Gritty star-crossed lovers? You have no idea . . .
ANGEL I thought I knew bad times. The worst times. My dad murdered, the MC that’s rightfully mine ripped apart by corrupt rule. I didn’t know anything about true horror until I met a Tennessean girl named Mercy.
Angel and Mercy, frigging ironic, right? You don’t know the half of it. Blood Legion MC is my legacy, and revenge against me is Mercy’s. If you’re looking for gritty star-crossed lovers in the Crescent City, you’ve found it. Because there’s a damn good chance one of us won’t make it out of here alive.
MERCY I’m at the mercy of my menfolk. Mercy . . . ironic, isn’t it? Because my cousin and my uncle show no mercy to me, despite my name. I’m used against my will. I’m beaten and worse when I don’t behave. I have no freedom, only one friend, and no chance of escape even though New Orleans is so vibrant I feel like I could touch the colors.
I fled the compound for just one night. I shouldn’t have. I met a biker called Angel—Angel. He’s blond as a seraph, but big and tall and full of sweet talk I’ve never heard before. Except he’s my family’s enemy.
Angel can’t be my only hope because my kin have vowed to take out him and the rest of the Blood Legion MC in one big Tenn-tucky blaze of glory.

Holy hell, Cry Mercy is phenomenal! Yep, I said it, I mean it—phenomenal. It covers the usual MC basics:
✓ Tough, gritty, hot AF leading man ✓ Strong, smart, sexy leading lady ✓ Loyal, take no s%^t MC members ✓ Despicable misdeeds that must be avenged
Gah, I don’t even know where to start . . . so, I’m just going to keep it simple.
You need to meet Mercy and Angel. You need to read their story—their romance. Their rise from the ashes. Both have been dealing with horrible pasts—recovering from horrible situations. Situations that would leave others dead or crying in a corner. Situations where others would have zero humanity. Zero will to live. Zero ability to love.
I couldn’t read Cry Mercy fast enough. To see what the hell happened. To make sure that Mercy and Angel were okay—that they really made it. That their pasts weren’t going to get in the way of their future. Be prepared to laugh, cry, cheer, grimace, and swoon! ~ Missy, 5 stars
Angel was everything you expect a president of a MC to be. Rough and always ready! But he had such a tender heart underneath. This was edging towards the dark side at times, but the main focus was the budding romance between Angel and Mercy, with Mercy needing rescue from her family. I look forward to getting to know the other guys. A sexy, steamy, enjoyable read.
Cry Mercy is full of alpha males and strong women. MC prez Angel discovers he's attracted to the neice of a rival gang. This book picks up shortly after the end of the Bad Boys of X-Ops series and welcomes familar faces along with new members and a new lease on the right side of the law. The club is a family and it's obvious in the good natured ribbing between the guys and their protectiveness towards women. With that being said - this book does contain potential triggers regarding abuse/non-consensual sex but I feel Rie handles it well and offers to reveal spoilers herself at the beginning if you would like before reading. I'm not a fan of typical dark romances but Cry Mercy tends to hover just on the edge of dark without completely crossing that line. I loved being able to immerse myself in another one of Rie Warren's MC stories and can't wait to read the next installment in the Blood Legion MC and revisit one of my favorite cities, New Orleans
Let's start by saying this is a first-time author for us and we enjoyed our first read by them. The story was pretty much action-packed from beginning to end.
The story had a great cast of MC characters that were loving, kind, protective, loved the ribbing and teasing each other but, no doubt we saw the love they had between them as it was all there for those to see. These men were downright dangerous too "so", the perfect mix.
We loved Angel the man went from nailing everything he could to pretty much love at first sight but, he set his sights on one woman riddled with a ton of complications. We loved how protective, kind, loving, and caring he was toward Mercy from the moment he met her.
