Thank you to Tonya Cannariato (Author) for letting me read and review this book early :D

In Book 2 of the Red Slaves Series, the story begins One month into the future. Anne has been hiding out in her new home in the Caves with Ivan, Fyodor and Vasily. Anne, who was never a "believer" in paranormal occurrences, has been trying to hide away from the fact that she's become a Dragon and Ivan is her Mate. While the KGB are trying to get Anne, Ivan, Fyodor & Vasily back to return them as Slaves.

Any loner and pretentious qualities Anne had in the first novel have been significantly heightened in "Blood to Fire." Truthfully, I never saw this coming. I would've thought that the realization that there are Dragons in this world would have dampened her constant doubts about Dragon kind and mythology in general.

I was disappointed by Anne's constant barrage of questions throughout the novel. The questions drove me (and all other characters) crazy on a constant basis. Anne is literally hiding behind her need to understand everything and anything that does not have a scientific basis. I wish that her questions would have lessened throughout the novel. I'd rather she enjoy the heartfelt moments without having to question every inch of it.

I enjoyed reading about Ivan specifically. He is a very intuitive character. So sweet, kind and IMMENSELY patient with Anne. I would have slapped her a couple times for ignoring Ivan and making him feel rejected constantly. I am glad to see that the sexual side of the relationship has progressed with Anne and Ivan. Secretly I wish the scenes were more provocative and descriptive.

Time is a big issue in the book for Anne. Dragon time and Human time are significantly different. While I enjoyed all the scenes with Anne and her fellow Dragons, I wish there was more with her Human companions from the first Novel. And OH! the surprise at the end (with her Human Friends) kills me! I still can't believe it!

I enjoyed the book (even with all the Questions) and I can't wait to read the next one. I can only hope that life becomes a little easier for Anne and her Dragon Family.

Blood to Fire is the second book in the Red Slaves Series by Tonya Cannariato. This is a fantastic paranormal/fantasy- with action, danger, drama, magic, dragons, KGB, romance, and intrigue. Being the second book in the series, and having a continuing storyline, I really recommend reading the first story before jumping into this one. As with the first book, this story had so much going on in it. I loved the authors descriptive style and her attention to detail. She is a superb storyteller, with a flare for unique and memorable storylines.
This book picks up after the events in the previous book. Anne and Ivan are still coming to terms with what happened and are still learning about/how to control their powerful abilities. I really loved these characters, although Anne did frustrate me at times with her though processes and denial. This story had more surprises in store too, which made for captivating reading. This is a dragon lore/Dragon story lover’s dream- with a difference that will keep you hooked till the end!
Looking forward to Book #3!

Thank you, Ms. Cannariato

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I also received the first book in the series so I would understand this story.

This is the second book on the Red Slaves Series. The main character is Anne. She has been hiding out in the caves. This story takes place a month into the future. Anne doesn't believe in the paranormal and she isn't very accepting that she is a dragon and Ivan, who she is staying with in the caves, is her mate. Ivan is just sweet an amazing.

There is drama in this story and yummy relations. The KGB is trying to capture Anne, Ivan, Fyodor and Vasily, so they can be slaves again…

In this novel, Anne asks a lot of questions that necessarily don’t need to be answered. Ivan is kind of put on the back burner by her. Which made me a little sad. We find out a lot about him in this story!

There is a lot that goes on and I am not going to spoil it for you! I recommend this book! I hated to put it down while I was reading.

4.5 out of 5 stars!

5 Stars!!!!!

This series just gets better and better. I love dragons and this really filled my dragon need. This series just grabs you from the beginning and the getting to learn the way of these dragons is so interesting. I really like how the chemistry between Anna and Ivan is just starting to get interesting in this book. The author does a very good job of creating the world and bringing the characters to life. I can just feel the emotions Anna is going through as she is learning to cope with her dragon. I found it really
intresting learning about this dragon world.

The whole relationship between Anna and Ivan really starts to blossom in this book. I was feeling the emotions as Anna learns how to deal with the newness of being a dragon and being Ivan's mate. I really feel for how she at first struggles with it and then feel the elation

Blood to Fire (Red Slaves) by Tonya Cannariato was a great continuation to what is quickly becoming a addicting, unique series.

Picking up a month after the first book ends, we are once again tossed back into this new, yet old world of dragons and trying to find out what is causing their abilities to be dampered (AKA, not being able to shift into their other forms).

