RATING 4.5 STARS

All the Way is book two in the Hot Jocks series by Kendall Ryan. This can be read as a stand alone. I have not read the first book in this series. But I loved this so much that I most definitely will be keeping up with any future books that come along!

sexy male hockey player

Owen Parrish is a goalie for the Ice Hawks hockey team in Seattle. He’s your typical single, sexy, hot athlete. He can have any woman he wants and frequently does. But always with their acceptance that it’s one night only. His career is his focus.

Becca is close friends with Owen’s younger sister and is also his best friend. She works in administration for the team. She and Owen have been close friends for about four years. Due to something traumatic that happened to Becca back in college, she hasn’t dated in years. She’s lost her confidence. She yearns for that closeness, that bond. She misses sex! But she just can’t. The only person she’s comfortable with is her friend, Owen. Maybe Owen could be like her wing man? Advise her on how to relax, to get out of her own head, help her get past that mental block she so firmly has in place.

“It’s like Owen is my shield of armor, protecting me from the elements.”

Owen has always been attracted to Becca. How could he not be? She’s beyond beautiful, sweet, smart, fun. When she asks for his help dating, the thought of her hooking up with any guy makes him crazy. So maybe he could be her guinea pig! Maybe they could practice together until Becca regains her confidence. Owen’s not a relationship guy. Even if he was, he doesn’t deserve someone like Becca. But maybe he can just bask in her sunshine for a little while?

“The chemistry I was stressing over? Yeah, let’s just say I had nothing to worry about.”

sweet couple

When you first meet Owen, you don’t see the side of him that Becca brings out. But as these two progress, I fell in love with him. He was so careful, so wonderful. He did everything right. He made sure that everything was about Becca. And wow were these two hot together! They steamed up the pages!

This is a sweet, hot, sexy, fun and a wonderful, friends to lovers story that I loved. I couldn’t get enough of these two! Becca might be a bit inexperienced with men but she’s not weak nor is she naïve. She’s brave and strong. And Owen is definitely swoony! I really did love this book. The next book in the series will be Teddy and Sara’s story in Trying to Score. I can’t wait.

Let me start by telling you that I am an epically SLOW reader. What takes you an hour to read takes me two.

I read ALL THE WAY in one day.

I NEEDED this story. I needed to fall into this world with Becca and Owen and experience the heartache, the turmoil, the sweetness, the tenderness and the incredible, patient LOVE woven through the pages.

Becca is such a relatable heroine, independent, strong, with great friends and a past she just can't seem to shake no matter how hard she tries. And Owen is the perfect alpha hero. He melted my heart (and my panties--hot hockey goalie, yes and please) with his tenderness, his care and thoughtfulness.

I loved falling in love right along with the characters.

I loved watching Becca overcome her past and Owen falling in love with her quiet bravery.

If you are looking for an emotional, RELEVANT, very relatable romance with loads of steam, some fabulously funny moments sprinkled into the seriousness of it all, then I highly recommend All the Way. I finished the book with the most dreamy smile on my face and I'm wearing it now as I write this review. I'm also a little teary, because I'm sappy like that.

Empowering, emotional, sexy and gorgeously romantic in all the best ways. ALL THE WAY is absolute perfection.

Do yourself a favour and move this one to the top of your TBR.

This is the second book in the “Hot Jocks” series and I enjoyed it a lot better than the first instalment. I felt this one had way more heart to it.
The story is about two friends who end up falling in love!

Owen is a professional hockey player whom loves women! As long as they are only around for a one night stand, then he’s all for them! Just don’t ask him for any kind of commitment! When his good friend comes to him with an issue she is having regarding her fears about sex... how can he say no?! She was sexually assaulted in College and can’t seem to move past it....Owen steps up to the plate and shows a side of himself even he didn’t know he had.

I personally was worried that I couldn’t get past Owen being a manwhore... but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by his sensitive side. He was amazing when it came to being gentle and loving!
This whole story was touching and I am happy that I gave book two a chance!
I highly recommend this story, and it could be read as a stand alone, even though you meet Owen in book one! Just a feel good read with fairly low angst!

