The purpose of this text is to present a Synopsis of the previous text, by the same author, published both a one-and two-volume version, entitled An Atlas of Anatomy basic to Radiology (1975). Small sections on Computed Tomography have been added, since these represent new applications of anatomy to radiology (at the time of 1980. This revised reprint includes material on engineering developments in computed tomography and makes use of CT scans produced by equipment used in 1980. This book was written to fill the needs of medical students and technologists who must know considerable anatomy in their increasingly sophisticated daily practice; the larger text is available for the practicing radiologist.
