When Kentucky State Police Trooper Jack Fletcher comes upon an accident scene, he never imagines it will be the catalyst for meeting the woman to bring him back to the land of the living. Aleta is the survivor of that horrific crash, and she made an impact on Jack, and vice versa. So when they later reconnect, fate must have been playing her hand.

I have mixed feelings about Justice for Aleta, hence the 3 stars. On one hand, the case is interesting and really carried the story. On the other,

Justice for Aleta comes out the gate hard when Kentucky State Police Trooper Jack Fletcher comes upon a two-car crash, finding 2 dead men, a dead infant, and a very seriously injured woman on the side of the Bluegrass Parkway. However, he's sure that he saw 3 cars involved when he first saw it, and this accident doesn't leave him, even after he visits the injured woman, Aleta, in the hospital. Fast forward some months later, they come face to face again, and they start a relationship, not to ...more

This is book two in the series. However, they can be read as standalone books. I havent read the first one and wasnt lost at all. I have read several of Deanndras books and love them all. The story is built around an actual accident that happened in 1983 in Kentucky. Aleta loses her family in a car accident. State Trooper Jack Fletcher sees the accident as he is driving the opposite direction. He notices three cars involved. By the time he is about to turn around and come back to accident there ...more

There he finds an injured woman, a man dead in a car, and another man and a baby down a ravine. Both are dead. But hes perplexed because he thought hed seen another car.
The tragic accident doesnt leave him, even after he visited Aleta, the injured woman, in the hospital. Months later they meet again and from then on, not only does a relationship begin, but

Justice for Aleta is book 2 in the Bluegrass Bravery series but each can be read as a stand alone.
This book starts off with a bang, immediate disaster and the story is off an running.
Aleta lost her husband and son in a horrific accident, one that she feels guilt for even though there was nothing she could do.
Trooper Jack Fletcher was the first on scene and when she woke in the hospital she recognizes him as "her angel", the man on scene who helped her.
Their lives are forever tied together

Great second story in the series with an element based on a real tragedy. And what a tragedy it is for Aleta, but shes a survivor and not who you would think she would be based on her background. I love her spunk and readiness for a little adventure and passion. And she finds both in her angel, Jack, the trooper whos on the job to find the culprits that changed her life. Lots of sizzle between these two. Like the first story this is a insta in the romance department and I am all for the lust ...more

Based on a horrific incident in 1983 this read starts off strong and has you riveted to the story that just doesn't hold strong. While the beginning is tragic and holds your attention it does go up a notch when 4 months after the accident more is revealed and the action takes off. There's a few things that happen to bring about the romance but it just feels forced. Aleta reveals some secrets about her marriage that releases her to love again and experience life her way but it just doesn't feel ...more

Being this author had been on my radar I remember reading one other by her, so into this one she lured me in. It is also placed in a state I love dearly so it really with a storyline I love to read was one I happily opened. It grips you by the neck right away with the events that occur involving with Jack and Aleta pulling our strings. The mystery that unfolds is one that has us right away grabbing for clues with also a chemistry building. Sometimes though I think they had doppelgangers in this ...more

Justice for Aleta is full of intrigue and suspense and had me on the edge of my seat till the very end. I love how Deanndra Hall sucks you into the story like you are living it with the characters.
The love story that happens within this intense story is swift and undeniable.
I love reading Deanndra Hall immensely because she tackles topics with delicate but powerful intent that leaves you in such a happy place.

GREAT ADVENTURE AND NEW ROMANCE

A suspenseful and intense thriller about a Kentucky State Police Trooper on patrol during a very foggy vision impaired day. He sees two vehicles off the road that appears to have been in an accident. As he turns around to investigate the scene and gets closer, is on alert for a third vehicle that he is sure was there as well. The mysteries become more suspenseful and intense as the story unfolds.

This book had me hooked from page one and often had me in tears. Losing your family in a blink of an eye and your world is shattered in pieces. Aleta is one strong brave woman after losing her family. While Jack maybe her guardian angel he also is her protecter. He wants justice for Aleta.

This book is a sweet romance full of action and heartbreak.
If you haven't read any book by Deanndra Hall you are missing out.

Good read

When Jack met Aleta she was having the worst day of her life. During the automobile accident she had multiple injuries. She also lost her husband and child. But to her she had met her Angel, who had shown just in time. Wonderful read. I really enjoyed this book.
