This is a delightful, inspirational story of a friendship and striving to achieve your dreams. It is beautifully illustrated with scenes from the unfolding adventure, enhancing the appeal of the story to children and adults alike.

As a parent and teacher, I liked the moral messages about not giving up and how sometimes unlikely people can prove to be supportive friends. The paperback version of this book is 28 x 0.2 x 21.6 cm, a great size for sharing. The illustrations of the animals are simply

I read this story with Amelia and she really enjoyed it.
The book is a beautifully illustrated book about a Tortoise who befriends a glowworm and tells him about the dream he has of swimming in the ocean.
The tortoise is very old and slow moving so their journey to the sea is very slow going but they stick together through all of it.
The story is a very moving one about friendship, old age and not giving up when you set your mind to something.
Amelia really loved the illustrations and the story line
