The only thing to make this better would be an update at this was published in 1997. Great book telling about the development of Mickey Mouse through the years.

As the cover states, the text is told in the first person of the one and only Mickey Mouse. Instead of being “created”, Mickey, describes meeting Walt Disney on a train ride to California and being asked if he wanted a job in the movies. The book is filled with the same style of pictures and photographs as in the accompanying book; only these are screen shots from Mickey’s many cartoons and comic strips.
A nice companion to the Walt Disney version of this book, this title can be used to encourage younger readers into the non-fiction section on film and animation. Elementary students today might look at you funny if you ask them if they like to read a book about Walt Disney. (Who’s that?) But read a book about Mickey Mouse? You bet!

Mickey Mouse narrates all of the pictures in the book.
When you read it, you can't help but want to say, "OH BOY"
This is a fun and nostalgic book looking back on the mouse that started it all.