Okay I'm going to real, after coming off the high of the first book, and that explosive ending, I wasn't feeling the first little bit of this book. It was a slow start, and I do understand the reason for it, especially for Anne, but there are some parts that were rushed, then slow, then, okay, the pacing is a little messy. I think I get why it was done this way, as dragon time and human time are not in sync. I'm not a hug fan of that writing style, just because things tend to get left tout or over looked. But that was more present at the start of the book, as the story went on and the plot started to get underway, the pacing evened out and it was easy sailing.

I loved Anne and Ivan as a couple. Sure they are trying to figure things out, because of the whole being mated thing, but in all they were cute. More so Ivan, that man is freaking adorable. Anne wasn't all that on bored at first, and in truth I wanted to shake the shit out of her for not seeing how perfect of a partner he was. That man is a saint, just for the amount of patiences he has for her. Cause I tell you, I don't. I was getting so frustrate with her. And the questions, my god that girl can asks questions. She was so consumed with trying to explain away the magic, and what she was going through instead of embracing it, and you know, going with the flow of things, and just accepting that there are things that can not be... explained away.

Overall, I am thoroughly enjoying this series and its take on dragons. It has taken something old, and twisted into something not only new, but original. So take my high recommendation that you'll be sucked into this mythical world were anything is possible.

I can't wait to get my hands on the next book! I am wholeheartedly invested.

Happy Reading

Blood to Fire (Red Slaves) by Tonya Cannariato
5 out of 5 stars

Blood to Fire is the second book in the Red Slaves series written by Tonya Cannariato and it’s also the second book that I have read by this author. So I started to read book two before I red book one Dust to Blood and was completely lost and thought to my-self what kind of book/series did I pick. After I realized that I started the wrong book I then went and started reading booking one and enjoyed the story but book two was amazing. The characters are easy going with the right spunk especially for this paranormal/shifter romance story. The way this author described some of the location in this story was amazing and so detailed.
Researcher Anne Crosby came to Russia to solve the mystery of amnesiac Ivan Krempenski. Instead, she became part of the mystery. Never a believer in the paranormal, Anne discovers Ivan’s true dragon form and her own.
As new mates Anne and Ivan must learn to control their bewildering new abilities, stay one step ahead of the KGB, and restore their kind before dragons slip into myth or slavery.
Epically since the old Soviet Union once held Russian dragons captive, siphoning off their magic to cement their power. The resurgent KGB believes enslaving them again will return the Communists to their former might.
We get to see what’s going on with these great characters and see how Anne is dealing with being a dragon and the changes that she face’s. This was an amazing read and I going back to reading book three to find out what’s happening with my favorite researcher and her family.

Blood to Fire (Red Slaves Book 2)
By: Tonya Cannariato
5 out of 5 stars

The story Blood to Fire (Red Slaves Book 2) by Tonya Cannariato is a paranormal/fantasy book. It is the continuation of a story that has plenty of action, danger, and characters that you will not soon forget. This book has Anne Crosby and Ivan Krempenski trying to find out more about themselves. They face situations that are very challenging while trying to stay one step ahead of the FSK. I enjoyed reading the stories and legends that are revealed. Anne is a woman who has doubts about the role she finds herself in. She is also discovering she has new talents/abilities. Will these abilities help her with her research? She is adapting to her new status as Ivan’s mate. Ivan knows what he wants and that is Anne. He is patient, caring and protective of her. Anne and Ivan find themselves on an important mission that involves the survival of their line. Read to find out what happens on this mission and if they are successful. I enjoyed reading this book just as much as the first. Books in the paranormal/fantasy genre are one of my favorites and this series is an example of the reason why. I enjoyed reading about many of the secondary characters in the story and how they assist Anne and Ivan. Most of them were introduced in the first book, however, there are new ones that you meet. This is a well-written story that will have you turning pages to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Blood to Fire is the 2nd book in the Red Slaves series by Tonya Cannariato, and it is a paranormal suspense novel. At the beginning of this story Anne Crosby has accepted that Ivan is her mate; she is also having episodes of missing time. She has discovered that when these episodes of missing time are occurring that she has transformed into a dragon. Anne is having a difficult time accepting that she is sometimes a dragon, but has accepted that she and Ivan have an undeniable sexual attraction. They can speak to each other with their minds, and the cave that they are living in can read their thoughts, too. From the research that Anne continues to do she has discovered that the FSK, (the former KGB from when Russia was the Soviet Union), want to use dragons as their slaves, and they hope to capture the dragons again for this purpose. The FSK believes that if they enslave the dragons that Russia will return to being the great Communist state that they once were again. Anne and Ivan intend to never allow that to happen.

