Quarterback Danny Diamond loves to score. Touchdowns. Get those dirty thoughts out of your minds, ladies. Just because he has two Super Bowl rings, model good looks, and a well-defined athletic body doesn’t mean he’s a player off the field. Sure, he has women swooning over his messy blond hair, brilliant blue eyes, and cocky smirk, but he’s been married to his college ...more

Who can forget that intense connection felt between Danny Diamond and Jennifer Edwards when they first met? Danny was at an unhappy place in his life with his wife Lori and he could have easily crossed a line the night he first met Jennifer. However, he is also a man with strong morals and loyalty to his wife and family meant he made the right decision. He places this magical moment in time into the depths of his mind and gets on with living the life he has, with his not so loving wife.

Way back when, I fell in love with the "That Boy" series and all the characters -- some more than others and Lori certainly never was a favorite. Now they are back and Danny Diamond is 38 years old! Our boy has aged well and is now hoping to be a three-time Super Bowl champ. He's been married to Lori for 15 years when she drops a bomb on him. And Jayden and Phillip are still next door neighbors. Jadyn, Phillip and Danny felt like friends of mine by the time I finished the first three books of the That Boy series. Now, I have to confess, I always wanted Jadyn and Danny to end up together, but Phillip was the guy for her and I learned to accept it. But what I never accepted was Danny marrying Lori. I could not stand that girl. She would give me whiplash. She seemed nice and sweet and then she turned into Satan and money and material things that impressed were

I was soooooo excited for this book, because I started reading Jillian's books when she first published That Boy. Reading this was like catching up with old friends. I love seeing things from more of the adult minded points of view. This whole series has always been extremely relatable to my life and that's why I love it so much, and this book was no different. Expect a roller coaster of emotions, and as always, a good cliffhanger.

OMG I have been waiting for Danny's story for what seems like FOREVER and Jillian Dodd definitely delivered. Knowing that such a beautiful-on the inside and outside-man ended up with the wife he did has always grated. Knowing what a cold, heartless, self-absorbed, vapid, narcissistic, materialistic bitch she was had me pining for something like this to happen. Danny is such a homebody, always putting his family first and desperately wanting the large, happy family he had always dreamed of, he ...more

I have been waiting for this book for 1.5 years! And it did not disappoint.
I read That Boy series (all 3 books) in 3 days. I was consumed by Jayden, Phillip and Danny and all of their teenage drama.
So.. when I just happened to see that we were going back into that world, I was so excited.
The story is just SO easy to read that before I knew it, I was done. Jillian has such a way of making you feel everything that is going on in the story and really connects you to the characters.

Omg...this story is killing me. I loved Danny and Jennifer getting to reconnect after having that ultimate connection in time. Danny and Lori...these two drove me bananas. I wanted them to work. I wanted Danny to have his happy ever after but it should never be this hard. I've never been so excited to read a second chance romance. Finally we get to see Danny on the road to his true love. But oh the bumps. SO SO MANY BUMPS. I love the angst and the ups and downs. I could not stop turning the ...more

This story is eloquently told. The emotions displayed are earth shattering real and poignant. Between the despair of the previous relationships and the uncertainty of building a new one, you get to see the inner workings of their thoughts and emotions. But what makes it so splendid is the candor they have with each other for their needs, wants, and desires.
This is a soul touching story that will suck you in at page 1 and won’t let you go even when the book is complete.

Honest ARC review.

Just what I needed - more of my favorite people - Jayden, Phillip and most of all Danny Diamond.

Danny has always been one of my favorites and as always I want to strangle Lori - so good riddance!

What I loved about this book was being back in these three friends lives. Seeing their kids and seeing that their friendship is just as strong after all these years.

