Providing an introduction to applied statistics, this work covers areas including psychology, education, criminal justice and health sciences, with problems on such topics as teacher salaries, drug sales, sports scores, special education, brain differences, hormonal inputs, dogmatism and anxiety, and the use of illegal substances as a function of shyness.
This was my textbook for a graduate class in statistics. The book is detailed with plenty of examples, but I still found it hard to follow. Statistics is a struggle for me and I found myself relying on the class lecture to solidify concepts.
Simple easy to read text book on Stats. Hard part is to remember the formulas when find solutions to problems. Keeping notes on the nitty-gritty is a good principle when reading through each chapter.