I really enjoyed this book by Tonya Cannariato, and I am excited to see what happens in the 3rd book of this series. I am not usually a person who enjoys paranormal books, but this book is unusual in my experience because it includes a strong romantic component that is integral to this story. I highly recommend this book and series!

This is the second book in the Red Slave series from Tonya Cannariato. I was new to reading her work when I picked up the first in this series and I have been a fan ever since. I loved that this book just pulls you in, holds the attention, and then literally plunges you off a cliff with the cliffhangers that will have you baited for the next book. I would definitely read the first book in the series, Dust to Blood, before you pick up this one, or you could find yourself a little lost.

Tonya captures a lot with this series, and she handles it like a pro with fantastic world-building and descriptive story-telling. There is a lot going on in this one, ranging from the paranormal, to magic, dragons, and romance too. This one picks up right where we were left waiting in the first one. Anne is still working hard to figure out how to deal with her powers. There is the new elements introduced that bring another level to the sci-fi realm in this story. Anne just can’t seem to come to terms with the fact that she and Ivan are supposed to be together, especially as dragon-mates. I was a bit irritated with Anne at times, and wanted her to stop making things so complicated for herself. I could see where it was going though once I finished the novel up. I can’t wait to find out what will come next in this series.

Blood to Fire by Tonya Cannariato is the second book in her Red Slave Series, and it just keeps getting better and better. Continuing the story of Anne Crosby and Ivan Krempenski, this story gives you a little bit of everything from action, suspense, danger as well as paranormal fantasy overload. I fell right back into this story after reading book one and couldn’t wait to see where Anne and Ivan’s story went next. As well watch Anne and Ivan’s story continue, we are hit with the idea that Anne is going to have to cope with allot by being Ivan’s mate. Will his powers help her mission or hinder it? Finding their next mission and seeing just how integral they will be in solving it takes the reader and our dynamic duo on the journey of a lifetime. Getting to meet the same characters again, as well as new characters made this story even better than the first. I can’t wait to see where this series continues in the future. Cannariato is a new to me author, having only found her with this series, but I am so happy that I took a chance on it. This series has pulled me under from book one and I crave seeing where Anne and Ivan go on their journey. While this story has allot of action and suspense there is also an equal amount of romance to keep the home fires burning.

Blood To Fire
By Tonya Cannariato
4 stars

This is the second book that I have read by this author and this series and again I found myself transported back into the amazing world that this author has created. Her writing is so creative and imaginative and she has created wonderful characters. I would definitely recommend reading book 1 first to fully understand what is going on in this story.
Anne and Ivan are back and are learning how to live now they have discovered that they have these powers and how to control them. Again I thought the characters were well thought out and I enjoyed seeing Anne and Ivan’s relationship develop. Ivan is such a sweetie! I really liked him! He certainly had a lot of patience when it came to dealing with Anne!!
If I had to find something negative about this book, and it’s only small, I did find a few inconsistencies with the pace and flow because of the chosen writing style but for me that was so easily overlooked because I was captivated by this imaginative writing of the author.
I cannot wait for book 3 in this series to see what happens next with Ivan and Anne!

Blood to Fire is the second instalment in the Red Slaves series and it is a great continuation from the first novel. I’d recommend to read the first novel in the series before beginning Blood to Fire because the story itself is quite complex so you could get a little lost in the narrative if you haven’t! It also helped to have read the first book because I was already familiar with the characters and it allowed me to immediately get straight into it! I loved the use of first person again of Anne’s perspective as her character goes through so much in the novel and it really aided in my understanding of her character and the story itself. I loved watching Anne and Ivan’s relationship develop and how even though they are now closer, Anne is still the strong female character that she was in the first instalment of the series. The level of complexity in the story continues on from the first book and even though I had to read it thoroughly at times in order to understand it, it was definitely worth the time. I would definitely recommend this book as it is so gripping and is a great addition to the Red Slaves series!

