The Legacy of the Lioness (World Apart Book 4) by Robert D. Armstrong is a book I requested and the review is voluntary. This is the final book of the series! I am going to miss it so much! I loved the characters, action, the unusual group and world settings. This series sucked me in and I was happy there. My emotions were tumbled up and down throughout this book! Ugh! It ended just the way it needed to. Great job! Great sci-fi!

Well the story ends and I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed at the wrap-up. RD Armstrong's strength seems to be the ability to crunch timelines in the least amount of writing space; a good thing. The quick ending left much to be wanting. There's something to say about a female, kick-ass fighter pilot, who at the end of the book learns she suffers from depression; and, wants to be a mother to two adult children. I didn't see that coming. I won't fault RD Armstrong his point of view. I would have preferred Victoria and Luther to have closure as two different people in a different time. The Moderator was well scripted and appropriately cold. Xena shouldn't exist in the helmet. A decent three-book story.

I enjoyed this trilogy immensely, from start to finish. The typos in each book were distracting, but the story was good throughout!
