Shifter and Vampire True Mates story.

Alek’s older brother, Justice—the Alpha Zenith—was the first shifter to mate with a vampire in many generations, and it was believed the rare, fated pairing would stop at him. But, it hadn’t. Aleksei ‘Alek’ Volkov was second beta, next in succession to the most powerful shifter in the world. He was proud of his title and he took his

It has been some time since I have read the first book in this series"Prophesy"which I enjoyed a lot. Thankfully as soon as I started reading this one, everything about the first book came back to me. I love when that happens. I also remembered how bad I wanted to read Alek and Belleron's story...and let me tell you, I was not disappointed !!

This book starts exactly where the last when left us, and just so you can NOT be read as a stand-alone. You won't understand what the hell is

ALL the stars!
At the end of Book #1, which brought me to my knees by its overwhelming beauty, we are witness of the grand arrival of The Lord High - Belleron ‘Bell’ Liatos, and how Aleksei ‘Alek’ Volkov’s claimed him as his mate, or in vampire terms ‘his beloved’ Bell surrendered to Alek.

I couldn’t wait to start with #2 Shifters, vampires, and true mates are my favorites!

Bell is the right hand of the Vampire King Wick whose true mate is Alpha Zenith Justice.

Alek, Justice’s brother, has a

I guess it's DNF day for me today. :(

Absolutely nothing is happening. The first 35 pages are only about Bell and Alek waking up and taking a walk outside.

Everything moves at glacial pace. I don't need to read over and over again how Alek is struggling with his inner wolves and how Bell wasn't sure he could submit to Alek. Aright alright, I get it already.

I wasn't too sure I would like this book when I read the blurb so I guess it's mostly my own fault.
This one picks up where Prophesy left off with Alek and Bell coming to terms with Wolf's interference and biting Bell upon first meeting. As the story goes along, we learn about Alek and what has kept him slightly removed from his family and definitely from the pack.

I was so excited when I saw this one was coming out soon. I was hooked from page one. Things are coming together for the Prophesy but in unusual terms. I don't really want to spoil anything but due to the way "things" were with Alek,

4.5 stars - forgot how much I enjoyed this series...the focus on Bell & Alex / Wolf / Wrath. A unique pairing of shifters where all three elements of Alex came out to love and protect Bell. I’m really looking forward to this series unfolding.
This one didn't woo me. Maybe because I was expecting a differet kind of story development, development being the keyword. It could have been much better. I guess the author wanted badly to give free rein to a very specific kind of own fantasies in this one (rolls eyes). Not too heavy on emotion, some parts were intresting but unfortunately underdeveloped.

A.E. Via is a phenomenal Author. The Prophesy II: The Bringer of Wrath was about a fated shifter and vampire Alek and Bell. Alek struggles with some parts of himself and Bell learns to connect with ALL parts of Alek. Alek and Bell will take you on a delicious journey while Alek needs to connect with his other two halves of himself while hoping not to scare off his mate. Bell learns to be patience with his mate, but Alek wolf needs more. Prophesy II was another great read. I was intrigued in this ...more

4.5 stars - This picks up right at the end of the previous book, which you really need to read to understand the world Ms. Via has created. It is a world where prophesies are starting to play out where vampires are finding true mates with the alpha Volkov wolves. This is true once again with Alek and vampire Bell. There is a lot more to their story, however.

Suffice to say, Alek and his wolf have quite a history and it hasn’t all been good. They come a long way in this story uniting and learning

This book was insanely intense at the beginning. Things were so hot and I was pretty sure that if the book continued that way I would be delirious by the end of it but somehow the pace lets up after the first 20%, it mellows down and it never captures the intensity of the first few chapters again. This book essentially has a pacing problem. Things instead of building up to the climax, splutter out.

The book also has a very weak plot that seems to fade in and out of our main

So glad that I had the pleasure of reading the second installment of Prophesy: The Bringer of Wrath.

I loved the story of these two characters and enjoyed revisiting th the old ones. Alek and Bell where so well match. Three souls in one body that was pull apart by tragedy and slow out back together by their fated mate (beloved).

The action is great, the sex is on fire and the story keep me reading until my eyes started to burn. So ready for Book Three.

Though an overall good story, I found Bell almost betraying his ‘love’ of Alek for his preferring his overwhelming sexual passion for Wrath. It would’ve been nice for the three of them to reunite to be able to be with Alek has one being. Only finish reading the book in hopes that that would be how the story ended.

Get to this goodness. Get to it NOW!!

Apologies while the reader in me screams “ I want MORE! I need MORE!! Please let it not end.”