I give Blood to Fire (Red Slaves Book 2) by Tonya Cannariato, 4 stars.
**This review contains spoilers from book one**

Anne knows she is a dragon. But part of her still fights the fact, and that she is mated to Ivan. But she is slowly coming around. That is not her only problem, though. She must figure out the mysteries of their race to help her new friends, all the while staying hidden from the powers that want to enslave her kind. It is difficult, but she must do it. But at what cost?

This book picks up where the first one left and in my opinion, you definitely have to read the first one to understand the story. This book gets more interesting as you get further into the mysteries. Anne and Ivan working together is good for this story. You will meet more characters this time and go more into the "dragon world", but some of the great people from book one are back too. The story continues to be interesting and you learn more along with Anne. I cannot wait to see what book 3 has to offer.

Blood to Fire by Tonya Cannariato is a great second book in the Red Slaves series, a 5-star read,

In the second installment we find Anne and Ivan are mated. They are so cute together, and I love how Ivan cares for Anne so much that he is willing to put up with her brand of annoying. I say annoying because she started to get on my nerves questioning every little thing. I can see how it would be scary and crazy to come into some new powers but, with her it was a little much. Anne is still trying to investigate why the dragons are unable to shift, while she and Ivan try to protect themselves from different threats.

I don’t think Anne had any clue or any idea that she would have a link to the Dragons, but I have a feeling the next book will be just as dangerous, romantic and thrilling as this one is. I would highly recommend reading these books in order, to make sure you get all the background and story line. I am excited to continue this series and can’t wait for the next book!

Blood to Fire is a paranormal fantasy by Tonya Connariato and the second book in the Red Slaves series (make sure to read Dust to Blood first!). Anne has been in Russia researching Ivan, a man with extraordinary powers, and has discovered that he is not only a dragon but that she is too. Now they are in hiding trying control their abilities and avoid being enslaved by the KGB who wants their powers. Can these mates find safety for themselves and their kind? Can the scientist in Anne come to terms with the unexplainable? This was a great follow up to the first book, the story transitions flawlessly from book to book and the characters stay true to the people you meet in book one. This book was full of magic and wonder and I would recommend this series to any fantasy fan! I look forward to seeing what Tonya Connariato has in store for the next installment of the Red Slaves series.

Blood To Fire by Tonya Cannariato is the second book in her Red Slave series. This series really should be read in order as it follows the same characters and follows on from the events in book one.
Anne has travelled to Russia, determined to solve the mystery she was set on uncovering. What she hadn’t expected though were be answers she actually found.
Dragon forms and links to herself having her questioning everything she once believed. And with the Russians syphoning magic she knows she is more involved than she every thought she would be.

This book was a great follow up to the first. I loved the development of the characters and how the story progressed throughout. It was an example of great writing and I cannot wait for the next book!

Blood to Fire is the second novel in the Red Slave series by Tonya Cannariato. This is my second novel by this author.

A month has gone, and Anna is trying to adjust. Not everything can explained with scientific evidence, somethings just are. Such as herself and Ivan being dragons as well as mates.

Despite Anne, asking questions, I really enjoyed this novel and the depth of the characters. I really enjoyed how her relationship with Ivan deepened as well as how she adjusted and she came to terms with how her life changed.

I don’t wanna give too much away so I highly suggest you read the first novel. This novel still has a good mystery and builds on the previous novel. I look forward to the next book.

Red Slaves book two: Blood two Fire written by Tonya Cannariato. Following the story from book one Dust to Blood book two takes off with no confusion. This story is about Anne and Ivan learning about dragons and the way things are. There is so much they don’t know and do not remember that the elder God’s interfere to teach them the ways to not only survive but how to ensure the continuation of the species. I really enjoy this series the more I get into it. I think it’s fun to learn as the characters go along and seeing where the story goes. You are introduced to new characters and creatures as well as learn so much and the story keeps you wanting to know what is going to happen next. Book three in the series is Fire to Dragon.

Blood to Fire by Tonya Cannariato is the second book in the Red Slaves series. This book picks up a month later than book one finished. The pace of the story was uneven at first and made it more difficult to get me into the story. I was enjoying the progression of the story nonetheless. As I read further I was able to delve further into the story and am glad I held out and allowed myself to get invested in the story. Anne and Ivan are good characters and help to lead the story. The book is not standalone and I highly recommend reading the first book first. There is a wide range of genres ranging from fantasy, paranormal, romance, and lots of action and adventure. I look forward to reading further into the series to see where the story goes.