Mercy was a woman who lived a life of slavery and pain and brutality and yet remained a woman who was caring and loving one who had a sense of humor and one who would give her life just to protect the ones she loved a cared about. Mercy was special because not only did she have Angel wrapped around her little finger she also had an entire MC club that came to love her in no time at all.
"Our relationship had been built on danger, survival, death, and . . . limitless hope."
Overall the story had action and suspense from the onset to the very end but, it was also one filled with emotion. We enjoyed the story and we are looking forward to the next in this series.
Amazing! Rie Warren manages to write these addictive stories that grab your attention and don’t let go. Mercy is a great character. She is quite obviously a victim without having a “poor, pitiful me” mentality. Even with all she has been through, she’s pretty badass. And Angel is so sexy. He’s alpha, without being overbearing. One of the sexiest qualities about him is he isn’t ashamed to let everyone know how wrapped up he is in his woman. The other MC members didn’t get a ton of exposure in this book but I would certainly read anything those guys appeared in. As supporting characters, Miss Warren gives just enough of them without muddling the story. Also, without giving anything away, I have to say it’s never a bad thing when Storm and Walker make an appearance. Whether you are a huge fan of Rie Warren or have never read anything she’s written, this is an outstanding book and I cannot recommend it enough. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and I feel like I need to go back and read all the others again. Phenomenal start to the series.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, suspense, heartbreak, and love.
This is Mercy and Angel’s story. Mercy escaped her family for one night and met Angel who is a biker and sweet where she expected scary. But her one night just be too much as the man she met is the one her family wants to take out. These two should be enemies but are drawn together for pleasure. She needs someone to save her. He needs her for his own. Can they figure out the war and revenge? Or will they have to fight for each other and win the war together?
I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
Cry Mercy is a fantastic way to start the new MC series by the amazing Rie Warren! This book had everything you want in a MC book and a few surprises that you are not expecting, like laugh out loud moments involving man-bun wearing hipsters. Mercy was so strong despite her horrible past and Angel was so protective of Mercy without taking away her freedom. The chemistry between Angel and Mercy was so hot I expected to see steam coming out of my kindle. This is definitely not your average star-crossed lovers story and I can not wait to see what else Rie Warren has in-store for us in this new series.
For those of you who might have forgotten, we visited New Orleans with Storm and Blaize when they posed as a biker couple and we discovered Angel, who low and behold is Storm’s half brother.
Angel is now in charge of the Blood Legion MC as Prez, and it’s on the up and up......mostly, and he can also have just about any woman he sets his sights on. When he sees some fresh blood in the form of Mercy, he quickly shows an interest.
Mercy goes to the bar run by the Blood Legion MC, just trying to have a little freedom from her family. But it becomes clear quickly that her family is out for blood with regards the MC❣️
Loved this story and quickly fell for Angel and Mercy who have an amazing chemistry together💕 I look forward to Grace’s story next and finding out more about our mysterious Veep, Slade😍
I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
Angel and Mercy’s story is an exciting start to a new series. Fans of the author will recognise Angel from previous books but Mercy is new. On the surface, the hardened MC president and the vulnerable runaway don’t have much in common but the two are inexplicably drawn to each other.
I love Mercy. There’s fire beneath her vulnerability and Mercy refuses to be anyone’s victim. Even after surviving terrible abuse, Mercy is fierce and her grit and her skills are a constant surprise. I do recognise that Mercy’s recovery is far too quick and not very realistic. Parts of this story may trigger readers who have experienced sexual abuse or domestic violence. But Mercy is a great match for Angel and she’s a formidable opponent to anyone who crosses her.
Angel is a great character. As the MC president, he’s firm, fair and just a little bit ruthless. I love his relationship with his club members and I enjoyed his surprise and confusion when Mercy unexpectedly turns his world upside down.
This is an exciting story and it’s a pretty quick, easy read. I enjoyed the clashes between Mercy’s neo Nazi family and Angel’s club and I love the lighter moments as Angel’s club attempts to go legitimate. The mix of hipsters and bikers in the club bar made me laugh and I enjoyed getting to know the other members of the MC. I really enjoyed this first story and I’m already looking forward to the next book.
