it was a very 'mid-level' but cute and refreshing read. the MC was the chillest, tomboy but not forcing it, feminine and cute, calm female protagonist i have seen and read about for a WHILE. the male protagonist was not bad too! though it's a little bit sad that we didn't get a lot of exploration for his character and life, overall.
I guess this manga is more heavy on the comedy and slice-of-life compared to its romance aspect. Nevertheless, a lot of the moments me smile. And, no toxic masculinity here!! LOVE IT!! all of the characters pursuing a dream that is respected a lot in this manga's universe and i have to say, respect. The author breaking boundaries of romance school life chick-lit mangas and using tropes not many used, especially since this manga was that old!!
just a mini rant, ignore if you're not interested :
a bit (alot) of the minus that i'd have to say though,, it how the plot went no where for like, a big chunk of the manga, and then the plot progresses very rapidly in the middle, with plenty of chapters just introducing characters that are 'enemies' to the main cast but then casted off pretty quickly, needless drama that just created empty tension, not really adding anything? to the story? and the ending was soo rushed i had to look back and forth to see if it really was the end. I shouldn't really judge based on the romance, since i think this series really was not meant to be representing that, the time skip made no total sense, if you're trying to pin it with the last few chapters. The emotions was kinda all over the place, i don't know when nor how the MC ended up liking the male protagonist apart from being friends, and the "second male lead" said he won't give up in the end but then the time skip,, nothing happens and that he moved on??? what???
