Clever and Captivating New York Romance.

This my perfect romance novel. It had just about everything I look for in a great romance and rated a 5 in just about every one of those categories. It had plenty of steam between the two main characters, dirty talk, witty repartee, bickering between the strong female heroine and the Alpha male Hero, jealously, an intriguing plot with a mystery, awesome supporting characters and more. When upgraded to first class after an incident at the airport, Emily Foster wasn't prepared for her seating companion Jim. Sitting next to an older, rich & gorgeous man, she is totally bewildered when he takes a genuine interest in her.

Not one to be spontaneous, she finds herself having the best sex of her life during a layover after far too many complimentary champagnes and flirtation that Emily hadn’t expected to lead to anything.

The Stopover is the first book in The Miles High Club Series and my first read by T.L. Swan. Let me first say this is a really good story that I found addictive and well-written. Overall, I definitely enjoyed it more than I didn't. I liked the banter between Jameson and Emily, and I found myself laughing out loud a few times (the camping scene was hilarious). Together they have off-the-chart chemistry, they're flirtatious, and like to work each other up, but personally I had so many m

I lucked out and got an ARC on this one and I'm totally calling this one - the rest of the year be damned. I know there's still 3 months in 2019 but I'm totally putting this down as my personal favorite read of the year. Yes, I've read some other great books, but T.L. Swan gave me everything I always wanted and never knew I did in The Stopover. Maybe that's because I'm usually the Dark Reads girl and this was definitely not that but Jim, Jay, Jamison Miles - I am here to tell the world I am comp ...more

If I could describe a book to you in one gif,'re welcome. You may now skip my entire review.

But dang it, I keep telling myself that I'll stop setting high hopes for books with hot covers only to be let down. And yet I keep doing it. Again. And again. And again.

Admittedly it wasn't just the sexy cover that hooked me here, but the blurb as well. It reminded me a little of a crossover between Whitney Gracia's Turbulence and Re

It’s been awhile since I’ve read a book that was so well executed. I loved it! It grabbed ahold of me and wouldn’t let go. The angst is some of the best I’ve read and the chemistry was perfect with lots of steamy scenes. And did I mention that I loved it?
It put lots of smiles on my face and at other times I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. It had all the feels and was just the rollercoaster I was hoping for. I’m going to read every book I can get my hands on from this author. She’s

Oh the drama and the angst and the snarkiness and the sneering and the smirking and the bitchy and the a-holiness. This book had all of that and more!

While I own other books by this author, this is the first one I have read, and I enjoyed her style overall. I looked at her bio because some of the word choices she use are decidedly not American, though all of the characters in this story were American. The title is one of the examples because in America, we s

Man, am i glad to be back from my book hiatus?!!

And what a pleasant surprise i came back to❤❤!

This book was lovely; A piece of cake i loved to devour in one setting!

It was idiotic, it was funny, it was tear jerking but most importantly it was full of love. I mean literally, this book made me realize why i ever loved this genre so much in the first place. The reason i, or anyone for that matter, should never stop themselves from reading books.

This was my first read by this author and I was really pulled in by the burb but I had no idea that this book was 500+ pages long!!!!
Strangely enough that didn't seem to matter much to me once I started reading it, as this was essentially a pretty good story and I really did enjoy the writing. I was hooked almost immediately!!!

I really loved and enjoyed the chemistry and flirtatious interactions between Jameson and Emily, there were definitely many hila

I read everything this author writes.
I love her books.
This book, at the beginning I didn’t like and I almost stoped (of course has cliches a lot), but the story became so good and I enjoyed the reading.

Sadly I had to DNF this at 40%. I thought that the characters were immature and really irritating. They were either having sex or arguing, and I was so bored reading about it. I can't even believe there was another 60% left! Jameson was a total nut job in my opinion, he spied on Emily through cctv at work, I think he got her phone number illegally from the employer files, he was controlling, possessive and a bit of a dick to be honest! When will books stop glamourising this kind of behaviour and ...more
I loved this story from beginning through the very end!!! Oh how I wish I had the time to wax rapturously about the amazing skill of this author. I was utterly captivated!!! This is a perfect example of the art that is the romance novel.