I thought Cry Mercy was a good story it wouldn't be the first book that I've read by the author but by far this would be my favorite by Rie Warren and I'm excited to see what's to come in the Blood Legion Mc series . Mercy is a fighter I admire how she refuses to be a victim again after what she has been through she didn't let it define her , what can i say about Angle just wow he really come through for the heroine in so many ways he doesn't try to take her fire away he ignites it even more . I can't wait to read more by the author and this series . I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book **************************************** hero=9 heroine=9 secondary characters=9 Chemistry=10 steam=6 romance=6 humor=3 darkness level=4 action=4 mystery= 4 enjoyment=8 angst= 4 story line= 10 Story ending=10 character development=10 pacing=10 cover=10 Blurb =10 Stars =4 Is this part of a series =yes Can it be read as a standalone =yes would I recommend this book=yes would I re read this book= yes would I read future books by this author= yes
The story is a bit choppy and nothing "new". Its Insta lust, no Ow drama no cheating.
The h for so one so skilled with guns and knifes, didn't defend herself... Just Couldn't getting it.
The H was all alpha and swoon worth! The first two paragraphs are hilarious!!
"The officers of Blood Legion MC filed past, and I swore to hell getting them to chapel was like herding feral fucking cats."
"Heythe man with the thick black beard. “Do I have to slam the gavel, or can we get down to biz now?” Squinting through a plume of smoke, Slade advised, “Probably be more effective to just shoot a round in the ceiling to get our attention.” He probably didn’t think I’d do it. Reaching for the sling on the back of my chair, I hauled out a shotgun., it wasn’t a sawed-off—like my mamere’s. Had a permit for it and everything . . . during hunting season. Hunting feral cats."
English its not my first language, so it was a little hard to understand some of the slangs.
If I wasn't a fan of Rie Warren's before this book would have made me one for sure. The crazy roller coaster of not only emotions but of the action and what will happens had me flipping these pages one right after the other. I was hooked and couldn't put this book down and when I had to, it wasn't pretty. I felt so emotionally invested in the outcome. My heart was breaking in my chest for everything that Mercy has gone through and still has to face in this book.
Mercy is the perfect person for Angel, not only because it seems like fate with their names but she is the other half of Angel. She fits right in with the MC men. She is loyal, loving, caring and a spitfire and protective of those she cares about. That will find her in some trouble for sure in this book.
I am so thrilled that I started this series and if this is any indication on how this series will be then we better hold on for one hell of a ride. I can't wait to get the next in the series!!!
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
***Triggers*** Violence against women, sexual assault, humiliation, forced drug use
I love dark, angsty books but I must admit I had a hard time with this one.
The story of Angel and Mercy is a dark one and one that seems rushed to me. Mercy's life is not what you would expect of a young 20 something. She's basically a prisoner of her uncle, who on good days provides her with little food and clothing. On bad days, Mercy knows that mercy is just an illusion something people talk about but never finds.
Angel has finally gotten his MC on the straight and narrow. Making money by opening up the MC bar to the locals and tourists, he knows that this won't last forever but he's willing to ride the wave until the end.
Then a girl walks into his bar, looking like the angel he was named for. There's something about her that calls to him. Mercy sees him looking at her across the room and thinks for a moment, maybe just maybe, she can have a life.
The instant she realizes what her uncle is going to do Angel's club, Mercy escapes to warn him. She knows that she will never be free of her uncle but she will bask in Angel's mercy as long as she can.
