon-to-be ex-wife. He wants nothing to do with a relationship. To him, women are disposable and not trustworthy. That is, until he meets Alexandra Vereen. He quickly finds out that Alexandra is not the type of woman to accept being someone’s one-night stand, and he has to decide whether or not he wants to put his reservations about love to the side for the person who could be the one. But, by the time Myron realizes Alexandra is worth way more than one night of orgasms, she’s decided that his baggage is not worth carrying. Myron, being a man who’s never had to chase a woman, finds himself on a cat and mouse chase with Alexandra as he tries to prove that he’s not like the ex that broke her heart.
Can these two, from two different worlds, eventually find themselves in a love so deep that even the stormiest weather can’t tear them apart? Or are the obstacles they face in their lives apart enough to keep them from ever trying to get together?
Wanting You Bad is a story of love, loss, and second chances, bringing Myron and Alexandra to find everything they never knew they needed - love.
Alex moves to the south after ending a 10-year relationship with Karl, who consistently blames his bad behavior on his mental illness. Myron who is separated from his wife due to her bad decisions is becoming overwhelmed with what the curveballs life has been throwing him and his child. During one fateful Uber ride, they are placed in each other's path.
Let's start with the plot. It was a nice change from the usual bad boy/good girl romance. Myron yes he was a bad boy, but he was educated. Alex was a good girl albeit an extremely judgemental one. The author gave us relatable characters. While Myron was a bad boy, he was educated and not just some "corner boy" He took his love of numbers and secured an Accounting degree. Unfortunately, he fell in love and married the wrong woman. Alex never feeling loved and accepted settled with a man who was not meant for her. She also took on her mother's judgemental nature, whose backstory made you warm up just a little to her. The story did tend to be unnecessarily wordy at times. Overall, this was a decent read.

You most definitely know how to take a person through it. This book had my emotions all over the place. How Symone treated Lao really broke my heart. I can’t stand to see a child heart. I couldn’t even feel bad for her at all. Alex mother and sisters was something else. She was a good one. I would’ve been cut them off. Alex really really irked my nerves at times to the point that I really wanted him to move on and find someone else 🤷🏽♀️. She didn’t seem to notice how she was just like her mother at times. I’m not even going to get started or speak on the Karl situation nope. Fantastic job.Excellent book!
This book got me all in my feelings. I can’t believe Symone would do that to her child. My heart literally broke for Laila. I did end up feeling a little bad for Symone though when she wrote Myron that letter. I’m glad Alex got completely over Karl’s ass 🙄. 10 years with somebody is a long time to be with someone but there would be absolutely no coming back from the shit he did. I’m glad that things did work out for Myron in the end because he really deserved a happy ending. Great read as always!!!
Myron and Alex met on Valentine's day in an uber sparking a very special connection that took a lot of chances to get right. Alex had a long relationship that ended bad and she moved away to start over. Myron had a crazy wife that was abusive to him and his baby girl the bad omen over him was breaking his manhood but he was fighting to be a great provider and father. Alex was judgemental at time that made me question if she was kind of like her mom and sisters but in the end Myron won her heart and life got better for the JONES.
Myron coming through for the ladies. Watching him evolve throughout this was beautiful. As women we sometimes forget that men have feelings too and not all men are bad. Alex, Alex, Alex. I was ready to kick her butt for that checklist. She was about to sell herself short waiting for a man that had everything on her list. I would never say a woman shouldn't have standards because we most definitely need those. I loved seeing their story come together and them both evolve into their destiny. Great read.
I'm all for love and happy endings but my heart aches for Myron throughout this entire book it definitely brought the saying when it rains it hurricanes to fruition but I'm so glad that he overcame all he endured as well as Alex too because she too bad a tough road to maneuver...Definitely a great love story and such a real one that I enjoyed from beginning to end
Thanks for the emotional roller coaster. Omg you evoked so many emotions with this story. I cried a little well maybe a lot. My heart broke for Lai, Alex, and Myron. Glad you fixed it. Each book gets better and your talent isn’t going unnoticed. Didn’t realize I was at the end.
Okay so I loved their story but Alex has me wanting to slap her high class behind a few times her qualities were crazy but every women has her own list I guess right?! I thought they would never get it right!!! I really like them and hope we get in update soon in some form!
This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I felt so bad for Laila and wanted to hurt her mother myself. Myron went through hell and back and at the end he came out in top. I was happy that Alex stood up for herself against her mom. The ending was perfect. I would like to hear more from this couple. Great job Breana.
This was a beautiful love story! It took you through the real highs and lows of relationships. Everything is not always perfect but when you have true love it can never be defeated. I laughed and I cried but I enjoyed the story thoroughly and have even changed my own opinion about love again.
This was a well written book. A great love story. Shows you how your soul mate is usually met when you least expect it and not looking for it. I am looking forward for more books from this author.
I am so happy that Myron and Alex got their happy ending. They both deserve it. Alex had me feeling bad and she had some real issues. Myron was just as messed up. However they were able to over come them and get back together.
This was a little slower than what I'm use to but overall it was a good book. They faced trial and tribulations while trying to find happiness. On the end they did find happily ever after.
This is my first book from this author and she did not disappoint! She was tugging at the heart strings a little but I loved it definitely recommend reading 😊