If you haven’t read this series from the start, you are missing out on a real treat. Although this book can be read as a stand-alone you

I've been waiting for That Divorce to be released for what seems like years. Reading Jillian's books is like catching up with old friends. You feel like you're part of them and the life they live. You find out what kind of raw emotions the characters have. Danny and Jennifer have had a special bond for years. He never acted on it. Doing the right thing for his family. Now that is he getting divorced, will they make it work?

First off: I need the next book now!

If you’ve read the That Boy series this can be read as book 4 or it can be read as a stand-alone series!

When we find love, did we really find love? Or is it just not wanting to be lonely? Infatuation? Lust? Or is there someone who is truly your soulmate out in the world that you haven’t met yet, so you just assume this relationship is love?

This book explores those questions while getting the epilogue we dreamed of for the That Boy series characters.

I started my sincere love affair with this author years ago when I read her That Boy series, the prequel to That Divorce. I flew through those books in a weekend and purchased every other book she'd written and haven't stopped. That being said, when That Divorce was being released, I jumped at reading it and couldn't wait...I reread the That Boy series in preparation (seriously I've reread it multiple good!!).
That Divorce picks up with a beloved character from the series, one of the 3

As always, my reviews do not contain spoilers, but will discuss the plot.

Have you ever wondered if your spouse/partner is the love of your life? Have you ever met someone and felt an instant connect after years of marriage/commitment with someone else? How did you handle it?

While reading Jayden and Phillip’s stories, I watched helplessly as quarterback Danny Diamond struggled with his marriage. Lori, his wife, had become such a horrible person that I celebrated the instant connection between

The characters in this series of Jillian's are my favorites of her. That Boy is my all time favorite of book of hers and reading these characters is always a joy for me. It was good to be back in Kansas City and finally see what was happening with Danny.

Jillian does a great job in making a "villain" I wasn't sure I could dislike Lori more after That Baby but boy was I wrong. Danny definitely has the patience of a saint being married to and now dealing with her attitude about the divorce and I

I've been a fan of Danny from the moment I met him in That Boy. Was he cocky? Sure he was! But what boy aspiring to be a professional football player wouldn't be a bit cocky. I was thrilled to read Danny's story in That Divorce because I can never get enough of him. He's sexy, caring and sweet, and loves his family more than anything else. When his wife of 15 years decides to leave him, Danny feels more blindsided than he has in any football game he's ever played. While my heart broke for Danny, ...more

Of course I’m giving this book five stars! Jillian is by far one of my favorite authors and I’ve been so excited for this release ever since she announced she was writing it!
For me this book held so much nostalgia. Being back in THAT boys world. Jadyn, Philip, and of course Danny Diamond! I loved seeing Danny finally moving on and becoming happy. If you’re like me, then you hated the way his story ended in THAT baby. Danny has been one of my favorite characters and it was so satisfying finally

15 years ago, Jennifer and Danny met and sparks fly. The only problem is Danny married and he isn't the type to stray from his wife. Then something happens and both Jennifer and Danny are available. Will lightning strike twice? Will their exs get in their way to find out if what if what they have is more than a spark? Will Danny's children like Jennifer cause interference?

I loved this book. Its a great story and its not over yet. That Ring is coming out soon. Jillian

I’ve been a fan Of Jillian Dodd for so long, her That Boy series was the first book that I ever bought on Kindle wayyyy wayyyy back! And while I love her other books, Danny JJ and Phillip will always have a place in my heart!

Getting to see Danny’s story play out and for him to start to find his happiness again-I ADORE!

Jennifer is such a great addition to this series and I can’t wait to see more levels of their relationship in the next book

Perhaps my favorite thing in this book though?

Man oh man, I was so happy when I heard Danny was finally getting his story told. He’s one character I adored in the That Boy Series. He’s fun, loving, and full of life. This book highlights that side of him even more.