All of the events in this book happened in a relatively short period of time. A person who has endured as much trauma as Mercy I believe would take a longer time to open up to a man and to start a sexual relationship with him.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This is a tough read, no fairytales, in fact deals with the gruesome abuse of a woman who continues to be strong and care for others over herself. And that is what should be taken from this difficult read, I think. It was difficult to read some of the things which happened to Mercy, really difficult. But I do think that the story overall is well worth a read. It might not be the best place to dip a first toe into an MC romance, but for a veteran, it will make sense.
There are some moments of light in the darkness, but this is one of those books which will make you very glad that you are not Mercy - even if she does meet her Angel!
I am looking forward to future installments - especially the next one which I am guessing will give us Grace's story.
A terrific read! Angel, the president of an MC discovers he’s attracted to Mercy, the niece of a white supremacist family and rival gang. They meet in his clubs bar and have a brief but stimulating conversation, she then disappears for day’s but suddenly reappears, bruised and beaten, warning him of an impending attack her family has planned for the Blood Legion MC. A dark read at times, full of thrills, action, violence and love. Very entertaining. I loved it!
Rie has done it again! She’s pulled me in to another MC with enigmatic characters. She has a away of endearing us to her characters with laughter and pain. Not to mention, the men are sexy as hell, and the women are strong, beautiful and scarred. A lot of authors fall into a mode of repeating stories with the same characters whose only differences are the names. Not Rie. Every story has its on personality and feeling. Angel and Mercy’s story is just that. Read Cry Mercy.
Rie Warren yes!! I’ve wanted Angel and the Blood Legion MC ever since she wrote Storm(Bad Boy Of Retribution MC) . I was beyond stoked to learn she was answering my prayers.
Angel’s finally at his rightful place of his MC, as the president. With the help of his brother Storm they got rid of the trash. Now, the MC is on the right side of the law. They own their bar, opened up a tattoo shop and even paying taxes.
Angel is very happy with the way his life is and wouldn’t change it. Until he spots a beauty in the bar one night. She’s brighter than the rest and doesn’t dress up to impress or push up to any guy to get seen. Angel goes right to her and when she said her name was Mercy he knew they were meant to be. When she goes to run away he thinks he’ll never see her again. When she does comeback it’s to warn him their about to be attacked. Angel knows things will never be the same.
Mercy was able to skip out when her uncle wasn’t around. When Mercy went into the bar and bought a beer she was in awe. These bikers and hippies all getting along and hanging out, wasn’t like anything she’d ever seen before.
Mercy’s uncle, brother and the rest of their gang hate the Blood Legion MC. They’d killed her brothers years ago. When Mercy meets Angel she wants to know more of him. But, with her uncle she knows she can’t stay or else everybody is in trouble.
When Mercy returns home her uncle finds her and takes his frustrations out on her. Until he finds out where she went her uncle is going after the MC.
There’s only one thing Mercy knows she must do next. That’s to warn Angel and the MC. World War 3 erupts and Angel is there to protect what’s his.
Angel and the rest of the MC take Mercy into their family. Angel knows everything that Mercy’s been through and he loves her anyway. When Mercy is confronted by her uncle she knows her happiness is gone forever. Mercy is put into a loose loose position. Stay and her friends and the MC will suffer, go back her friends and the MC won’t be harmed. She knows she’ll loose either way but Mercy feels she must protect her old friends, new friends, Angel even if it kills her.
Angel doesn’t quite get it at first. But, when he figures out everything Angel knows he’ll save Mercy and not her go down alone without a fight. It just isn’t that easy. Through it all they have each other.
Next up is Slade and I’m jumping up and down. I’d been hoping for him since Bad Boys of Retribution and I’m stoked he joined Angel and his dark past will finally get told.
Rie does an amazing job at writing these bad boys and their leading ladies. Not many people can write these kind of stories and yet make you not want to put your book down. I can’t wait for the Slade and Grace.
Firstly- triggers! This book isnt sweet and cute,if you have triggers,be warned! Rie does stated at start you can contact her if you need too.