It's actually quite refreshing to be able to dive back into a world and have it feel like you are home. That's exactly what Blood to Fire by Tonya Cannariato feels like.

I enjoyed revisiting Anne as well as her new mate Ivan, as they learn their new lives and with it, all that it entails. It was quite a thrilling journey to have to maintain their safety, as well as having to ensure the safety of all of their kind.

Like with the first book in this series, the author was able to maintain my attention with a well written storyline, as well as well-developed characters. I most definitely enjoyed their journey. I definitely consider this a 4 Star Book!

Blood to Fire in the Red Slaves Series by Tonya Cannariato is the second installment. Ms. Cannariato has spiced things up a bit. This is a fantasy paranormal story with plenty of magic, dragons, drama, KGB and a dash of romance. Being this is the second book I would recommend reading Dust to Blood which is the first book in the series. The writing style of Ms. Cannariato will captivate you and leaving you wanting more. The story is a continuation of Anne and Ivan. They are still learning about their abilities and how to control them. There is so much to look forward to that I do not want to give the story away. I cannot wait to read the next book to see the continuation of Anne’s story.

Blood to Fire (Red Slaves Book 2) by Tonya Cannariato takes place a month after the end of the first book so I highly recommend reading this series in order. It thrusts us back into the world of dragons and magic that we came to know in the last book and expands on it even further. The plot was well written and kept me entertained from start to finish. Watching Anna and Ivan grow together was one of my favorite parts especially once she stopped fighting the idea of being mated. With plenty of action, drama, and suspense this book will have you on the edge of your seat. I am giving this book a four star rating and I am looking forward to seeing where the characters go from here.

Anne finds out more about the men she was investigating from the first book. As it turns out, they are dragons and so is she. Ivan is so incredibly amazing and Anne needs to be slapped a bit. She is in denial and needs to just accept her new life because Ivan is awesome and so are the rest of the guys really!!! They're al hiding out in these caves so they're not caught again and turned into slaves. You need to read this one to find out what's going on, I don't want to include spoilers. Overall, it was really great and I'm ready for the next one!!! Go Dragons!!!

Loving this series! Anne is finding out more about the dragons that they are in this book. They're living in the caves and she finds that she can talk to them, more strangeness for her to wrap her mind around. Now they need to find other dragons which leads them to travel to China and other places though they're not part of the regular world. Once again the author is very descriptive which is wonderful and there are surprises and smiles. This is definitely a must read for dragon lovers, it's different from what you might expect but so worth the read!

This is the second book in this series. In this next installment of this series, Annie's journeys take her to Russia where she finds out more about herself and the men she has been investigating. I felt compassion for her because she is in such denial about who she is but she is a character that keeps you wanting to read more. The secondary characters are just as enjoyable and relateable. I highly suggest reading this book, find out where Annie's adventure takes her next.

Blood to Fire Red Slaves #2 by Tonya Cannariato

Four Stars

Okay now we are talking. You definitely see an improvement in this book. The story is still a little slow but you see more with the characters. You see growth between Ivan and Anne. Her insecurities and fears are something most people face everyday. The time lapses are a little confusing but I figured that the caves are like were fairies live and time moves slower for them. Good story getting excited for this next book.

The plot thickens as Anne not only discovers Ivan's dragon form, but that she has one as well. Unfortunately the KGB is trying to come back. Their plan is to use the dragons to return the Communists to power. With the new discoveries-both good and bad-, will Anne and Ivan get their mated HEA.

After the events of the last book, Anne struggles to deal with how there is more to the world. with the help of new friends, she tries to deal with new abilities whilst hiding from some powerfuk enemies who want to make them slaves. as theier enemeis hunt them down, eill they be able to find safe haven before it is too late?
great read. a well developed plot with twists and turns where the stakes are higher. well developed characters as Anne learns who she is and a set of new powers or Ivan being a patient teacher whilst still protecting the dragons. also a great set of creepy villians that are darker and more dangerous. withoit being melodramatic. once again a brilliant combination of fantasy of dragons and magic set in realism of the world and the KGB. a brilliant example of building upon the first novel with new aspects of magic and different worlds and dragons and wise women which were excellently wirtten with a sense of wonder. the only issue i would raise is that was some repetition in places. i appreciated that Anne was curious about this new world,, but sometimes it could be reduced. overall, a great read and i would give it four stars.