You know when you dislike a character with every fiber of your being? Yeh, me too. In this case it’s the evil witch, also known as, Lori. She always left such a bad taste in my mouth. We get the bad, the ugly, and the even uglier side of her in this book. I think the fact that we

But, I highly recommend you start with That Boy! I loved Danny in the previous two books! And I'm More in Love with him now! Like what the heck! He is THE Perfect Man!! Hands down the Best, Loyal, Sexy, Funny, Man you will ever read! He's a Wonderful father and was an Amazing Husband to a worthless woman! Gahhhh! I cannot tell you the number ...more
This is the first book I've read by this author. Using Kindle Unlimited I chose it based on a sports second chance theme. The book was acceptable but ended in a cliffy. WTH? I then discover this is a series that started at book one and the story carries throughout six books. This is book four. Book six hasn't even been published. I don't read minds. Why doesn't the author put a disclaimer than this is not a standalone? I have no interest in reading six books about Danny Diamond. (I agree it does ...more

It’s no secret that Jillian Dodd’s That Boy series is my favorite. It has been for seven years. I was so apprehensive going into That Divorce because I hated the idea of Danny getting a divorce. But it really did not disappoint. There’s so much more to this story than just the divorce. It’s heartwarming to get to see JJ and Phillip in the future and to see the three of them with their children. While the divorce is what creates the entire story line, it really isn’t the main focus throughout the ...more

The very first book I ever read by Jillian Dodd was That boy. I immediately fell in love with her story telling, her description of the characters , everything. I of course devoured the entire that boy series. When I saw on her Facebook she was writing a “sequel” , but more about Danny I was pumped. I’ve been waiting for what feels like forever for this book to come out. And guess what it did not disappoint. I love Danny, still hate Lori, and love love love Jennifer. Words can’t express how excited I was for this book! I have missed all these characters so much. This book was a one sitting read that I devoured. If you haven’t read these books you need to stop what your doing and read them.

Danny Diamond is a dreamy pro football player who is very family oriented. He has two kids and wife he thought he would be with forever. Every marriage has rough patches right?

Who didn’t love Danny Diamond in That Boy tripling? No one!!! I was excited when Jillian announced she was writing his book. If you read That Baby you experienced the connection of Danny and Jenn.

I loved Danny for how he handled the situation!! I felt bad for him because in That Baby Lori’s true colors came out. I couldn’t stand her. I wanted him to be happy to have the love Phillip and Jadyn!!

I loved that we got to see Phillip and Jadyn in this book. They actually are in it A LOT!! Plus all

I just kept reading...

Kept hoping for the ‘romance’ portion of this romance to commence. It just never did.
Too many needless side details that added nothing to the story. Too much back and forth. Just too much.
Finally, after waiting, patiently or otherwise, for some sign the H and h might actually get together, and get to the romance, I gave up, no longer interested, at the 80% point.
Books such as this one, that just drag on and on and on, but go nowhere, don’t achieve for me what I hope the

I'm so happy to finally know what happens with Danny Diamond. You're introduced to Danny in the series That Boy. I personally have never liked that he ended up with Lori at the end of the series. I felt like he could of done better and been happier. You get to see where hes at in life now. Still beside his best friends as he goes through new changes of being a single parent. You also see the nasty side of what a divorce can do and be like. I love that he is getting a second chance

This is it, this is the story we’ve been waiting for since Jillian crosses the That Boy series with the Keatyn Chronicles series, well part one anyway. And y’all, it’s exactly what you would expect from a Jillian Dodd novel, a whirlwind of emotions and you’re definitely going to want to read this if you loved Danny as much as I did. He deserves to be happy and we all know that Lori was not his Happily Ever After. It also helps that we get to see what happened to our other favorites, yes we see a ...more

That Boy was the first book I read by Jillian Dodd. I have followed these characters from the very beginning when Danny was just a cocky football player. I was so excited that he was getting a chance to tell his story and see him follow his dreams.

You don't have to have read the rest of the series but I hope you do to see how he became an NFL quarterback and how his friends and family have always been there for him.

I love that he is reconnecting with Jennifer and hate how their pasts are trying