This book got off to a fantastic start to a new series, if you have read the bad boy ops books then you have met them before but this can be read without reading them first! Loved the humour and interaction with the guys. Not usual mc book as in clubhouse, these guys run and live in the bar,Angel meets Mercy one night and she disappears into the night only to come back to warn him her family are after him & his mc. Cant wait for book 2!
Angel and Mercy, what a pair! Especially being that Angel is the Blood Legion MC president and Mercy is a part of a freaking rival cult, not that it is by choice.
These two meet in an extremely brief encounter that rock both to their core and know without a doubt that the other person is someone special.
I don't want to give too much away about the plot, but know that this book has pretty much everything- alpha guys, sassy women, horrible situations, redeeming situations, caring people, and some super sexy moments. I am a fan and already read for the next book!
PS: I received this book as an ARC but am voluntarily reviewing it.
Angel is the Blood Legion MC President. Taking care of his business and brothers is what he is all about! That is until he sees Mercy. Can he convince her that he wants more than one night? Even more, can he protect her from her family?
WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! I am speechless! Angel and Mercy's story is dark and dangerous yet so sexy and sweet! I was hooked! The intensity and suspense is so high that you will be on the edge of your seat, needing to know what happens next! I loved every second! Fantastic MC read that will leave you breathless!
Cry Mercy will get your heart pumping... perfect start to a new series! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Angel & Mercy are our first lovers in this new MC series from Rie Warren. The Blood Legion MC are going to grip your heart and go all in! These men are rowdy and lethal. Give me more!
What a Great start to an MC series. The author has given us a very well written, action packed, gritty story surrounding the cajun brotherhood who make up the Blood Legion MC from New Orleans. The characters are so well written that you can’t help but feel their emotions during the best of times and the absolute worst. These men have been through hell and back and have seen the worst of it or so they think.
Mercy was raised in the Tenn Hills by her grandma. But when her grandma dies she is sent to live with her relatives where she is used and abused by her family. Mercy longs for just a little reprieve from their so called life. So she sneaks out and finds solace at a bar in New Orleans. Looking like a ragamuffin, she nurses the one beer she could afford, just enjoying the sounds and people living a normal life. Angel, the Prez of the Blood Legion MC, is enjoying a night in the club’s bar when he spots the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. He knows by looking at the state of her clothes and her mannerisms that she that’s she’s in trouble. They talk, the sparks fly, yet he knows nothing about her. She suddenly runs out of the bar saying she has to get back. To where, Angel has no clue. All he knows is her name is Mercy and their one kiss has rocked both their worlds.
From here the story really takes off. His need to find her and right her wrongs, her need to be near him yet stay away for his safety. This star crossed lovers story is a wild ride that you definitely don’t want to miss out on. But please note, this book is not for the faint of heart and may have triggers for some, but it’s superbly written so hopefully that shouldn’t be a problem. Kudos to the author for a job well done, and this reader is looking forward to book 2 of the Blood Legion MC Series. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 stars for an awesome read.
Rie Warren did a great job kickstarting a new MC series. This is book one in the Blood Legion MC. I love reading MC books. I love the start of a new series and forming a bond with new characters. This brings us previous characters as well. This book is dark, gritty graphic, and suspenseful. So worth the read.
Mercy is living her life the best she can and it isn't good. She is twenty-three and seen so much hate. She is strong and clearly the victim but takes it in stride like everyday life. She cares more about the people around her than herself. At the same time, she is vulnerable and doesn't think she is worth love. She only had one person that loved her and she could count on after her parents died and that was her Memaw. She doesn't have much but what she has she is grateful for. She slips away from her home if you can call it that and goes to the bar for a drink.
Angel is the president of the Blood Legion. A big, giant, possessive, alpha male. He is also a hardened man love woman a lot but only will give them one night. He never does repeat. His club is important but when he meets Mercy and sees her from across the room at the bar and all bets are off.
