I really loved this book. I felt so bad for Ben and loved him so much. Same with Ali, I think he was perfect for Ben. I really hope to see another book about Alex and Kristen!😉😁 My only observation was that the guys did not take much time for prep for a virgin and a man who hadn't bottomed in years.

*Update* Learning Curve is live!

Bloggers, Readers, Bookstagrammers!

The sign up for Learning Curve is here! I would appreciate any and all help to spread the word about my upcoming release. Learning Curve is an MM student/teacher romance. Not into MM? That’s okay! Maybe you know someone who is. Feel free to share! blog~
Absolutely amazing! One of the best books of my reading year thus far. This book has all the feels and some of those emotions were killing me. This was my first book by this author and I am excited to read more.

Being a blogger, I see many author's names. I read many blurbs, and add many books to my TBR. This was partially what happened with this book. Except, the blurb hit me hard! There was something about it that said, "Hey, you can't just add this book to be lost among the hundreds on your T

Calculus professor, Alister, was drawn to student, Ben, from day one when Ben came to his office in a panic about failing even before the semester started. Ali sensed how broken and afraid Ben was and was determined to be the one to keep him safe and make him feel loved.
Ben was a victim of childhood neglect and abuse by the hands of his foster father and lives, even now as a 23-year-old college student, looking over his shoulder, hoping not to be found be the s
Sissy's Romance Book Review
Learning Curve by Andi Jaxon is the story of Benjamin 'Ben' Wallace and Alister 'Ali' Bennet.
Alister is a Calculus professor who never been drawn to a student the way he is to Ben. Alister feels that very caring toward Ben. Ben grew up in a foster home where he was abused at the hands of the 'father' and never knew if he would live to be free of him. Although he still looks over his shoulder he is now 23 and a college student. But you never get over your past but there is something about the Pr
omg Alister and Ben are so sweet together!!!
I love how Alister was protective of Ben from the start... and that he didn't let Ben run from him... Ben deserved to be loved and happy for once in his life!

I enjoyed Learning Curve by Andi Jaxon. It's a student/teacher trope. Where complete opposites attract....
A hot established, college math professor, Alister Bennett and a broke, down his luck student, Ben Wallace. Within their first meeting Alister is overly taken by Ben. He sees the despair in Ben's eyes and wants to do whatever he can to help him. Although, there is a mutual attraction, Ben is a bit more apprehensive and skiddish. He escaped an abusive home and is now living on his own, just

Ben and Alister were totally amazing. I totally loved them. Even when things were hard it was amazing to see how sweet Alister was and his dedication to Ben. Ben’s past broke my heart. I hated to see him struggle but it was also amazing to see him overcome things. It was an emotional read from start to finish but was totally amazing

I do feel like the major drama of the story was abrupt. There was no real closure to it. The secondary characters were amazing and I would love to see Alex get a boo

I loved the premise of this book; we’ve got Alister Bennet, college professor, from a loving family and exactly where he wants to be in life and then we have Ben Wallace; running from an abusive foster father, a student struggling to make his grades, alone, and living in a run down part of town with barely enough money to stay warm and eat most days. What could these two possibly have in common? But the spark of lust and attraction they have when they meet for the first time is undeniable. We se ...more

Alister is a math professor. He becomes intrigued by one of his students, even though he knows it will probably lead to disaster.

Ben just want to finish his last term and get his degree. No money, living in a hovel, and starving, he knows he won’t be able to pass the calculus class and asks the professor for help. What he actually receives will change the course of his life.

I liked Ben. Against crushing odds, he was determined to graduate and make something of himself. The abuse in his past stil

Alister & Ben they are both such wonderful men that have each come from such different lives.
Alister is a professor that has grown up in a loving supportive family. Ben has survived the foster system and the abuse of a "father figure". They have now crossed paths and find themselves in a mutual attraction. They now each have a task. Alister must be patient, supportive and show Ben the way to a real relationship. Ben will have to learn to trust, feel safe and learn the ways of a real loving

A forbidden M/M romance that made my heart burst for love, for the main characters, Ben & Alister.

And my god some of the scenes made my kindle sizzle. They were scorching hot! They were expertly placed, so that they didn’t overcrowd the actual storyline.

Whilst this was a student/teacher story, I really enjoyed the fact that Ben’s past and his lack of life skills in handling compassion and care shown to him was in the foreground of the story. It was a refreshing change than the normal ‘will

Have you ever been touched by a story so deeply, the feelings it draws out of you linger for weeks, months or even years after finishing it? Learning Curve was that kind of book for me. Alister and Ben’s story was its own sort of learning curve for me. I’ve never read a m/m romance before. Ever. I think I downloaded a sample of one before, but never had the nerve to read it. I’m not against same sex love, so please do not misunderstand me. But it seemed weird to read about the laundry between tw ...more

Alister Bennet is a 36 year old math teacher at Seattle Pacific University and is classes are full of adoring females. Yet he keeps his private life under wraps due to the college and their traditional values. He has never been tempted to cross the teacher-student line before but that was before seeing him.

This book tackled a lot of intricate and delicate themes. The reader had to be ready to process not only a powerful love story, but the traumatic past and troubling actions surrounding the main characters. A first time reader of Andi Jaxon, I was blown away by her powerful imagering and well written love story.

