Something Wicked This Way Comes…

Vampires are loath to risk their unlives by relocating to new cities. Blood is in scarce supply, werewolves haunt the wilds, and newcomers may break rules upon arrival that they never knew existed. Still, some vampires put the entire Requiem on the line for a taste of the freedom that the road offers ― while others do it to escape their past.

So Let’s Get the Hell Out of Here

A guide to survival outside protected cities, Nomads offers vampires a chance to leave their old domains behind and begin a new Requiem, or to simply go abroad and return home to the evils they know all too well. Begin a new chronicle or take an old one on the road, abandoning characters’ greatest achievements and most deadly failures. Hardcover.

Even though I don't play Vampire The Requiem, I enjoy reading the books and seeing what the world could be like if I ever got the opportunity to play. Nomads has a relatively low score here on Goodreads and I think it is probably because the book doesn't give a lot of story ideas or a lot of information that really surprises the reader. That does not mean it is a bad book, I enjoyed reading it and found a lot of the information interesting and potentially useful if I ever ran Vampire. I think the antagonists were all pretty interesting and intriguing. The abilities for vampires on the road also looked pretty good and would certainly be useful for players of the appropriate type. While the final section is short, the adventure does present a lot of difficult moral choices and a situation that steadily deteriorates. I think you'd have to really plan a way to get the players interested, but I think if you get them out on the road for this task, it should be pretty interesting to see what happens. So while Nomads did not blow me away or ever make me feel like I was dying to play Vampire like some of the books do, I still really enjoyed reading it and think it could be useful in the right circumstances for both players and storytellers.