Just the right amount of drama and angst to keep you glued and wanting to see what happens next. I love this MC and I want to read other books right when they are ready. I loved the brothers. I totally fell in love with Angel’s mamere. She is a strong-willed woman that doesn't take crap from anyone. There are so many strong women in this book. I also loved the club girl Demi. She was great and I think Mercy will have a good friend in her.
The sparks fly immediately and I liked how Angel made Mercy feel special and loved no matter what she wore or looked like. The banter with all of them was great. Can’t wait for more. I would love to read Slade and then Saint.
2.5 Stars (rounded up to 3) I honestly struggled with this one and I usually really enjoy this authors work but this one just didn't work for me. I mean it had all the usual MC requirements, Alpha H, MC brothers, angst, drama and violence etc and it was appreciated that the author did put a trigger warning and a place to contact her regarding that, can't really ask more then that. The biggest thing for me was the over use of slang, now being an Australian we certainly are known for our over use of slang lol, but I just felt every second paragraph I had to use my kindle dictionary (and even on occasions that couldn't help me) to find out what the hell she meant. It really disrupted my reading experience so I found this one not a nice easy read. Also some of the descriptive words used for the H's penis i.e meat were just so cheesy and over used that I think I rolled my eyes quite a bit during the intimate scenes. It also felt a little rushed, with everything happening over a short period of time and I feel this one definitely falls into the insta-love category. I did like that Angel had "mostly" gotten the MC on the straight and narrow but weren't afraid to cross the line in the protection of the MC members and others. I did think it was cute how much the MC men all blushed lol. I did like that Mercy tried to protect those in the MC and the girls left behind at the horrible place she had fled from. I guess that can explain why with all the awesome knife skills she has and strength that she didn't use those talents more on her family/tormentors. There were some interesting secondary characters but the way this one was written and how hard I personally found it to read means that while the next book is on my TBR list, it's not one I'll be rushing off grab unfortunately.
Angel was reveling in the fact he'd gotten the Blood Legion MC mostly clean. They ran legitimate businesses. He was patching in honorable men who only added value to the club. They all had their pasts, and none looked too honorable, but they were all trustworthy men to him. Then he saw her. His fantôme. His gamine. His Mercy.
Mercy came from a family that only wanted to use her. To them women weren't worth anything. They drugged her up and sold her out like she was just one of the other girls. Family meant nothing. She felt as if she was nothing...until she met him. Her Angel.
"I tensed across every single muscle in my body. I stayed as goddamn still as possible. Don't scare her off. Don't ask her to do anything. Try not to come the second she makes contact with my dick."
She'd do anything to protect him. And she did. She gave up everything to keep him, his MC, and the girls her family held safe. Until Angel realizes what she did and no one can run from an Angel when he reigns down his might.
The Blood Legion MC may have to take a less legal road to get her back, but it's nothing they haven't all done a time or two before, and somethings call for extreme measures.
Cry Mercy is a heartwarming, action packed story about love and what it's worth to some people. It has many pages of unpleasantness that will grasp your heart, but then it also has pages filled with tenderness, and oh yeah can't forget those pages so hot they'll burn your fingers. Angel and Mercy create a heaven of their own.
Have you ever heard of Romeo and Juliet? Yeah, well that's a pretty story compared to Mercy's reality. Her "family" has only one use for women whether you are family or not. If she tries to fight back ... she can't run for good or the other women will suffer. But one night, just one night away. She escaped knowing I'd come back hopefully before my uncle realized I was gone.
Angel was tired. They'd lost good brothers and he still had to keep it together. He didn't know how until she walked in. She wasn't wearing skimpy or sharp clothes. No FM heels. But she got his attention and every man in there. He was the first to reach her. A few drinks and who knew.
Angel and Mercy had a great time. She was different. He didn't want her to leave. He wanted more. No way was he leaving her there.
Can Angel and the MC rescue Mercy? What about the devils that have her? The enemy of not only the club but everyone who didn't match their beliefs.
