Former soldier, Bodie Lewis has traveled to Pine Hill, Kentucky to thank a woman named Sarah for a quilt he received from her through the Quilts of Valor Foundation. When he gets there, he is surprised to discover that Sarah is not the sweet elderly lady he had been picturing in his mind and when an opportunity to help her presents itself, he decides to take it. This is a very enjoyable, heartwarming Christmas romance. Reading a book or watching a movie from Hallmark makes me want to curl up on ...more

Wrapped Up In Christmas by Janice Lynn is a sweet small town romance. Definitely the type of story that Hallmark is known to produce.

Bodie Lewis is a lost soul now that he has been discharged from the Army after severe injuries. Sarah Smith from Pine Hill, KY is a young woman who is happy in her small town and keeps herself busy with community service through her church and quilting for the Quilts of Valor Foundation. It's her quilt that Bodie received while in the hospital during his recovery.

This book by Janice Lynn proves once again why Hallmark is the go to for Christmas cheer. I literally could not put it down until I finally finished the book! It's not that it's a stupendous read, it's not, but it's fun, loving, and cheesy, and I absolutely loved it! I can't wait for more Christmas books put out by Hallmark!!

Wrapped Up In Christmas was a heartfelt holiday romance about the healing powers of love. The story follows Sarah Smith and Bodie Lewis as they work together to get the town of Pine Hills ready for Christmas.

Sarah is a dedicated and compassionate woman. She is always busy and doing special projects that are close to her heart. She loves working with her church and donating items to wounded warriors. She made a quilt for a wounded warrior that ended up in the hands of Bodie Lewis.

A quilt brings together an improbable couple in this sweet romance about a handsome wounded warrior who feels an outsider and a woman all goodness and light living in a tight knit small town.
This is a light read, highly and unabashedly predictable, something like a small personal indulgence. I enjoyed spending time with Sarah and Bodie, Sarah’s friends and the small community of Pine Hill, Kentucky.
It is a trope widely told and

In typical Hallmark fashion Janice Lynn’s book WRAPPED UP IN CHRISTMAS tugs at the heart strings.

Main character Sarah Smith passionately donates her time and energy in service to her community and church. Among other service projects, she continues her family’s tradition of making quilts for servicemen and donating them to the Quilts of Valor Foundation. When the recipient of one of these quilts arrives in her small Kentucky town to thank her, Sarah comes to understand the life-changing benefit

Quilt of Dreams

Who knew a Quilt of Honor could result in a charming story about bringing 2 people and the Town of Pine Hill together. Janice Lynn has and done so beautifully.

Bodie Lewis was a walking soul in pain and guilt. He was discharged from the Army with serious physical injuries. But he suffered much worse pain with the emotional backlash of his experiences in combat. The one saving grace was when he received a handmade Quilt of Honor and a note of encouragement from a woman that

Wrapped Up in Christmas throws your heart for a loop. The heartache will either bleed you dry or uplift your soul. Lynn pulls a fast one on romance lovers. Sarah and Bodie may be central to the story, but it's the emotion that proves to be the star of the show. With every chapter author and characters bring a raw hopefulness that keeps your heart crying out for more.

After an honorable discharge from the military, Bodie Lewis got a job at his buddy's security company. On his way there, he made a couple of stops. One was to thank the woman who made him the Quilt of Valor he received while in the hospital recovering from injuries he got from an IED. That quilt helped him get through some tough times and he wanted her to know how much he appreciated it. Expecting to find an older woman, he was shocked to see she was in her 20s. But before he could say anything, ...more

Man proposes and God disposes.

There’s something warmhearted about a Christmastime romance read, and Janice Lynn’s “Wrapped up in Christmas” is just that kind of a holiday tale. It tells the story of wounded-on-the-battlefield Army Ranger Bodie Lewis, and small-town gal quilter Sarah Smith of Pine Hills, Kentucky, in a very special way.

