The cure was only the beginning. The Inversion has been reversed, but the healing has just begun. What Elixr brought back isn't just restoring the world. It's remaking it in powerful new ways. But some don't want to see the world remade. They don't want to live in the shadow of the old world. They want to return to the old ways. Now, it seems, the unspeakable secrets of the most revered heroes might just empower them to do it. Only the Healers – Noah, Will, and Tai – have a hope of stopping them. But even they are beholden to the sins of the past. Fans of fun, action-packed sci-fi will have a blast with Redeemr, the second book in The Lost Starship series! Grab your copy NOW!
“The hubris of man.” I just had to read this one, right after I finished book 1, till the wee hours! It’s wonderful to see the world and its people “cured”, but the nefarious evilness of the once lord of the City of Light has no bounds and is even worse! He’s the perfect villain! Just when I thought it had ended well, there seem to arise more secrets and machinations behind the old advanced tech. It’s an enthralling and deliciously sinister story! Now, another threat has loomed on the horizon. I’m loving this series, it’s kind of SciFi/ Fantasy, and makes me feel so enthused! Can’t wait to read the sequel!
I bailed at 25% in. I found myself finding excuses for story points, including security lapses so large that a truck would fit, decisions for a planet being made by what seems kinda 2 thirteen year olds.
I really liked the first book. The first book has the same problems but I thought somehow that the second book would be better. The story zips along, the major characters are all juvenile acting and yet it can be fun if you don't think about the illogic that fills the background (which stayed skimpy, shame that) or plot developments that shouldn't be..
The tech description sort of works for the one book but not a series. The main character brothers being 12 or 13 works for the first book sort of but it was difficult to suspend that much disbelief a second time. The planetary ecology establishing itself in six months, without introducing magic into the mix was a bit much. The killer lesser beast who was befriended by a major character, was too Androcles and the Lion (I think that's the story title). Basically I like the writer but this read more juvenile than adult.
This followup to Elixr is a romp through good vs bad science with lots of thoughtful ideas about the value of an individual vs the value of a way of life. Imaginative plot and good characters bring this story to a cliffhanger ending. It's frustrating with no idea of where the storyline goes next.
Noah and Will were raised to complete one mission…deliver the cure. They didn’t even know what it meant but as they stumbled their way through surviving they managed to do what they set out to do but it could cost them their lives. Tons of action, twists and turns I read it as part of a boxed set of three books. Fabulous read!
This is very exciting space opera, worth plot twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I will definitely be reading more of this series, escaping into Joshua's world some more. Join me, you won't regret it.
Okay so this is a good book with lots of action but falls short in story substance. I like the characters and the compassion they show for each other. I just don't know if I want to go farther in the series because I'm just not feeling it.
