Sexual encounters in church is where I draw the line. Nope.... I understand the Pippa and Bernard weren't the most religious of people but c'mon... That was a little bit too much.
Anyway the rest of the story was sweet and tender. I felt so sorry for our heroine and her caged life. Could you imagine having all the money but no happiness in life? No freedom of choosing your own path? Being forced to marry without love and then blamed because husband couldn't keep it in his pants? She wasn't living until she met Bernard and he? He was sweet to give her all the needed support.
Penny has a magic touch if it comes to taboo, secret romance and other sexy stories. She puts you in the world that even the cringiest situation could be hot as(well I don't want to say hell) fire 😉. I'm only in the beginning of my journey with her but I know she's the writer I will go to if I need a hot foreplay, or a little cheer up after a hard day.
PS. Don't know where to write to fix a mistake but blurb starts with saying Pippa caught her hurband cheating which is not true. He tells her of all his affairs himself.

It went so fast and was so dirty, that I enjoyed it very much! The first sex scene was so dirty I was scared they would caught fire. It was good to see Pippa get the good she deserves.
What bothered me was her father how can you handle your daughter like that.. I don't get it, but yep such people are around. What I wanted in the epilogue was a bit more about the connection between them and Pippa's parents.

Wow, from the first chapter.
Excellent romance from Penny Wylder. From the first chapter, I thought that some readers might be shocked by reading it, but in fact, after, the first chapters, I found it was the best thing that the heroine could do !
These characters are excellent, the story is very well written, with hot sex scenes in places that we will never see the same way.
On the other hand, it is a pity that the passage between the last chapter and the epilogue, is so fast because I would have liked to know the consequences of the choices of Pippa on her family, considering the end of the last chapter.
Pippa seems to have accumulated difficulties without having ever taken possession of her life, while being locked in a cliché: she was married out of interest by her parents as soon as she left high school to be a housewife; she had a child and her husband abandoned her to go with one of his mistresses. She found herself penniless and was back with her parents who are ashamed that she does not put them forward with their wealth, their social rank. They continue to control her and as long as she can not take care of herself, she is forced to stay with them. That's why she tries for the first time, to take control of her life.
During an errand for her father, she is saved from an accident in a store, by Bernard who finds her the next day, during the Easter Mass. Their attraction which had begun the day before explodes then. But Pippa remains trapped in her social environment and Bernard will do anything to convince her to give him a chance.

Basket Stuffer by Penny Wylder is about 2 single parents who aren't looking for a relationship yet they find each other suddenly without warning. They have this instant connection, chemistry which is sizzling hot and steamy. It's full of insta- everything that is yummy goodness!!! Pippa & Bernard' story is passionate, hot, sweet and full of feels. It's a novella style read yet packed full of story. You get the feels, angst, twists and love that you come to expect from Ms. Wylder.

Pippa and Bernard are two single parents who aren't looking for love but fate brings them together. Talk about explosive chemistry and insta everything. The sexual tension in this book is off the charts. The characters are so perfect for each other and their back and forth banter was entertaining. Plenty of drama and family dynamics. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review. A cute romantic read.

Pippa is a single mom who is stuck in a world she feels she doesn't fit in. Put these two together and sparks fly! Was the way they met fate, or just two people passing by? I just adored the way this story was written, it was as sweet as the chocolate in the Easter eggs in a basket!

This is Basket Stuffer: An Easter Romance novella written by Penny Wylder. I likes this book even though it was totally frustrating at times. Would you want to be a divorced woman with a child who is completely under her parents thumb? Pippa doesn’t have the money she needs to support herself and Ian. Can she break out of the mold? Will she have to do as she is told? Or will she find what she has always been searching for??

Although surrounded in a life of wealth and luxury, happiness has always been just beyond Pippa’s reach. A chance Meeting changes her course in life and gives her the boost and security she needs to break free and stand on her own. A different type of strong female, the bigger lesson at hand is that your self worth means more than your bottom line. Great and risqué read.

Not her best
I agree with a previous review that it is mostly a rich bashing book. With a pathetic heroine who barely tries to take care of herself /be independent.
It stayed out steamy with promise. Then getting to know Pippa and her dependence on others to control her life just brought it down. Her inability to feed, house, or protect herself really didn't win me over.
Luckily it was short, she hooked up with a guy and he took her in, HEA.

Whirlwind romance!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. Penny Wylder has outdone herself with this one! She had me cracking up from the very first page! Pippa and Bernard's relationship comes out of nowhere and quickly escalates. I loved this book and couldn't put it down till I finished

Great story
This story starts off with a bang and in a church! Pippa and Bernard are instantly attracted to each other and waste no time being together. Both being single parents, they know what it's like to be hurt by someone and wanting to start fresh. These two were very steamy!

Since yesterday was Easter, I was hoping to find a book centered around the holiday. This book came up in a FB group and I grabbed it.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this, but was pleasantly surprised! It was a quick and fun novella! It had insta-lust/love, plenty of humor with a little bit of silliness, and definitely lots of steamy scenes.
I’m glad I took a chance on it!

I love Penny's insta steamy romances. Nothing beats an easy to read, wicked hot love story novella. If you are looking for a sure thing - this book is for you! Bernard and Pippa are fantastic. The chemistry and build up between these great characters may be short on the page but perfectly written in this dual point of view story. Their internal dialogue was so on point that the pace of this story was right on track. So when these two meet again at the Easter festivities - nothing holds a candle to their confessional booth rendezvous! Hottest & naughtiest scene ever written! And their budding feelings and relationship that ensues is heart warming and delicious. Bernard is a sexy beast of a man and that cover image is everything!