The heroine(s): Becca - She was sexually assaulted by a stranger while in college. Since then Becca has worked to overcome her fears through therapy and time has passed, but she still freaks out when things start to become intimate between her and men. She works in the front office for the

The Hero: Owen Parrish - The goalie of the NHL Seattle team. Owen is a notorious playboy. Owen has been focused on his career and is definitely not a relationship kind of guy. He and his sister Elise are best friends with Becca and know about her history.

The Story: Becca wants to get over her hang ups about being intimate with men and she figures the best way to do that is to get help from one of her best friends. So she asks Owen to give her tips and be her wingman. Owen wants to help Becca but doesn’t want to be her wingman while she gets prepped to be with some random guy, so he agrees to her proposal, but only if he is the one to get her more accustomed to intimacy.

This book was dual POV and dual narration. The narration was done by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon and they did a terrific job. These are two of my favorite narrators. Jason has a great voice for a Hero and it is perfect for Owen, I really enjoy his voice. Erin is also easy to listen to and was great for Becca.

The story was great. I love the sports romance trope and can’t get enough of the playboy that falls in love. I also liked that Owen was not only a genuinely good guy when it came to Becca, he was also a sizzling hot lover that likes to push boundaries. He was the perfect guy for her and they had a ton of chemistry.

Angsty, hopeful, and passionate!

I loved how this story featured two flawed characters and the romance that between them. Becca and Owen may have known each other for years as friends, but it’s their newfound path towards lovers that displays true compassion, acceptance, trust, and honesty with each other. Their fierce friendship blossomed into an emotional dance of desire and intense love. I loved absolutely everything about this story 😍😍

-"Courage isn't about not being afraid. It's being afraid and doing it anyway."

Owen Parrish is living his dream as the star goalie for the Seattle Ice Hawks professional hockey team. The sexy pro athlete has a playboy reputation and is known for being a good time. He’s a hot commodity with the ladies, but doesn’t date, and doesn’t do relationships or complications.

Becca is a 25 yr. old single woman who works in the office at the Ice Hawks arena, and is the assistant to the team owner. She loves her job, and has an amazing group of friends, but hasn’t found the guy who makes her go weak in the knees. She’s been through a dry spell the last few years, and has a rocky past she’s trying to move on from. She’s lonely and ready to put herself out there again, but decides she needs help getting back into the dating scene. She asks her best friend Owen to be her wingman. She trusts him completely, and he’s always been there for her. She figures with her hockey god bestie as a guide she can’t go wrong.

 photo 8EC45918-02DF-462D-B9E2-75143EE7E99B_zpszmg0iron.jpg

Owen would do just about anything for Becca, but helping her hook up with some guy might be too much to ask. He originally thought he could do it, but that’s before he started really noticing her. How did he not see what’s been in front of him all along. He knows he’s not boyfriend material, but that doesn’t mean he can’t take care of her and be exactly what she needs. He decides to take a more hands on approach, and things quickly begin to change between them. She brings out a protective, tender side he never knew existed, and she begins to open up and gain new confidence. Their chemistry goes from zero to nuclear and soon their arrangement turns into more, and suddenly the King of casual wants to possibly commit, and is feeling things that are new and scary. Will they realize they have something meaningful and special, or will their time together have an expiration date?

All The Way by Kendall Ryan is book #2 in the Hot Jocks series. It’s an all new standalone friends to lovers sports romance that is fantastic! It’s a beautiful, heartwarming love story that will have you swooning hard. Owen Parrish had my heart! This is easily my favorite Kendall Ryan book! I couldn’t get enough of this sweet, playful, sexy man. I can’t wait for Sara & Teddy’s book up next!

-Becca is gorgeous, poised, sweet, and smart. Just because we've always stayed firmly in the friend zone doesn't mean I don't notice how attractive she is. You'd have to be blind not to.

-It's not supposed to feel this between us, but it does. It just does.

-This girl- our connection- it's been so unexpected, but now I can't imagine my life without her.

Very disappointed in this book. I really enjoyed Justin and Becca’s story from book 1, but there was very little story here. It was ALL sex scenes! I like some story and character development with my sex, thank you. One sex scene after another, which were loooong and detailed, but not interesting, which is the most important part!! Any storyline between sex scenes was glossed over and rushed. In a word, it was boring. I kept reading, (but I had to skim a LOT) just hoping that something would happen, but the same things happened over and over. Hot go go go STOP! Repeat. Repeat...

