Save The Date is the perfect summer read that is easy and just sweeps you off your feet.
It has the perfect balance of whirlwind romance, drama and swoon worthy characters that makes it the perfect romcom.
I feel like if this were made into a movie..I'd sit with my friends watching the perfect chickflick.

I am between 4 and 5 stars for this book. I round it up to 5 stars. This is my first book with miss Murphy. And i am so looking forward for her next book in this series.

The story itself is similar to other romamce book. Relationship of convinience. What i really love about this book is how the author brings moral story about money and social status. She packs it in a very sweet complete with likeable characters. The characters chemistry is really touching without too much sex scenes.

Caroline works at a stationary store, selling wedding invitations and save the date announcement stationary to happy couples. One day she runs into a bridezilla who happens to be engaged to the first boy she ever kissed. Awkward. When bridezilla orders her a week later to bring her printed invitations to her house… Caroline witnesses something she shouldn’t, and the awkward increases by a factor of ten! Great weekend read!

Save The Date was a super quick and engaging read/ listen. This was my first read by Monica Murphy and I’m excited to continue with this fun and flirty series. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narration very much.

Here’s what I loved:
The storyline is a little twist on the brother’s friends and fake fiancé trope, which I enjoy.
The writing is witty and charming. I really enjoyed Caroline’s character. She’s fun and flirty. It was nice to see her interaction with Alex

This book was a joke and I'm still screaming. This book does not deserve such an adorable cover!

Save the Date is about a woman named Caroline who works at a stationary shop. One day a woman named Tiffany comes in for cards and her fiancé happens to be Alex, Caroline's first kiss from childhood. While delivering cards, Caroline stumbles across Tiffany cheating on Alex, so she tells Alex and they break up. Alex has a proposal for Caroline though and things get complicated.

This book was HILARIOUS.

Save the Date is the perfect summer read! Readers who enjoy travel, fake relationships, second chance romances, and books that revolve around weddings are not going to want to miss Monica's latest novel! I savored this novel- like a fine macaroon! I read it in one sitting as well. It's a lighthearted read with an excellent cast of characters and an engaging story line. If I would like to describe this book with one word it would be cute.
This is the perfect summer beach or vacation read.

Caroline and Alex were childhoods sort of friends and each other first kiss. After 8th grade, they lose touch only to meet years later when Alex comes with his fiance to pick save the date cards for his upcoming wedding to shop where Caroline works.

This is very light and bubbly read. I loved the characters, plot, and pace of the story.
It was very entertaining.

I enjoyed the first half of the book, couldn't get enough of it
but the second half simply felt flat to me. I couldn't get behind Alex and Caroline, she went from barely remembering him to thinking hes the one who got away.
Personally my issue was Caroline, she just seemed so boring as a person, there was no charm or fun to her character.

Caroline Abbott works at a high end stationary store that sells a lot of wedding-related stuff, like save the date cards, wedding invitations, and thank you cards. She's used to dealing with bridezillas, so her newest customer, Tiffany, doesn't throw her much, but the identity of Tiffany's fiance does. It turns out that Tiffany is getting married to Alex Wilder, Caroline's first crush. The last time they saw each other was when she was 12 and he was 14. Monica Murphy delivered such a fun, summer read that had me smiling and laughing! Alex and Caroline shared their first kiss way back when. Years later, Caroline is face-to-face with Alex, only this time he's engaged!! What follows is a great second-chance romance that's low on angst and high on romance. I'm hoping for more books on the secondary characters and I really love Ms. Murphy's writing!

It was a cute and sweet story! I loved how the story goes how they have feelings for each other in the past and they were each other's first kiss back in junior high days. After that he disappeared, moved away with his family without say anything! I really liked Caroline Abbott, she is someone that I could easily be friends with and I could relate too! This is a sweet, romantic, second chance at love story If you are looking for something like that this is perfect!

This one is flying under the radar and that’s a shame because I really loved it! If you’re looking to add to your rom-com summer stack then grab a copy of this one asap! I’m pretty sure I had a smile permanently in place while reading this and I flew right on though! SAVE THE DATE is so much fun!! I loved how the characters came to reconnect, the fact that they seem to hate each other only to realize there are some lingering feelings there. This was a super fun and quick read. Once I got started I didn't put it down until I was finished. Caroline loves her job as a wedding announcement coordinator and living above a cafe with her best friend. She is a little wishy washy about what she wants to be when she grows up but when she runs into a hot guy in her friend's bakery a glimmer of hope sparks. Caroline arrives at work after that run in only to find that the hot guy from the baker is the fiancé of her super e

Caroline loves her job at Noteworthy where she helps happy couples with their stationery needs for their upcoming wedding. When she was helping a prospective bride, she never expected that the groom would be her brother’s best friend from junior high and the boy she shared her first kiss with who left without any further contact.

Alex is managing the family’s hotel business and has his future mapped out. When he finds himself suddenly single and needing help will this be his chance to reconnect w

I listened to this book on audio and though it was a cute and light story. The narrators seemed to capture the characters that I envisioned in my head and I like the accents when they had to use them. Not too shabby. ;)

Right at the beginning, I thought this was going to be a super meet cute and they would start to date from the get go. But oh no. That is not the case. It is a case of a taken man that is engaged, but these two people knew each other when they were children and lost touch for many

My favorite part of this book is how Monica Murphy surprised me. I thought this was going to be the story of a wedding stationer who falls for the groom-to-be and then has to managed their tortured interactions, kind of like that schmaltzy Jennifer Lopez movie The Wedding Planner. It turns out, though, that there is more to this book.

For one thing, Caroline knows Alex. They were each other’s first kiss, back when she was ten and he twelve. That designation cemented him in her memory (and her in

Save the Date was such a light, fun read. It’s the perfect beach or pool side book.

It was a bit of a second chance romance...but only kind of. Alex and Caroline knee each other as kids, and were each other’s first kiss, at age 14 and 12. After that they never saw each other again.

Many, many years later, they meet up again, but he’s engaged to another women. While it may sound a little scandalous for Alex and Caroline, it’s really not. His fiancée is a cheat. Enter the possibility of more for Al

Having been a huge Monica Murphy fan, this book was a no brainer for me to read. It was different from One Week Girlfriend.. It was more of a chick lit book that a romance. I must say, I didn't feel much of a romantic connection between Caroline and Alex. I wanted to love this book so much more than I actually did.

5 Star Review of Save The Date (Dating #1)by Monica Murphy
Monica Murphy is a new author to me and after reading Save The Date I will definitely be reading her other works when time permits.

my major problem with this book was the way it was written. literally every thing was spelled out for you when it didn’t need to be. that annoyed me a lot when it came to their “chemistry”. monica would write the scenes were they were touching and enamored with each other, like the one scene in the restaurant, really well but then one of them would comment on how intense their chemistry was which completely ruined it. i should’ve just been able to pick up on things. they didn’t need to be shoved ...more
