This one was… pretty interesting to get my head around. It reminded me of Renegades in that we have kids trying to play superhero in a dystopian kind of world, except these kids had their DNA altered by the government through something called Project 451. They were called The Action Team, and we had some teenagers lik

Interesting read.

I read this because I recently won it in a giveaway. Aside from the numerous grammatical errors, it had an interesting plot and it kept going. Natalia was a good protagonist and I was also shocked about the reveal of a certain character. If you're looking for a book that is outside of your comfort zone, I would recommend this one to check out.

Apart from the many grammatical errors, this ebook was a great read. I fell in love with the characters and the storyline, which kept me on the edge of my seat. I also appreciated the fact that there wasn’t any language or sex in the book, making it appropriate for young readers. Altogether, this was a book I’ll love re-reading.

I received this book for free from a Goodreads giveaway.

There wasn't enough back story. There were pacing issues. There were a lot of editing issues. That being said I enjoyed this story. It held my interest from the start. The romance was believable. There was character growth.

“All the Stars on Fire” is a unique story that’s part YA, part superheroes, part futuristic, and turned out to be entertaining.

I liked both Natalia and Alyse in the lead. Even though I felt like the plot focused more on Natalia, I found Alyse fascinating because of her personality and the emotional experiences she faces. But, I also enjoyed Natalia, particularly the way she keeps her secret and manages her love life. Moreover

Thank you @suzyapprovedbooktours and @beckmedina for my complementary copy and my spot on this awesome tour ! All opinions are my own.

Ok, so this book reminded me of a bunch of my old favorite YA books thrown together into something new and modernized. If that makes sense. But it had that..... I don't really know what word I'm looking for so I'm going to go with OOMPH.... that I kind of miss in newer YA books. But this is one of those books you can just sit down and enjoy without having to "think" too hard.

I really enjoyed the characters and story of this book. It's just something that's enjoyable for the sake of being enjoyab

Sixteen year old twins, Max and Natalia Morales were part of a government experiment that made them superheroes. Once the experiment is disbanded they go back to their regular life..kind of!

Natalia is secretly the superhero Empath. She can alter the emotions of others and she has superhuman strength. She really wants to be part of the crime fighting team the Action Heroes.

But when Natalia’s youngest sister, Alyse, is hurt, Natalia promises to give up her secret superhero lifestyle.

But there is a

Wholesome heroics for young readers.
Natalia seems to be a normal teenager, just one that has a secret and wants to be a superhero.
Alyse knows her sisters secret and is afraid Natalia won't come home safe after her nights of sneaking out. She makes Natalia promise to not use her abilities anymore and not become a member of the Action Team, a young group of heros protecting the city. When a strong female villain shows up, Natalia knows she must go back on her promise and do whatever it takes to sa

This young adult superhero fiction is a heartwarming read that focuses on family, sisterhood and strong female characters. The story is told in alternating point of views between sisters Natalia and Alyse. This novel is a fast paced easy read that I found enjoyable and entertaining. Though this genre is outside of my comfort zone, I am glad to have been able to support indie author Beck Medina and discovered her writing though this book tour.

First of all, I am in love with this cover!! I’m such a cover snob and as soon as I opened the package went “ooohhhh….she’s so pretty!!”

This book is not one I would typically read, but I actually really enjoyed it. I love the strong female characters and the vibe of going after your dreams. This would be a great book for teen girls to read.

All the Stars on Fire is a terrific YA or Adult Fantasy read. Natalia wants to be a hero her sister Alyse wants her to give up her dreams because it’s too dangerous. Like all families there is some drama but that doesn’t stop them from caring about the other. But secrets is no stranger to them and when Alyse gets hurt during one of the battles they must decide what is more important. Give up her dreams or her sisters trust? A great read about friendship, super heroes, family and friendship. If y ...more

I received this book as a giveaway. I probably would not have picked this otherwise, but I did enjoy it. It reminded me of the Divergent series a little bit. While I enjoyed to story and characters, I was left wanting more information about the government project Max and Natalia were enrolled in and what Max went back to the Academy to accomplish. I just felt like there were too many questions left unanswered on subjects brought up at the beginning of the book.

This is a great book. I don't have as much time as I used to to sit down and read and it takes something good to really get my attention.

I don't want to post too much about the story itself and give spoilers but it's definitely a page turner, and something that makes you think.

If you like this genre you'll love this book.

Flawed in many minor ways but utterly enjoyable. The characters and their interactions are some of the most realistic I've seen in YA books in a while and is a big part of what makes this book feel warm despite its somewhat silly plot. ...more
