Career girl and radio host hotshot Cady Callahan has never met a chocolate she didn’t love. She has curves and doesn’t care.

She’s shocked when a raffle ticket bought to support a veterans charity means she’s won a year’s membership to Body Tech, an exclusive Manhattan gym, where all the top athletes train and all the A-list actors go to get in shape for their action roles.

Woohoo! Stu & I have just finished the first draft of GYM OR CHOCOLATE! And next week he's shooting the cover. Why am I not on it AGAIN! Stu! Dude! It's MY turn to be on the cover of one of our books!

Heh heh! Nah, I know you wouldn't want me on the cover SIGH. I'll leave that to the good-looking ripped guy.

We've had a ton of fun writing this - hope you love it, too! Coming to your kindles on 13th September!

"I didn't stop to shower at the gym, I simply flagged down the first cab I saw since I couldn't hail an ambulance, and fell inside. I told the driver that there'd be an extra tip if I was still alive at the end of the ride."

Being a big girl myself, there were so many things I could relate to while reading this story. I was mentally cheering Cady on from the start. She's my hero! Being inside her head while reading the dual POV was a treat, and I don't mean the chocolate. She kept me giggling

Ok. So, Stuart Reardon and Jane Harvey-Berrick are back writing together. This time with a romantic comedy. And what do I have to say about it? They nailed it!

I absolutely love this partnership of theirs! You know at first I as skeptical (because it's not always I like books written by a duo of authors) when they released Undefeated, but it was so good and then came Model Boyfriend and with "Gym or Chocolate?" they've defintely

"A seafood diet-I see food, then I eat it." - Cady

First of all, I absolutely love the combination of sassy heroine and grumpy hero. This is like the best formula for some great banter and this book didn't disappoint. I mean, Cady is just wow. The scenes where she was riling up Rick were so funny. And her comebacks - seriously, I was in awe of her quick-wittedness because yep, I'm one of those people who think of a clever comeback hours after having the conversation. So yeah, Cady was freaking

This is a hard one for me to review. It was entertaining at times, implausible at others.
I liked that Cady owned who she was and really didn't give a rat's ass what anyone else thought about her- that was refreshing. I liked that she didn't back down in the face of her detractors and haters. She was funny and witty, and larger than life.

But there came a point when I wanted, needed, her to let go of the doughnuts. I mean, I feel you Cady, I do, I love me some doughnuts. Yet I know if I wanted to

Delish.

I have to say I'm hard to please when it comes to rom coms; my default setting tends to be scorn rather than lol'ing. Well this one did actually tickle my funny bone and made me laugh out loud. That never happens.

The other thing to note was that, even though it was a relatively light read, Cady's determination to train and achieve her goals really resonated with me.

Three years ago in May I joined a gym. I'd joined gyms before and hated it, forcing myself to go and begrudging the monthly

The author duo has returned with a refreshing release, featuring a heroine who is overweight. Not something you see often in the romance genre.

Cady Callahan is the host of a popular radio show in NYC, Morning Munchies. She loves her life and has no aspirations to change anything. That is until she has a run-in with internet bully, Molly McKinney (you might remember this witch from Undefeated, this duo's first collaboration). It is during this encounter that Molly basically goads Cady

I absolutely loved and laughed through this whole book. It was epic and made me want to get off my ass and walk and run.
I honestly was convinced this was going to be a five star read and it was up until 96% and then it took a nose dive into the weird and uncomfortable. And it just couldn’t be redeemed after that.

Writing duo, Reardon and Harvey-Berrick have pulled out the stops and delivered a gem of a rom-com which had me in stitches and got me hooked from the first chapter. So, Gym or Chocolate? It’s the perfect title but in reality, not an easy choice to make if you’re lacking in willpower like me. I have to confess that as I read on, Cady Callahan with her extra pounds and sassy comebacks quickly became my kinda woman. And Rick Roberts, gym

Gym or Chocolate is simply splendid! Jane Harvey-Berrick and Stuart Reardon prove once more just how beautifully they write together with this heartwarming romp featuring the extremely witty Cady Callahan and the brooding Rick Roberts. These two couldn't be more different if they tried. Yet somehow, through the magic of this incredible duo's words, Cady and Rick find themselves gradually drifting into a bit more than just a client/trainer relationship.