I also felt zero connection to these characters. It was like the story was told from a cool distance (except the oversharing sex scenes.) I didn’t FEEL anything. I never felt their emotions, i never cheered or them, they just WERE, and I was sooo bored. And the whole naive idea that close friends can have a sexual relationship without it changing the relationship and no one would ‘get feelings’, is just ridiculous. I can do friends to lovers trope all day (my favorite!) but Friends with Benefits? Nope.

Someone in another review said that this is basically the same story of book 1, recycled, and I agree.
Similarities? Immature couple who are constantly partying, heavy drinking as a whole friend group (doesn't that get old?), keeping relationship secret from said friend group, fooling their friends and sneaking off to be together. One scene was IDENTICAL. The heroine gets her period and flakes out on going out but is too squeamish/ immature to admit why, thinks Hero only wants her for sex, hero finds out, 'can I come over anyway? I actually like you. I don't mind sitting watching a movie with you while you have your period'... EXACT same. it was cute the first time, the second was deja vu. And lazy! Is that seriously the ONLY way the author could think to show us that hero liked her for more than sex??? Two books in a row in a series??

One HUGE problem for me was that the entire set up of this story was that the heroine had been assaulted / nearly raped and she was still traumatized years later. Ok, got it. BUT the hero of this story was ACTUALLY raped / sodomized with a dildo against his will while handcuffed, and it was treated as a joke!! Remember the 'sex emergency' alluded to in the previous book? Well, the bonus scene tells us what happened and his actual rape is treated as a gag. How are we supposed to take the one almost-raped-but-rescued-in-time sexual assault as traumatic for LIFE, but laugh at the man being restrained and sodomized in the same book??? Did this bother no one else???

Becca and Owen have been best friends for a long time. Of course she was best friends with his sister first, but they have their own special friendship. He’s a hot hockey hunk, and she’s the girl that works for the boss and knows all about hockey. So of course they become best friends! That all changes when Becca basically propositions him to get her back in the saddle after she was assaulted many years ago at college. Becca trusts him and that’s important considering her past. Owen truly love Becca as a friend, and would do anything to help her, so he does.

I really loved Becca and Owen’s story, because although Becca’s past experience was heavy, her story now was showing how much of a survivor she was. Obviously not everyone’s experience/recovery with assault is the same, but I did love this take on it. I also loved that of course this best friends with benefits relationship unexpectedly turns into more. It honestly felt very natural and sweet.

If you’re looking for an easy read, that has the best friends to lovers trope mixed with hockey romance, then you will love All the Way!

Five hot stars for Becca and Owen ❤🔥!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I've never had enough of Kendall's books and this book is definitely one of my favorite from her.

What is better than a book with friends to lovers trope (and which is also sister's best friend trope)?

Nothing.

Because books like this one make your day better 😉!

"All the Way" is sweet and sexy book at the same time and it's one of the books I've read so quickly because of the storyline and great characters.

Becca's and Owen's love story is sweet, funny and sexy but also there were the parts which broke my heart.

I was so happy when I finished reading the book because Becca and Owen finally found their HEA, after all, they both been through.

If you're looking for a funny but also romantic book, this is the one you should read it!

"Este es Owen. Mi lugar seguro. Mi protección contra la tormenta que constantemente se libra dentro de mí".

All the way de Kendall Ryan libro 2 de la serie Hot Jocks

Becca and Owen.

We already met them in the first book ... and I was excited to see how they would find their HEA.

And it was cute and sexy ... I liked reading it.

BUT I also think it just wasn't the day for me and this story. It all felt too ridiculous. The whole idea of helping her in the first place and then leaving and coming back and no and yes and again and again. And his super weird sudden sexual Fifty Shades-ness. Too much.
Plus everything reminded me of the amazing Brooklyn Hockey series by Sarina Bowen - even the name Becca, her job, and what happened in her past.
And the writing didn't really flow through my mind the way a story has to for me to love it.
It was just not my book. Sorry. Maybe it was just my mood today - I really hope so!

I cannot tell you how happy Kendall Ryan has made me. She wrote Becca’s character flawlessly. It’s important to make sure that stories are real and relatable even when they are fiction. That people with circumstances are portrayed properly. This story was real. Becca was real. Her circumstances were real. Well done.

