Some history, some fundamentals of rowing, and a lot about the current state of rowing. As a novice sweep rower and sculler, after some 19 years of using a rowing machine, I found it an enjoyable read.

A good overview of the history of rowing and sculling. I was hoping to find more insight on rowing technique and form, but I did enjoy the book.