Bodie, still war devastated, is set on delivering a “thank you for the quilt” message to Sarah; Sarah, still relationship wounded, is fixated on bringing her aunt’

With a romance lover's heart, a quilter's sensibilities, and a baker's appreciation, I read author Janice Lynn's "Wrapped Up in Christmas"--and I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday love story! Former Army Ranger Bodie Lewis was honorably discharged after living through an explosion that killed all the men in the unit under his command. Still healing in body and mind, and dealing with survivor's guilt, Bodie makes it his personal mission to find the woman who made the beautiful quilt he received ...more

Wrapped Up in Christmas is the latest offering by author Janice Lynn. Sarah Smith of small Pine Hill, Kentucky, poured her heart and the grief she felt at the loss of her beloved Aunt Jean into the Quilt of Honor she made for an unknown wounded warrior. Bodie Lewis is the recipient of all the love poured into that quilt. In fact, he credits the quilt and her attached note for his turn around in healing.

Bodie’s injuries resulted in him being honorably discharged from the Army Rangers, the only

Wrapped up in Christmas is a full-length novel published by Hallmark publishing and therefore it may not come as a surprise that the book reads like a Hallmark Christmas movie.
And. It. Was. Wonderful.
An incredibly lovely, low angst, low drama festive read packed full of sweetness and light.
Every page was filled to the brim with festive goodness and love.

Wrapped Up in Christmas is by far, the most poignant Hallmark Romance story I have ever read. Bodie Lewis was a returning soldier who had intended to thank his quilt maker, Sarah Smith, for lifting him up out of a pit of despair, but had instead fell in love with her. Despite herself being well-acquainted with grief, it was Sarah's self-effacing and amiable nature that had eventually break Bodie's shell; she was akin to a safe haven where Bodie was able to let down his armor of fear, learn to ...more

A sweet little Hallmark Christmas story with a happy ending.

Sarah makes a quilt for a soldier, which was given to Bodie in the hospital while he was recovering from a terrible event during which the rest of his platoon was killed. The quilt helped him overcome his survior's guilt and once physically, if not totally mentally recovered, he went to Kentucky to thank the donor, expecting her to be a little, old lady. Who expects a beautiful young woman in her twenties to be hand sewing quilts?

Sometimes things do not go as planned
"Wrapped Up in Christmas. An uplifting small-town romance from Hallmark Publishing" was written by Janice Lynn. Former army ranger Bodie Lewis' reason for being in Pine Hill, Kentucky, was only to thank the person who made the Quilt of Valor for him and then to leave. The quilt brought him out of the dark hole while he was recuperating after being injured overseas. But things didn't go as planned. Instead of Sarah Smith being a "nice old lady" she is a young

Wrapped Up in Christmas by Janice Lynn is a wonderful Christmas story. The two main characters, Sarah Smith from Pine Hill, Kentucky and Bodie Lewis, injured ex-Army Ranger are such a lovely couple. This reads just like a Hallmark product should. There is a touch of hidden/mistaken identity, a girl with a heart of gold and the need for help, and a small-town where everybody is in each other's pockets and acts to help move their love lives along in a positive direction. The plot was sweet and gentle with just the right amount of angst; Sara and Bodie grew into love slowly by learning to appreciate and respect each other as people, but almost lost their chance to be together because neither ...more

Wrappped up in Christmas was a light, holiday romance. While I enjoyed it, it felt very slow to me, and I did not find myself swept away. As a lover of Hallmark movies, I was intrigued by the synopsis, but was left quite disappointed.

This is an excellent Christmas story and it features everything I expect in this type of novels: Christmas spirit, a small village, a sweet romance, and a heartwarming plot.
I rooted for the characters and I enjoyed the sweet story.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.
Highly recommended!

Loved this story!! It has veterans and has characters with big hearts. These folks have dealt with heartache, but haven’t we all. The monologue between the two main characters, Sarah and Brodie is great. Loved the back and forth. The Butterflies, so my gosh. They are too funny! What a great group to have looking out for you. Who wouldn’t love a dog like Harry? I wish everyone could have such a loyal companion. This story also mentions Quilts of Valor and to me a big bonus is you get the pattern ...more

I tried, I really really tried, but I just could not finish this book. I got halfway through it but it just seemed to go and on and on forever with nothing happening. I know it's a holiday book and holiday books/movies are super mushy sweet (thinking Hallmark movies here) and I like a fair dose of sweetness during the holidays but this one put me into a diabetic coma. I mean using "Christmas candy canes" as swearing?? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad there were no curse words in a Christmas novel ...more
