Part of the Africa Today series, but should now be considered Africa Yesterday, as this title was published in 1992. Many condescending statements, to the readers as well as the Nomads. Pictures are not captioned leaving the reader frustrated and leading to guessing of the scene's subject from the text.

Does contain some useful information about traditions that make the area/people unique; the nomadic groups; the struggle for and attainment of independence -- comparing the Nomads to Native Americans; and the wildlife.
