Holy moly! That was great! My only complaint is that the ending came too soon and was a cliff hanger! I have so many ideas of where this is going and who is who. I can’t wait to read the next one. The characters were so perfectly written. I immediately picked a man, Lucian. I loved the tension between them right away even if to start with it was in my head. My only disappointment is the lack of action between them but that can be easily remedied. Mind you I do love the dynamic that is holding th ...more

Oh my bleeding heart! I have no idea who to trust! My mind is a puddle and trying to figure it all out is futile! Being a part of this amazing realm again is exciting and I’m loving the new characters but I know Meg is going to throw some wicked curveballs and I’m not ready! I am so invested already and I have an idea of what I want or think will happen but that’s useless! Meg Anne always shocks, surprises and NEVER lets me down! I know what’s to come is going to be epic and my heart will be bat ...more

The Keepers is a new take on our typical fantasy heroine, following the story of a flawed but relatable young woman as she finds herself in the midst of a war where she is the only who See's what's coming. Anne beautifully weaves together the suspense and vivid world-building fantasy readers love, along with the deliciously angst ridden romance that keeps you turning the pages. ...more

After reading The Dreamer, I was excited for this book as it was just the start of something incredible. And boy, Meg Anne really gave us a treat with this one. I couldn’t fault it at all, she did an amazing job at writing it, the plot was incredible as was the characters. Back in The Dreamer, you can’t help but want Kieran and Effie to end up together, you see different sides of things, but at the same time your heart kind of melts for him. So when he does finally lay eyes on Effie it’s a shock ...more

After reading The Dreamer I knew I was going to love this, and I was right. But going into it with that knowledge made me Kieran biased and I think it's a good thing because after what he does here there's no way I'd forgive him.

In the beginning I thought "awww, his pining is so cute" but then it becomes really twisted and justifies me liking Lucian better (at least for now).

Carla's Five Star Review

First off, let me tell you how excited I am to be reading more about the characters I fell in love with while reading Meg Anne's Chosen series! This is Effie's journey of becoming the newest initiate of the Keepers of Prophecy-a secret order that sees what the future holds. I just love Effie! She is as fierce as she is determined! I love how she interacts with The Triumvirate, her tutor, Kieran, and her guardians-especially Lucian.

Once again, Meg Anne has created a world

This book blew my mind! I totally did not expect it to take the turns that it did. I thought i knew where it was going but it totally surprised me in the best way. That ending though (eek and ugh). Can’t wait to read the next in the series! I recommend this read.

Oh wow...loved this book! This is an exciting and intriguing read that had me interested all the way through! Effie is a different, realistic and relatable character. She is going through some tough times and her reactions are spot on! I love how she acts with The Triumvirate and I want to learn more about the three of them and how they act differently with Effie..her nicknames are great for them all!! Kieran kind of creeps me out and I do not like how he acts in this book, but I really like the ...more

I’ve not read other books set in the Chosen universe used by Meg Anne in her The Keeper's Legacy: A Chosen Novel (The Keepers Book 1). Luckily this doesn’t matter (at least as far as I can tell) as this novel works beautifully on a standalone basis as the first book in its own adult fantasy romance trilogy. Effie is a great leading character, strong but flawed and learning and growing during the course of the novel’s pages. Great stuff indeed. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this r ...more

No No No No No I had such high hopes for him. He went through so much. He gave up so much. I wanted him to be able to redeem himself and have his visions come true . . . and then he, well you know the deal read it for yourself. This freaking author has done wonderful things in the book and has you all over the place as we follow Effie’s training. Watching her fight her insecurities and battling with emotions, she’s so overwhelmed it’s painful watching her act out. It’s a side Darren helped her c ...more

Effie is a character that I loved in The Chosen series. We get to know more her a bit in that series, but I definitely wanted to know more. So I was very excited that she was going to be the main character in a new series I was very excited.

