This is a hard book to review because I didn’t love it, but I also didn’t hate it. The second half of the book worked better for me as the pace quickened, however Nadine’s story in the first half was full of surprise & interesting events. This book tells the life story & outlines the memory of a woman named Nadine, she wasn’t prefect & her life wasn’t either, but this book shows that things don’t have to be perfect to be remembered.

Trigger warning: This book talks of mental illness, suicide, and the holocaust.

Nadine is a beautiful dancer made for the stage. Greenberg is the director who loves her from the moment he first sees her. Shortly after their first meeting Nadine disappears only to resurface over a year l

Nadine is such a tragic character, whose only wish is to be loved by the person she loves.
We get to know her through the eyes of Peter Greenberg, a famous name in the English world of theatre. When he sees Nadine for the first time, he falls head over heels in love with her.
But his l
