Abanes attempte to show other fundamental Christians what Mormons really believe. He does an effective job of describing the doctrinal differences Mormons have with mainstream Christianity, such as grace and works, the Godhead/Trinity, and the ability to become like God. The book does justice to LDS doctrine but the author has a lot of snide remarks and a quite patronizing attitude. He uses many comments from BYU scholars to legitimize his findings.