The Stopover is book 1 in The Miles High Club. Jim and Emily meet on a flight after Emily is upgraded to First Class and a problem at the airport where they need to land leads to a stopover. Their interaction through out the flight range from funny to smoking hot. The chemistry between the two was awesome and it leads to an amazing night. Fast forward one year and Emily finally lands the job of her dreams in NYC for Miles Media and guess who is the CEO. Honestly for the majority of the book I fe ...more

This book is a fucking mess. The love story is terrible, they both are crazy and have the worst mood swings in the history of mood swings but also the story as a whole did not make sense. Like at times it felt like I was missing huge chunks of it, am I the only one who felt this way? It was absolutely confusing and did not make sense and made me so angry because I felt like I had somehow skipped entire chapters when I know for a fact I didn’t. Don’t bother. This book is a mess.

TL Swan cemented herself as one of my favorite authors when I first read the Stanton Series and since then every book she has written has made me love her even more. The growth in the writing and plots just gets better and better. When I read Mr. Masters, I got a real jolt of the comedic relief that she could provide in a book. I mean Joshua Stanton and Tash and Cam were funny but you didn't get the comedy that you got in Mr. Masters and again in this The
What a delightfully engaging, deliciously sexy, heartbreakingly painful, and wonderfully fun read! Whew! If that isn’t enough to let you know I loved this book, I just don’t have the words.

’I’ve died and gone to layover bad-girl heaven.’

This was first and foremost a fun read as Emily and Jameson bounce back and forth between intense sexual chemistry and what some might consider all-out war. Their banter was sharp and quick making me smile and laugh. And when they were in the throes of battle it was border lwords.

Oh my god, she’s done it again! What an energetic, meaty, steamy, funny read! As always it was a roller coaster ride of emotions. I was so very excited to read this one! I couldn’t read the pages fast enough. I enjoyed the breakdown of Emily and Jameson’s relationship. Their ups and downs where magnetic and quite steamy! The twist and turns made the plot more interesting. I laughed, I cried and laughed some more.

This is the first book in what looks to be another great series by Swan, which is good news for me as I love this author.

This book however, I have mixed feelings about. This is Emily’s and Jim’s story and probably the first one I didn’t love , but thats not to say it wasn't enjoyable.

The pair meet when Emily’s flight is upgraded. She meets Jim and they have an undeniable connection with each other. An unexpected layover leads to the pair spending the night togelove

A quite enjoyable romance read which yet was unjustifiably long and there was a lot of push and pull in Emily and Jameson’s relationship.
This book. This. Book. This book officially marks the completion of my reading challenge and to be honest I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I read this in every moment I possibly could which is extremely rare for me - normally I only read when I can sit down and devote a few hours to a book. I woke up this morning and immediately started reading. I ate breakfast and read. I brushed my teeth and read. I couldn’t put it down, and I definitely didn’t want to.

A very engaging love story, I got addicted to it from the first lines and there was no way of putting my kindle down until I got to the end of the book. It's a complete page-turner!

There is absolutely nothing this author will write that I won't read, she amazes me every single time! I love that her books are big and beefy and not just a couple of hundred pages, her stories are such that you get so engrossed that you simply can't put them down. The Stopover was no exception, I loved Jameson and Emily's story so hard, it was steaming hot from the get go. The chemistry was sizzling, the attraction off the charts! “Really?” he whispers as the flight attendant walks past us. “Excuse me, can we have two more champagnes, please?” he asks her. “Of course, sir.” His eyes come back to meet mine. “Well, do tell. What was your first impression of me?” I pretend to look around for Jessica the flight attendant. “You may need something stronger to drink to hear this, Jim. You’re not going to like it.” He laughs out loud, and I find myself smiling broadly as I watch him. “What’s funny?” I ask. “You are.” “Why am I funny?” I frown. “This sense of righteousness that you have.” “Oh, like you don’t have that too . . .