What are best friends for if we can’t ask them to help us navigate a serious circumstance in our lives? Becca asked and Owen delivered *swoon* Their story was sweet and poignant, sexy and fun, emotional and moving with a whole lot of heart. Both Becca and Owen were incredible to read, and I was a little sad to see their story end. It went by too quick for me!

I have been a longtime fan of Kendall Ryan and could not wait to jump on All The Way. I loved Becca and Owen and how delicious their chemistry was. Besides being a great combination of sports romance (hockey, anyone?) and a friends to lovers romance, this story was also emotional and sweet as we see a wounded heroine taking a chance on intimacy again. I loved the different facets of this story and how Ryan was able to successfully highlight each integral part.

When Becca needs help getting back into the dating game after a tragic attack, she looks to her bestfriend Owen Parrish, pro athlete and hockey god/ladies man for some hands-on tips. But when their little experiment begins to feel like a real relationship and lines get crossed, Owen and Becca have to decide if their friends with benefits agreement is enough for them both.

Gah! I enjoyed this story immensely. It was sexy and emotional and serious. Don't get me wrong, it had light-hearted moments as a Kendall Ryan novel always does, but I also enjoyed the serious tone of the novel as Becca was trying to overcome a painful issue and lingering trauma from her past. In addition, I loved how strong, determined and fiercely sassy she was. Owen, likewise, was deliciously protective and loving and boy did he know how to teach Becca a few tricks in the bedroom. Overall I loved this story. It was fiery and addicting and another fantastic Kendall Ryan story! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

Congratulate me on yet another [author] break up book.

I skipped the first one in the series bc it had lower ratings and I thought "sex tutor" vibes?! Yes. With a hockey player?! A goalie???? Very little hockey and sex tutor was really just getting it on slowly, I guess.

And well, it was just a convenient plot device to go friends to lovers without having too long to develop. And I didn't like the discussion of women in this book, I didn't enjoy a lot of it. And I won't be picking up Ryan's books again. I ended up skimmng just a shit ton of the in between. And the sex scenes. It was just boring.

Becca and Owen have been close friends ever since he joined the team. She is the team owner's assistant and they regularly hang out together. It has always been purely platonic, Becca has made it clear that she is only focused on work and is not interested in casual hook ups.

As a popular NHL player with looks that capture capture the attention of girls, Owen has had a very active sex life. He pretty much has a revolving door and is happy to satisfy a willing partner. Becca is the complete opposite, she gets nervous around guys and lacks the confidence to date. Until one drunken night has Becca spilling confessions to Owen.

She thinks she is broken and she desperately wants to feel ‘normal’ around guys. She asks Owen to help her overcome her fears by being intimate with her. She doesn’t want to be alone for the rest of her life, she wants to feel confident so that one day she can have a future with that someone special.

Owen is not a saint, it has not escaped him how gorgeous she is but knowing that she is out of bounds means he has never really entertained the idea of anything with her. Becca is not the kind of girl you have a one night stand with, she is the sort of girl you marry. However, he finds himself agreeing to help her, he wouldn’t want her asking any other guy and they already have a huge amount of trust between them so it makes sense.

What Owen did not expect was to fall for Becca. Oh yes, the old game of friends with benefits with no chance of feelings joining the party… we all know how that works out! It was really sweet to see this softer side of Owen and I love how Becca slowly grew in confidence and owned what she wanted and needed.

This is the second story in this stories but they can be read in any order.

I think I found my new favourite book by Kendall Ryan.
All the Way was such a fun and sexy book with imperfectly perfect characters and a story that is perfect for those that love a friends to lovers trope.

Owen is deliciously flawed and I love this sexy hot athlete.
Becca is sweet, smart and so much fun.
Owen and Becca together?I loved them together! With Becca, he became a gentle giant and I fell more in love with him each time for it.

There was nothing forceful about pace of the storyline and I think that was one of the reasons why I absolutely love this book. Everything felt so natural...nothing felt over the top.

All The Way is without a doubt sexy, romantic and emotional. I had such a fun time reading this book and I honestly hope you give this book a try.