The loud-mouthed, zaftig radio host and the

DNF @ 14% I felt like the description of the heroine and the antics surrounding her were outlandish. No pseudo-celebrity could get away with full on calling someone fat or any other offensive slur on national television. Also her eating habits etc seemed played up, like that was what was expected for an overweight person to eat etc. I don't know. Instead of being relatable and endearing it came across as unbelievable and scripted. 2*not working for me*stars

Wow! This book was amazing! My first with Jane and Stuart writing together and definitely not my last. It was so so refreshing to read a heroine that wasn't super skinny, size zero and had to really work to exercise. I truly loved how she accepted herself and from someone who has been there and knows how hard that is, it was truly relatable and kind of inspiring. The banter in this book was hilarious and had me giggling from the beginning to the end. I will be recommending this book to all my ...more

I laughed my patootie off! I started and couldn’t put it down until I finished this fun read with serious issues such as fat shaming and the damage social media attacks can cause to reputations, business and maybe most of all someone’s self image and feelings. I love everything about Cady, the big gal that’s up for any challenge. She is just what you want in a heroine. Funny, smart, sexy, beautiful inside and out, but most of all a really nice human. When she meets the grouchy, hot hunk, gym ...more

We are in for another treat from this fabulous duo Jane and Stuart. This book is not their usual genre sports romance but is a little bit more of a rom-com.

Every now and then there is this unexpected book that finds its way into your life and has a huge impact on it. "Gym and Chocolate" is one of those books for me.

When I started to read this book, I just expected a nice rom-com and a good laugh. I knew that I loved Undefeated and Model Boyfriend by this author duo and knew that no matter what, Gym or Chocolate wouldn't be too fluffy or without substance. What I didn't expect though was how much this book would resonate with me.

This story was so much fun to read! The characters were diverse and interesting, the situation believable, and the dialogue was quick and witty. Add in some serious attraction between the leads and you've got yourself one hell of a rom com!

Rick is super serious about his business, and about life. One of things I really liked about him was the fact that he wasn't a player (outside of his former rugby days). Too often male characters run fast and lose, so to see something different on the page was

What a delicious and fun book to read! As with all these authors’ books, there’s an angsty element included within the funny stuff and the evolving of the characters that just filled my soul. Also, the frequent mention of lemon-glazed donuts had me constantly salivating!

Cady Callahan is overweight and she doesn’t care. She survived school and the constant bullying from other students but eventually came to a place where she accepted herself, her body, her weight and her love of food, tons and

Falling for somebody who seems to be your total opposite? Gym or Chocolate? tells the funny and sometimes hilarious story of Cady and Rick, who each live in a different world when it comes to food and fitness. I love it.

Cady and Rick are very different people. Both are confident in their own skin, but they each have a different outlook on life. Cady is enjoying her life to the fullest. Yes, she knows she’s a big girl, but she has embraced her curves. And divine tasting food… And avoiding

This is a light-hearted, fast paced, humorous romance story. It also has a bully aspect, and sticking it to them. Use that negative and turn it into a positive. :) She is larger than life... not just her size, but her personality as well. After a bully of a girl made fun of her for winning a gym membership, she jokingly said she was going to run a marathon. (Which of course, everyone laughed at.) Just to prove them all wrong, she was determined to go through with it after all. Enter Mr. Personal ...more

Incredible journey reminding us all that we can do anything we set our minds to. Cady loves her life, she is a radio DJ and enjoys the connection she has with fans. The one thing she can’t stand are bullies and when she attends a charity function, she gets thrown right between the sites of Molly, who maintains the “fuglies” and chooses to pick on Cady for her weight. Next thing you know, she has won a gym membership and is now committed to running the New York city marathon. Rick doesn’t like to ...more

Loved it!

I enjoyed everything about this book. Cady was high comfortable in her skin while still mindful of her scars. I loved that she didn’t completely transform her habits but rather evolved over time because that’s how it happens, right? She still loved her lemon glazed donuts (because who wouldn’t?) but then also started embracing some of the healthier changes. Rick drove me crazy but we got to see inside his head, I wish he’d manned up sooner but the gesture was great. As much as I hated

I enjoyed this romantic comedy.
Cady is a big girl and as her catchphrase states has a face for radio. She has no interest in going to the gym or depriving herself of anything that she loves, especially food.
That all changes when she wins a years membership to Ricks Gym and a downright awful media influencer Molly decides Cady is her next victim for her body shaming instagram page.
Cady is absolutely hilarious to Ricks more serious nature but after time regardless of Cady doing every gym nightmare

I have to start out by saying I adored everything about this book - the title hooked me from the start as it’s a question I’ve asked myself more than once. I just knew that the subject matter would resonate with me.

Cady Callahan feels like a kindred spirit. She goes through so many of the same dilemmas as I have (although I’m still waiting to meet my grumpy, yet hot, personal trainer!). Cady’s journey, both emotionally and physically, was like watching a caterpillar morph into a butterfly. She

I was lucky enough to read a ARC of this story. I couldn't put it down and completely fell in love with Cady and Rick. I'll admit that it didn't happen right away, you have to get through some issues and deal with some social media bullies. Then the true magic shines through. Cady is a morning radio show host, # 1 in her time slot. Envied by several co-workers and pretty much bad mouthed by everyone because she's not a size 2 or smaller. She is happy with herself and gets her own digs in with ...more
