Back in the Jurassic period there live a rat as big as a cat. Rat had a very big family and it was up to him to go out each day into the land of the dinosaurs and fetch them home some food. Unfortunately, Rat was rather clumsy.

I adore this picture book. Fun facts are effortlessly woven into this fictional tale about a Jurassic rat that needs to hunt for food to feed his BIG family. Not an easy task for a clumsy rodent surrounded by, among others, dinosaurs and giant snakes. But Rat succeeds! I particularly enjoyed the highlighted onomatopoeic words throughout the story.