These two are meant to be together and even though it seems impossible you are gonna cheer them on. Two people who deserve happiness. The MC brothers are a riot but dangerous. The reader even gets reminded of Angel's big (and I mean big) brothers from an earlier series. The steam is over the top.
You won't want to stop reading until the end and then you'll want more.
When Angel sees Mercy (yes those really are their names) in his club's bar one night, he is instantly drawn to her. After a very brief conversation, she ghosts him for days (or so he thinks) until she suddenly reappears, battered and bruised and warning him of an imminent attack on his club. Mercy comes from a hillbilly white supremacist family, but after suffering at their hands for years, she can't just stand by when she overhears them readying up to attack the Blood Legion MC, the one group of people who have treated her with kindness and where Angel; the beautiful man she met, rules as President. Can the pair get a HEA, or will her family take the MC out before they even get chance to try?
I've never read Rie Warren before but the blurb for this stood out to me and I'm so glad it did. I really enjoyed this and as it is apparently a spin off from another series, I will definitely be checking that series out a soon as I get chance. There was drama, action, violence, and some pretty hot bedroom action going on and I can't wait to see what else is going to happen in this series. I'm hoping Slade will be next but I'll be happy whoever it is. I give Cry Mercy 5 stars.
OH MY HELL! Cry Mercy was an amazingly emotional read! And that's not to say that there weren't a bunch of alpha MC hottie bad a**es because there were, but Mercy, oh my Mercy, what a life she was cursed with. And still to have such a big heart that she had. She was lucky to stumble onto the bar that the Blood Legion MC owned, and found herself Angel, who never wanted a woman, but couldn't help falling for her. And oh the journey they went on, it wasn't easy or pretty, especially with her evil family waiting in the wings to take his MC out, and trying to get her back. Yep, the twists were around every corner, pressing that button for f-bombs to drop promptly. And the angst, oh the angst, it tried to do me in, as tears swam in my eyes threatening to fall, because Mercy was treated like crap by her scum sucking pigs for family (and that's the nicest way I can put it for Amazon). Despite all the seriousness I've already listed, there was humor with the secondaries, and the sexy times. Yep they tried to light the sheets on fire between Angel & Mercy. Rie Warren outdid herself this time, and that's saying a lot, so one click this baby as you won't be disappointed in this new series! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Bon Dieu!!! This was one great story with such wonderful and colorful characters. I absolutely loved reading Angel and Mercy's story, no matter how rough it got and how much I wanted to light a fire under his butt to get him to go after her! My only little tiny problem with this book was some of the cajun french words did not make any sense to me...I'd never heard a few of these words ever spoken. But, let's get to the story of poor little Mercy and those lower than life, should all be gator food family of hers and how that poor girl ever lived though the things that those trash did to her. And Angel, her angel in leather who has never had time for a woman, other than for one thing. That is until he lays eyes on the petite blonde who is in the corner of his bar, trying to not attract attention! Nice try, but she definitely catches his attention, and that is all she wrote folks because he is smittened (even if he doesn't acknowledge it himself) .
I absolutely loved this book and I can hardly wait to read the next story! This should be good cher!!!
3-star book. The first chapter bombarded me with people, names, ranks etc. It was very confusing. It would have been easier to learn all the people a little at a time not all at once. The story is really good and interesting. The sex scenes were very long and it was hard to keep my attention and I found myself skipping over some of them. So, the beginning of the sex scene was good but as it drug on, it wasn’t so hot anymore. This wasn’t a typical MC Romance. The MC was there but the story wasn’t about the MC, it was mostly Angel & Mercy with some MC action in the background. There was some good MC action a few times though and I did enjoy that. I did enjoy the book but it wasn’t one that I couldn’t put down, it took me a few days to finish it. I think it is a solid 3 star book and I think the more writing Ms. Warren does, the better her books will be. I’ll probably come back at a later time to finish the series.
