I love the pictures in this book. It's so fascinating to me to see how a baby grows and develops in the uterus and the photos are incredible. Some of the writing wasn't that good & I noticed several typos, but beyond that, the book is great!

The pictures are really interesting. It's a fast read, being a coffee-table book. The information in it is so-so as far as recommendations go for nutrition and testing and the like.

I have read many books on pregnancy and childbirth, but, this is one of the best. And, it has become even more important to me, as my son and his wife are having my first grandchild and live over 900 miles away - so, this book shows me exactly where the baby is at in this stage of development. I read the whole book last night, and I will go back to it again, as my daughter in law enters the next 2 trimesters...in a way, it helps me to see what is happening, since I cannot be there in person. But, you can bet, when the baby is born, I will be there to hold it and spoil it, like a Grandma should! The illustrations are simply stunning and the quotations on motherhood, on the miracle of life, were well chosen. Thank you, Dr. McCubbin, for this book...