Gah! I love a good sports romance and All the Way was a fantastic addition to the Hot Jocks series. I really enjoyed reading Playing For Keeps, but All The Way completely stole my heart. I absolutely loved it! Becca and Owen's story was both beautiful and moving, and had me 100% enthralled from the start.

Becca is the team owner's assistant for the Ice Hawks, a pro hockey team. Several years ago she suffered a tragic event which left her scared of intimacy. Now she's finally decided to get back into the dating game, and who better to help her than her best friend Owen. He is the starting goalie for the Ice Hawks who lives the whole playboy pro athlete life. He has never wanted anything meaningful or real. Girls are simply a means to an end for him. But that all changes after he agrees to help Becca with some hands-on pointers. During their little experiment, lines become blurred, and they have to decide if taking the next step is something that they both want.

I loved Becca & Owen's story immensely! It was sexy and sweet with plenty of heart-felt and swoon worthy moments. I enjoyed watching their longtime friendship evolve into something so beautiful and magical. I loved the playful banter between them, their sizzling hot chemistry and how Owen was able to help Becca heal from her difficult past. The build-up of their relationship was so sweet, and I was rooting for them the whole way. All in all, this was another fantastic Kendall Ryan story! Please do yourself a favor and one-click when this goes live. I am here to tell you, that you will not be disappointed. 5 sweet and sexy stars!

this gave me The Deal vibes.

Becca wants Owen's help to get back into dating, but we all know those friends with benefits relationships end.

if you want something like the deal but after college, this is for you, is sweet, sexy, and short.

1 ⭐️ ok respectfully, wtf?! this book was almost a copy of the last book in this series. and that wasn’t anything worth repeating… key moments in this book were almost exactly the same. what is the point of writing two books if you’re fundamentally telling the same stories?

i can appreciate that these are quick, easy reads but this was shallow and i won’t be reading anything further from this author.

I read this as a stand alone, and it was just fine. About half-way thru though, I started to lose interest as it dealt so heavily with trauma of the heroine being formerly raped. I prefer my romances to be a little lighter in that particular drama area. I did like how the author showed the hero slowly falling for the heroine as a person, instead of a sex partner though.

I am utterly enjoying this sports romance series and this book was so much better than the first! I freaking loved Owen and Becca. This was a friends to lovers with meaning and power. Their friendship was full of trust, reliability, respect, a true connection that only made their journey into a real relationship all that much better.

Owen completely won my heart. He was so sweet, patient and he just cared so much for Becca and just wanted to do what was best for her. He put her above anything else and that made my heart happy. Becca had been through a terrible experience that derailed her life and years later, after much turmoil, she was ready to grab her life by the balls and get over the accident that was stopping her from living her life like she wanted to. To do so she needed the help of someone she trusted - Owen and boy was he perfect for the job.

These two were a joy to read about. I completely adored their journey. They were perfect for each other and it took them very little time to see it once their plan was put to a start. Owen was an oxymoron, he was gentle and caring with Becca and her situation but he was also such an alpha male and so damn hot. He was truly the best of both worlds and Becca completely hit the jackpot with him.

I can't wait for the next book! We got a glimpse of who it will be about and how it will go at the end of All The Way and I am so excited!

Gah!! This one hit me smack dab in the heart! Like Cupid’s arrow straight through!! A slow build up of anticipation had me turning the pages as fast as i could! Patient is definitely a virtue! Kind , considerate, sweet and sensual is what comes to mind! The chemistry was of the charts!! Tragedy is confronted by love and love undoubtedly conquered!! Another amazing story by Kendall that will leave you satisfied in all aspects!!

Angsty, hopeful, and passionate!

All the Way, the latest novel in the Hot Jocks series, is a slightly more emotive tale about the scarred, hesitant Becca who after suffering an assault in the past is having a hard time moving forward, and the handsome, hockey stud Owen who is more than happy to help his best friend find her mojo again.

The writing style is seamless and sincere. The characters are patient, supportive, committed, and lovable. And the plot is a delightful mix of life, love, friendship, family, self-discovery, empowerment, scorching chemistry, and steamy romance.

Once again with All the Way, Ryan has proven that not only is she one of the best at writing contemporary romance stories that are humorous, light, bursting with sexual tension, and full of characters we can’t help but root for, but also emotionally compelling ones.

Thank you to Kendall Ryan for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.