This books takes through the journey of two men who fall in love and have to traverse not only the rocky water of a relationship, but societal issues, age differences, and some serious bag

This book has me divided. On one hand, it's a lovely story about overcoming a horrific past and finding love, acceptance, and family. On the other hand, it's too... easy I guess is the closest word I can find. This is the story of Ben, 23 year old college senior in his last semester, and Alister, 36 year old calculus professor. Ben grew up in foster care until he aged out, and the last several years lived with an abusive man who would beat, starve, and freeze him. His only support was his best f ...more

This was such a good book with some truly heartbreaking and uplifting moments to keep your emotions going from one end of the spectrum to the other.

I thought Alister was a great character and I hated that he had to hide a part of himself for his job but I understood why he did it. I liked that he had never experienced something like he had the first time he saw Ben and I really liked that he saw the pain inside of him at the same time. I loved his relationship with his family and how they accept

3.5 Teacher Student at Warp Speed

As a fan of the teacher/student genre, I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this one. Andi Jaxon's books and I haven't gotten along in the past, so I was hoping this new style from her would be a different story.

Alister is in his thirties, a professor with his act together. He's a gay man that isn't out at school, so has every girl wondering what his story is. He's plays coy until Benjamin Wallace catches his eye in class one day.

Ben has had a sucky hand dealt t

Sweet but forbidden MM romance

Andi Jaxon has written a student/teacher MM romance that kept me wanting more with every page I turned. LEARNING CURVE has two extremely lovable main characters, one who I just constantly wanted to wrap my arms around and show he was loved.

Alister Bennett is a mathematics teacher at a very Christian college. He hides his sexual preference as he knows if found out he could lose his position. Benjamin Wallace is a twenty year old student who just wants to pass his mat

This was a student/teacher forbidden romance but it was so much more than I was expecting. Most books of this variety tend to use the sexual scenes to drive the story forward. This was not the case here. This was a story based in sadness and darkness that is brought into the light.

Alister teaches maths at a Catholic college. He is very much a favourite amongst the female students but he has no interest in them whatsoever. He is gay but having to hide this side of himself in work but

LEARNING CURVE is the first book in what I hope will be a series. I really NEED to read more about Ben's best friend Kristen and Allister's brother Alex and would love to revisit Ben and Ali, but hang on - this is supposed to be a review, not a wish list of future stories.

LEARNING CURVE is classified as an M/M Teacher Student Romance and as I was reading, I was bothered by the age difference. There is something about the vulnerability of that age difference (23 to 38) that seems like a huge gap.

I absolutely loved this book! This was my first read by the author and this was her first MM romance story. As someone who reads MM romance on a regular basis, I can say she did a very good job. It had everything I love in a story; an almost instant connection, the perfect amount of angst, great heartfelt characters and a storyline that built at the right pace. Ben was someone I fell in love with quickly. I wanted to crawl inside the book and hold him until his love story unfolded. Alister Benne ...more

I love a great forbidden romance and Learning Curve is definitely now on the top of that list for me. This story was so much more than a forbidden student/teacher romance. It was emotional, it was sweet, it was steamy.

Alistar is a college professor at a university in Seattle. He is caring, he is loving, he is hot and he keeps his personal life to himself. Ben is a shell, he is broken and abused, he is working hard at trying to just finish college.

Forbidden? Teacher/student? M/M? Oh HELL YEAH! This book has all my favourite things! Add a warning to the blurb and I’m in. I got everything I could ask for too; a bit dark, a bit of tortured background, a hot teacher who can’t fight his attraction and feels a strong need to protect is the perfect recipe to a delicious story filled with love, comfort, heat and a bit of anxiety.

Alister is a knight in shining armour; he is so blooming patient, smart and kind and I could hug him to death. I loved

This is a student/teacher MM romance.

I felt so sorry for Ben while reading this, he was found on the streets as a baby and his life growing up wasn’t any better at the hands of his care giver. He was finally free of him after fleeing and trying to better himself in university. That’s where he comes across Ali, his professor.

He’s lusted after him for a while and although he’s never had a boyfriend or been with a man, he knows Ali is what he wants. Ali is really taken by hi

Learning Curve, is my first book by this author. I thought it was well written, and an adorable story, with all the feels.
But, the story got a few inconsistencies.

With four broken ribs, I don't think you can do what Ben is doing at the end in the car with Alister.

It's a fast-paced love story, with a lot of thinks happening that we don't get to read about. And I believe it would have given the story a more depth to it, if the author would have written about it.

Poor Ben! This was definitely not a very lighthearted story, but it did have some sweet and
sexy moments that I appreciated. We get the teacher/student trope that is always a bit more
interesting because of the forbidden aspect of it. Even though I liked it, the power dynamic
and difference was tough to swallow sometimes because of how insecure Ben was and how
Alister's ego was through the roof.

I felt bad for Ben because of his life growing up and while his insecurities were

Learning Curve is a fantastic romance by Andi Jaxon. I love the teacher/student dynamics, and all that this involves. The hesitation, the secrecy, etc. Knowing it's wrong, but being unable to deny themselves.

Alister and Benjamin are two men in completely opposite times in their lives. In addition to their age difference, Alister's a successful professor, while Benjamin is broke, both mentally and monetarily.

An emotional read, this story is both riveting and beautiful. It's a horrific tale of fo

From Dyslexic kid with a love of Algebra to a published author, no one is more surprised to find me here, than I am. I love to write about tortured pasts and hot sex, a happily ever after that has to be worked for. My stories tend to be a little dark but with some comic relief, typically in the form of sarcasm.
