True love never dies.

Not even when those around me are trying to kill it. With vampire bounty hunters still out for me, having the Grand Coven accuse me of treason against witches is the last thing I need. No one should tell me who I can and cannot love.

Determined not to let anyone or anything get in our way, Lucas and I decide to lay low for a while and let everything blo

"Things aren’t the same, as much as I want to believe they are."

A lot happens in the book and I was excited to get the answer to a lot of theories I had rolling around in my head! Some of them may or may not have been correct lol. We start the book with an answer to the cliffhanger from the second book. I also love that Emily is able to keep the story fresh with new elements so things don't get boring.

I swear that Callie and Lucas get cuter and more perfe

Meh, I wasn't that impressed with this book. There were a few inconsistencies for me....like how important her coven is to her but then she does the exact thing they forbid her to do. We do get some revelations here about Callie but I think it's time we get to know Lucas more. He's been alive forever and we don't know enough (imo)

Call of Night is the third book in Emily Goodwin’s Throne Hill series, and to understand this one you need to have read the prior books. Each book builds upon the last, adding more and more to the world we were introduced to in the first book. With Call of Night, plenty is added to the series and there is plenty opened up for where the series will head in the future.

Although I loved all that was added to the Throne Hill series in this one, I’m going to be honest and say I wasn’t as in love with

I don't even know where to begin with this book- but I definitely needed it. It is book 3 in the Thorne Hill series and YES you do need to read book 1 and 2 first.
This book follows Callie- who is a powerful witch - immediately after the events of book 2, of Callie being accused of Treason, and being threatened by vampire bounty hunters. It seems both sides are trying to stop Lucas & Callie's relationship- it's against both vampire and witch law for vampires and witches to be friends- let al

Callie and Lucas are BACK and better than ever! Call of Night has been my favorite book in the Thorne Hill Series to date! If you haven’t read Dark of Night and Dead of Night yet you MUST read those first, each book picks up right where the other left off.

Callie and Lucas have a forbidden love. Witches and Vampires aren’t supposed to be together, let alone be in love with each other. They have the ultimate forbidden romance, but they aren’t going to let ANYONE stand in their way of being togeth

Callie and Lucas are back again and their love is hotter than ever! The constant question that has been burning in my mind for the entirety of this series was what is Callie? We've known for a while that she's not just a witch. There have been hints dropped here and there and I was elated to finally know the answer. And you are all in for a treat.

I will say this book didn't quite pack a punch like the first book, but I was happy to be along for the crazy ride that is Callie's life. Between the c

Call of Night is the 3rd book in the Thorn Hill series and a fabulous addition to the series. It continues right where book one ended and was fast-paced and engrossing. So many question were answered in this novel and so many more came up. The twists and turns would leave you shocked and have you glued to pages of the story. You will not be able to put it down. This novel was paranormal/fantasy at it finest, with Callie and Lucas continuing their forbidden love affair while continuing to fight o ...more

This is the third book in The Thorne Hill series and picks up right where we were left off with that cliffhanger at the end of the last book. Callie is once again in some serious trouble after she is accused of treason and has to face the charges brought against her. Yes, she knows she messed up with the ley line and yes, she may have fell in love with a sexy, super old, super powerful vampire. That’s d

This series just gets better and better! I truly cannot put into words how much I love this series and this book. Not only is Callie single handedly my favorite heroine ever, but she is a strong, take no crap, loving and caring woman. She is a witch...and a little something else, but despite what she is, she knows who she is. She doesn’t let labels and unfair laws defined her or her life. She loves her life and loves who she loves despite the backlash. And then there’s Lucas...I didn’t think I c ...more

Call of Night was absolutely perfect. The books keep on exceeding my expectations and gets more thrilling as the series progresses.

At the end of the previous book, we see Callie been charged with crimes against the witch community. That was a whopper of a cliffhanger and made me anxious for this book which couldn’t come soon enough. In Call of Night we get to see more of the progressing relationship of Callie and our hottie vampire, Lucas. I am so jealous of his utter devotion and his undying l

I seriously have a lady crush on Emily Goodwin & her writing. I absolutely love it. She has a way of making you feel a part of the story and makes you connect with each character she brings to you. Love it.
I have loved her writing since I first read The Dawson Family series and so when she came out saying she had a paranormal romance coming, I knew i had to jump on board with this. I loved both books 1 & 2 and book 3 did not disappoint. It only drew me in more.

Well, this installment of the Thorne Hill series has taken a turn that I did NOT expect. I absolutely adored this series and book three does not let down. Between the action, the passion and the secrets that are coming to light, I was blown away by the concept that Goodwin has come up with in this story. Callie is as ever, sassy and witty and does not back down even when she has been told not to do things. Lucas’s love for Callie shines even brighter in this installment as things are thrown at t ...more

This is the 3rd book in this series and it just keeps getting better and better. We finally get some answers to questions we have been pondering since book 1 but those answers just bring up more questions. I loved every second of this book.

Callie just can’t seem to keep trouble away from her. Even a nice girls’ night out turns into finding a dead body and of course a mystery to solve. I love Callie and she just seems to be getting stronger and stronger every book. I see her growing into herself

What a hilarious and amazing book. I laughed out loud more than once, oops.