The Keeper's Legacy is a great start to a new series and Meg Anne didn't disappoint at all!! After reading The Dreamer, I was so excited to meet Kieran and hoped that he would be deserving for Effie after all she endured in The Chosen series. He's definitely

Effie has so much sassy in her little body but you can't let her size fool you. She will no longer be pushed around and ran over no matter anyone's size or title. Kieran and Lucian keep me going on a love them and then want to throttle them. I think I have finally picked a side but I will not tell you who just yet. Fully of action and intrigue. Can't wait to read the next one to see how this war will continue and just how the tides may turn. Plus I want to know some many of the secrets that all ...more

Omg y'all! This book is EVERYTHING! I have been a die hard fan of this storyline since Helena's first book and I honestly didn't think I could love The Chosen more but Effie's journey has me over here all pumped and ecstatic! It was definitely an emotional rollercoaster for me but it was one I more than enjoyed. I'm so excited to see where book 2 take Effie and her band of comrades! And all I can say for Lucian is YUM! I licked him first ladies, hands off! Lol. ...more

I can't even begin to explain how much this book gripped me... All the questions, the forbidden romance notions and character building is triumphant.
I was gutted when I finished this book as I can't wait to read the next one to find out what happens especially to Kieran after reading his story in the prequel which lead me to read this book in the first place.
Roll on August when the next book comes out... Then no doubt I'll probably feel the same when that book ends and want the next one

I voluntarily reviewed an early copy of this book :) oh what a phenomenal start to a new series this was... full of surprising twists, phenomenal writing style, with my favourite type of heroine as the main character :) as in strong but flawed... I just love when a character is flawed and make mistakes, but is written in a way that doesn't annoy you... and Effie is just that... :) but before I get into all the praises, let me explain some things to you... because this is the first full lenght st ...more

Effies life has never been easy and her journey just keeps going. Meg Anne tells the story of a down to Earth, loveable character, that you just have to root for. Very good story with enough twists and battles to keep you interested.

This book picks up where sweet Effie leaves the main band of our Chosen heroes.

Her journey is really entertaining to witness. I loved getting to see deeper into the world of the Triumverate and her sass towards them! Lots of laugh out loud moments and plenty of action/mystery.

Can't wait for the next one :D

Who knew shy timid Effie had so much sass to her? I love this version of her. Loving her guardian. Both of them. But Kiernan I’m not liking.

I don't know what to rate this book as. I have mixed feelings about Effie. She is definitely a spoiled brat (which she is always denying). I really had a problem with the way she spoke with Kieran. The things she says are just cruel (especially in the beginning when we hardly know him) and she seems to always resort to slapping him. Now Kieran is a little selfish snake/creep (I like to give people the benefit of the doubt) and you could argue he's getting what's coming to him (especially at the ...more

Mother’s Ti**s Meg Anne has done it again!

Effie is one of my favorite characters and this book just WOW’ed me.

The Keeper's Legacy picks up where Effie has left her family (the Chosen) to go and learn how to interpret her visions from her new family (the Triumvirate).

Effie is bold, brave, determined, but also scared to death. Leaving all that she knows behind to begin a new life has brought out some of her old insecurities and emotions. Kieran, her tutor, along with her guardians Lucian and Kael,

I once started in this series with part 2 and found that it was difficult for me to get into the story. Now I was able to read an ARC of Part 1 and I'm glad I had the chance. Just a little more information that I missed when I read part 2. The nice thing about reading this part was that I had more information and knew where it was going to lead. Then you will already read small clues in this part that become clearer in other parts.
This part is a great start to the series The Keepers.

Effie is not a strong willed character or even a strong character. She just acted like a petulant child the whole time. A spoilt “whoa is me” child that didn’t like being told what to do by superiors that are charged with her safety. Instead she likes to be an absolute mole and give attitude at every conversation. It was actually exhausting reading all her conversations because it wasn’t anything normal - it was just her being a bitch with an attitude. Other than her the book and story would

I so wanted Effie to find some peace with her gift. She did find some but also plenty of trouble along the way.

Kieran --- insert a big sigh here --- I had high hopes for him and he made me want to shake him at many moments. I know, I know he was trying but.... Well maybe in the future books he will shape up. :)

This was another powerful and magical book. If is great to see Effie evolve but I feel so bad for her struggle. Her visions bring plenty of scariness and she wants only what is best for h
This was a really quick read. To start with...I already knew that it was obvoiusly going to start up at the point where Effie left the camp. But coming down off the 4 book high of the chosen series it was difficult to fall back into a time when Rowena was still alive. It also made it hard to understand Effie's feelings of urgency. So the 1st half of this book was a bit difficult for me. However, it really picked up. The end left me rady for for more. During this time of quarantine I have basical ...more
