Coming home to Friendly was the last thing Cord Hayes ever intended to do. The MC had declared him outcast when he'd run off to join the Navy. His brothers had grown up without him. But when he was wounded and no longer fit for service, the military sent him to the last place he wanted to be - the place where he'd lost everything. Tori Malcolm was a ghost. Her only plan was to pay penance for the mistakes of her past, and the last thing she needed was a scarred soldier getting in her way, especially one who did nothing to hide his hatred for everything she represented. When their worlds clash, it's only their mutual need for retribution that keeps them working together as they delve into the dark underbelly of Friendly and discover dangerous secrets that put the Southern Rebels and everyone they love at risk. There will be five books set in the Southern Rebel MC world, each a standalone with recurring characters and overlapping story lines. No cliffhangers. Each one will have a happily ever after. Warning violence, language, and unshakable family loyalty lie ahead. Come meet the Hayes brothers of the Southern Rebels Motorcycle Club.

This one was different. A good different.
I really like these brothers. They are all unique and badass.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I chose to read this book because honestly I needed to get the good stuff between Jailbait and Creed.
I was having a hard time actually getting into Cord's story because I feel genuinely jipped on the conclusion of book one (meaning everything was left up in the air). So I decided to read the reviews for this book...well apparently Jailbait and Creed STILL have not had sex. I know that seems stupid to want, but I am who I am, and for me that solidifies a relationship in books. So unfortunately this book is a DNF at 23% for me.

On closer review, the author that wrote this book also has a 3 book shifter series that begins with "The Pack". And I think the H/h don't have sexy time until the last book, and if I remember correctly that was glossed over YA style. I don't have a problem reading YA...when I know AHEAD of time! I am honestly not sure if I will ever come back to this series or this author.

i wasn't sure when i started this one if i would like it as much as the first ... but i am so glad i kept reading. it continues the original story arc started in book one and also offers a romance that develops despite animosity and contempt. and there is plenty of snark, sass and sarcasm which makes for really excellent reading with plenty of giggles and laughs.
will def continue reading this series

I have fallen in love with the Hayes brothers!

I first read Jailbait a while back and just absolutely fell in love with the characters. Honestly I felt like I knew them as I was reading. I couldn’t wait for this book to released and when it was let me tell you I was excited. And it did not disappoint!! The emotions that are put into every page is so wonderfully done. I don’t even have the words to describe how much I enjoyed this book, and the all the characters involved so far in these stories.

Not bad, for sure. I’m not going to lie though, I’m real annoyed at how it ended. I was really hoping for a better wrap up and I wasn’t pleased with the kind of cliffhanger it left us on. It seems like it’s going to bleed into the next book, but if these continue to be somewhat standalone, I feel like it’s going to skip right into the next couples romance and leave things left to be desired as it pertains to Cord and Tori’s story. Since I haven’t read the 3rd book, I’ll leave it at that and hope I’m pleasantly surprised and the story continues with their involvement too.

Enjoyed it. But it's very similar to a book I've read previously. Needs a better proof reader. Lots of 'where' instead of 'were' and more than a few sentences missing prepositions.

4 Keeps Heating Up Stars

The prodigal son returns.

Cord has come home, sporting a medical discharge from the Navy. Things are a little rocky at first between the brothers, blood and chosen. Pride and anger getting in the way, but everything becomes copacetic eventually.

When Tori was first introduced into the story I was very confused, to say the least. It was surprising that she was already connected the Rebels, in a roundabout way. She’s tough and a little scared. The only person she lets keep her down is herself. Kind of like Cord.

Tori’s gone vigilante because of her issues with drugs, and her own version of making it up to those she hurt when she was using.

The Vipers’ and Monty’s misdeeds come to light, and their attempts to frame the Aces. We meet a few of those Aces, and the Rebels make a loose alliance with them to go against the Vipers.

I’m very confused with Norah’s running off and what Deacon’s phone has to do with with this situation.

Who left Vivian the note?
And can we expect a pairing between her and Crew coming up?

Great read

I read this book in less than 12 hours. Only took that because I have kids and require sleep. Another great installment in the MC series. I am about to get Crew's story and devour that one too. I just wish I didn't have to wait on Clutch's story to release.

Cord and Tori are both broken people who refuse to have attachments and are both trying to run from those who care about them. They come together over a shared drive to rid Friendly of drugs and come to rely on each other. I'm curious to know more about Tori's sister Vivian because I felt like there's more to that but am not sure if Kristin plans on fleshing that storyline out anymore or not. Buy the book it's worth your time and money!

And the plot thickens!!

Love this series. I absolutely fell in love with jailbait and couldnt wait for this one! It was certainly worth the wait. I story about redemption, overcoming your demons and finding love when you least expect it. Beautifully written. Im enjoying the sense of mystery also and the secrets. Certainly shows nothing is as it seems in Friendly. Cant wait for the third book. I loved how we see characters we follwed in the first book in this one also. Love creed and jailbait, id love to know if they finally went that extra step in their relationship though. Side note: a few grammer and spelling errors here and there so needs to be re=edited.

Addicted to this series!

Cord finally comes home to face the family he left behind, Tori has no home to go to when her family up and left her at the lowest point in her life. When the two meet it’s a hate to like to love to hate to love type of relationship full of trust issues and understanding on deeper levels. Great storyline good character chemistries and I’m so ready for book 3!

Fabulous read!!

I read the first book of this series and didn’t really expected I’d fall in love with the book. I most certainly did though which lead me to reading the 2nd book and I didn’t think it could get better but it did! Can’t wait to read the whole series! If you like bad boys and women who have a past of secrets this series it for you. This one kept me guessing I kept trying to figure out tori story but I was never fully right on it. Love this book so much!

Cord and Tori

Another great story. Cord's distrust of Tori is understandable, since she is a recovering drug addict and also for what he lost nine years ago. Tori is in Friendly playing vigilante against the drug dealers. These two meet up and are like oil and water, but have the same goal in mind where there town is concerned. A few twist and turns throughout and plenty of butt whooping. Happy reading.

slow burn

Book two continues on from book one but focus’s on different MC’s. Each book is a standalone with recurring characters and overlapping storyline’s.
The spice again only lasted one chapter and at the end of the book. I would have liked to have seen more from this book, but if you like low spice slow burns then this would be up your alley!

This time, the heroine isn't so over the top "bad ass". But like in the first book, the "Romance" comes to short. There isnt really chemistry between the two and bang, they are together in the end.
It's really a shame, because she writes really good, it's not boring...

Another amazing story --

This story is not easy. Two people who have had real life problems and how they have dealt with them. Tori is just amazing -- you can't help but pull for her. Looking forward to book three.

A good one

This was a hard one for me because Cord made me mad for most of the story. He was so judgmental and he assumed so much. This is a good one for the series though. I’m glad Tori ran into him he needs her.

Loved it ❤️

This is a book about family and forgiving yourself to be able to move on to better life. All it takes is the right support around you and you can accomplish anything. The story continues where the last one left off and we get answers but the story continues.

Really good

These stories are really good but I'm not sure I'd classify them as romantic. If they are it's G or maybe PG if you get lucky. That being said these characters claw their way into your life and don't want to leave. On to Traitor and Crew's story.

I really enjoyed Cord's story and the fact that the FMC was named Tori! It's rare for me to find a character with the same name. Super clean (until the literal last chapter) and a good development of two hard characters.

Great book

Why Amazon insist on 20 words for a review via kindle, I don't know. Especially when I just want to say that I really enjoyed this book.