That was amazing Author AE Via. So very perfect.
For all this while, I regarded Part #I of the series: Justice and Wick’s story, as the gold standard for all the fated mates, shifter stories I read. Part #2 topped my expectations

The Bringer of Wrath is the second book in The Alpha and the King series, and it absolutely needs to be read in order! If you don't, you won't get the full benefit from this book, including the nuances between the characters.

This book continues where book one, Prophesy, finishes. Bell is an alpha vampire, Lord High to the King, and is in no way subservient. Alek is an alpha too, and the Alpha Zenith's Second. Alek and Bell have some teething troubles as they try to find their balance. Alek also

I think I liked this book for the most part. I have no complaints or nitpicks about. But I didn't LOVE it. It was nice. I liked the further world building. There's a big revenge plot that's interesting. The romance was fun. It's basically a Quad, but with two bodies. I liked that they all had distinct characteristics. I admit I got a little frustrated, particularly at the beginning. I thought the "angst" were just

This was a bit more exciting and interesting than the first book. There was a bit of action and then a little twist learning about the demigod Wrath. I liked the main characters and I really like Farica and Mac. Looking forward to the next installment to see what is the other portion of the prophesy.

OMG WHAT A GREAT BOOK!!! You've done it again. This is becoming an amazing series and we're only on book 2. I wasn't sure I was going to like the story line, but it didn't take me long to be totally hooked. You are an amazing author and your books are soooooo good that I can't out them down. This new series, awesome characters, story lines are great and your take on paranormal is off the charts different. Please don't wait so long for book 3. Thank you for all you books. I'm a

O! M! G! If you are even hesitating to get this book slap yourself as hard as you can to knock the stupid out of yourself. When I first read Blue Moon - Too Good To Be True all those years ago I never would have guessed that Ms. Via would have something like this in her (I probably should have). I was excited when the first Prophecy was released because I love her work and hello - shifters & vampires - and don't get me wrong I loved it but this one? Ms. Via has outdone herself. I don't know how to truly convey how amazing this story was but I will do my best. My love for this talented author began when I read the Blue Moon Trilogy years ago and in all that time I have never come close to being unsatisfied with what she creates. This Prophesy series is perfection on a whole other level. We are first introduced to this world in book one where Justice Volkov, the alpha of all werewolves, meets Chadwick Bentley, king of all vampires, and realizes they are fated mates which ...more

Well... I might actually be at a loss for words here. Several days ago, in preparation for reviewing this story, I read book one and liked it quite a lot. This one, however, you can feel how much more time and effort was used to create a magnificent addition to the series. There is little gap between where book one ends and this story begins. This is not a standalone novel. Thankfully, I

Alek is a wolf shifter who discovers his mate is a powerful vampire. Alek has spent most of his life hiding his truth, that not only does he have a powerful wolf inside his he also has a powerful beast. Powerful enough that him and his wolf can’t control him and this beasts name is Wrath.

Alek is afraid that if his mate discovers who is inside him, Bell, won’t want him. It takes a near death for the wolf and vampire to settle their issues and be the mates they were meant to be.

WOW!!!! There is so much more that we learned about this world in this book that I just cannot begin to put everything into words. Alek has become my favorite by far in this series and I just want to hug him until everything is better. You will understand better once you read this book. As for, Bell...well, he is the best partner that Alek could have dreamed of and I absolutely adore the way the two of them form their bonds together.

I cannot wait for the next one!

Took me quite some time to catch up with this one. It had been a tad too long since I read the first in the series and I think I would have benefited from a re-read. That being said if you did not read the first in this series go back and do so. This book does not stand alone .

I felt he pace of this book dragged for most of it. I found myself skimming waiting for something to happen. Even the romance between Belleron and Alek felt tepid at best for most of the book. For a paranormal romance I

I received a free copy to read and review for Wicked Reads

I enjoyed this book. After I had allowed my head to wrap around all the crap going on inside Alek. This wasn't your typical paranormal book and it took me awhile to get into it but once I did I couldn't put it down. I love all of Aleks siblings and we got to see Justice and Wick from book one. Bell was able to tell the difference between each entity in Alek and he was able to bond and love them all. I loved Wrath the most....I felt him. I

This book gripped my heart and mind and doesn't let go even now that I finished it. Bell and Alek's feelings for each other are so intense, and my heart broke because of their struggles to make their clashing personalities work together, not to mention Alek's inner fight to find an equilibrium between his beasts.
I don't have words to describe my level of investment in this story. It's amazing, entrancing, touching, with a strong, engrossing plot. I couldn't put it down and I think five stars