Callie is one of the most amazing female characters I’ve ever read about. She is badass, sassy, strong and has amazing powers –aka, she’s everything every little girl wants to be. I still want to be her, minus all the demon fighting and almost deaths. I love her, and getting another book about her and her shenanigans is SO good. Lucas. God, Lucas. Book number one, I was okay with him. Two, I started to slowly fall in love

This book is AWESOME!!

These two continue to fascinate and entertain me like no other couple. They're connected and clearly meant to be together and that shows as you read the book. It's pretty amazing.

Call of the Night picks up right where book 2 left off. With  a grand coven member coming after Callie for being with Lucas and showing him the location the door to the covenstead. Which is punishable by death. Turns out this grand coven member has a whole lot more planned for Callie and this is ju

Call of Night is the 3rd book in the Thorne Hill series. This book starts off where Dark of Night left off with Callie being tried by the Grand Coven for having told Lucas, a vampire and her lover where the location of the door to her coven is. The crime is punishable by death if found guilty. Witches and Vampires are not to be together because they are enemies but not Callie and Lucas. They are more in love now then ever.

This story took a turn that took a turn I didn’t expect.

FINALLY!! If you’re like me then the events leading up to book 3 have left you with a million freaking questions and some trust issues. Lol like why is Callie so powerful? Why does she seem to be randomly developing powers/talents that no one else can? Why do the demons keep calling her half breed? Why does it constantly feel like Tabatha knows something about all of it? Thankfully Call of Night reveals quite a bit but not before taking you on a crazy “WTF” journey. THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING!!!! Guys, I cannot explain how PERFECT this book is. Lucas and Callie are back and their story is far from over. I was on the edge of my seat completely hooked with this story, just when you think nothing else can go wrong for this amazing couple, they are thrown into another mix.

Lucas and Callie aren't suppose to be together but their love is so fierce and epic that nothing can tear them apart. The way Lucas loves and protects Callie is out of this wor

Callie and Lucas’s story continues in the third book of the Thorne Hill Series and I can’t get enough of them!

In this third installment of their story we follow them on their journey hunting a rogue demon who’s possessing people they’ve lured to abandoned buildings. While curing Evander of a different possession, being put on coven suspension, finding feathers and oh .. possibly dying of an unnamed illness.

It’s all in a days work (maybe night work is a better term?) for our witch and vamp duo.

What an amazing paranormal series. Callie and Lucas are an incredible couple and Callie always seems to find herself in trouble, saving people from demons as she puts herself at risk. There are those in the coven that seem to have a grudge against her which adds to her daily drama. The fact that Callie and Lucas aren’t even supposed to associate, let alone be in love, pushes all the boundaries of the witch, vampire and demon worlds. Now, there are some astounding twists and turns that are reveal ...more

This is the third book in the Thorne Hill series and it starts off right where the second books ends. Callie and Lucas have to continue to fight to prove their love.

I like the forbidden with and vampire love but this book felt like there was way to much going on. I felt like the main storyline got lost in some parts and it was overly diluted with unnecessary information.

In the end the main characters are what had me pushing throug

Never trust a vampire, but what happens when you love one?

Oh my God! This book is so good. This whole series is amazing. Callie faces her charges and the aftermath of the ley lines closing. But can Lucas and Callie's relationship survive all of this? Callie is her usual badass self, Lucas is his normal steamy, swoony and sexy self. He's also pretty badass but callie is better. You also get to know the secondary characters better in this one. You also begin to understand the relationship between

This is book three in the series and book one and two are a must read before this one (I promise they are so worth the read).

Book three delivered a story in spades...you have everything from Callie being trouble with the Coven, to Lucas and Callie fighting off demon after demon, to Callie and Lucas between the sheets and Callie finding out who she really is (which will send you mind spinning), and just when you think the book cant get any better, the ending of the book happens and will leave you

Call of Night by Emily Goodwin is book three in her Thorne Hill serial. Call of Night is not a standalone. You must read the books in order, or you'll be lost.
The previous books are Dead of Night and Dark of Night.

I. Love. Lucas and Callie.

No, really, I do. Where I gave 4 stars to Dark of Night because I felt like their relationship took a bit of a back seat to the plot surrounding it, Call of Night bounced back and had it all!

Lucas and Callie are stronger together than ever, even as the supernatural world starts to close in on them and threatens to tear them apart.

Their love and their relationship is cute, hot, perfect and off the charts good. And the story that Emily Goodwin has weaved throughout this

Picking up where the second book ended we have Callie still in trouble with the Grand Coven about letting a vampire her boyfriend Lucas know where the door to the Covenstead is situated.

She is acquitted for her actions but she cannot be with Lucas any more or Tabatha the High Priestess can lose her title. So now she has to find a way to be with Lucas and not let her coven down. Throw in Melinda the witch/demon hunter is asking for her help!

This book like every other book in the series is super

So because I'm a rebel, I didn't read the second book in this series. I read the first, but skipped the next book. Admittedly (and naturally), this definitely resulted in me missing a big chunk of storyline.

That being said, I still was able to read and enjoy the book.

Would I recommend this as a standalone book? Yeah maybe if I wanted to mess with someon.

Would I recommend skipping the second book? Meh, only if I knew the person was okay or could get over missing part of the story.
