Pervade Montego Bay is book two in the Pervade Duet by Vanessa Fewings. I fell in love with these three characters in the first book, Pervade London and have been waiting not so patiently for the rest of their story. It was most definitely worth the wait!
Emily Rampling has graduated from the music academy and has received an invitation to James’s home in Montego Bay. Being reunited with the two men she has so desperately fallen in love with is her dream come true. She can’t get there fast enough.
Montego Bay is where James Ballad was born. His home, Royal Court Manor, is his refuge. His home, this island, holds all of his most cherished memories, and all of his deepest secrets. It’s only fitting that this be the place for their reunion, the two people that mean everything to him. And also the place where he will do what he knows he must do.

I loved every minute of this book. So much of James is revealed within these pages. We learn his past, understand his pain, and find out the history he shares with Xavier, how they began.
This is a true love story, of dedication to their cause, and to each other. A story of sacrifice, pain and love. Of forgiveness and redemption and hope as these three navigate their paths. I love them all and I hope you do too.

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! Hands down, a must-read. Brilliant writing, sexy as sin characters you can't help but adore and a story to really sink your teeth into! So, so good. I'm already itching for a reread.
As always, Vanessa Fewings is at the top of her game, and this book just proves once again how amazingly talented she is. Pervade Montego Bay is book two in the Pervade Duet, and picks up about a week after the exciting and titillating events of book one. In this second half, the author takes the reader on a sensual journey as Emily, James, and Xavier reconnect on the scenic coast of Jamaica, and their sultry romance continues.
I loved every moment of this book!!
Story/Characters...
Three people. A new location. A forbidden romance that shouldn’t have worked for many different reasons. A superbly told story of love conquering pride, secrets, and fear.

At the end of book one, Emily received an intriguing invitation. So packing her bags, she traverses across the seas, thinking she’s going to reunite with her two loves. When she arrives in Montego Bay, the house is luxurious, the view spectacular, but things don’t go the way she thought they would. Xavier is missing and James has a plan to use Emily as bait to bring him back into the fold of Pervade.
WOW! Right from the start, we get more insight into James, his mindset and his motives. Light is shed on his darkness, and exposed is the inner workings of a lonely man. It almost feels like we get two stories in one because the author expertly takes us back to the day James and Xavier meet. They have an amazing, adrenaline-fueled introduction as they carry out their mission that quickly turns deadly. Their attraction is instant but they are surrounded by enemies. When the dust settles, and they both decide to go to war in order to survive, I literally got goosebumps. It was such a defining beginning for them.
Now knowing and understanding James’ past, there's a reason Xavier and Emily are such bright lights for him. His pain and despair were heartrending. I loved getting to know him better.
James’ desires only intensify with Emily near, and what might have seemed like a devious plan to get what he wants, breaks down when confronted with her sincerity and beauty. She completely barrels through his long-standing walls. And oh my! When Xavier returns, the flames that were ignited between James and Emily become a raging inferno as their passion and love set the whole book alight. The chemistry between these three was undeniable. Their scenes together, full of fervor and affection but most importantly, there’s a story with heart championing their love.
Emily and Xavier and especially James are such enigmatic, complex and layered characters. I loved getting to know them more and watching James succumb to the love he felt for Emily and Xavier was so much fun. For such a strong and brave character, he fears what kind of dynamic he would bring to their lives. As the layers were peeled back from him, my heart broke and was healed all at the same time.
And the intrigue. There’s a secret looming in the background and a new character introduced. The author does an impressive job giving us hints as Emily starts a search to uncover what’s not being told. But I can honestly say, I didn’t see it coming and it was AWESOME! I loved that small addition to the plot.
I have to mention that ending and epilogue because it gave me all the feels! It. Was. Flawless!
The Wrap Up:
There is passion, a little bit of mystery, a whole lot of discovery and a beautiful love story. Combined with masterful writing, fascinating characters and settings that will captivate you, Pervade London and Pervade Montego Bay are perfect binge reads.
James, Emily, and Xavier will stay with me for a long time to come.

The follow up to this trio of people is filled with all the feelings, emotions and richness of the first book. We see deeper into James' soul, fall more in love with Xavier, and discover more of the richness of Em's love and determination for her "two boys". The three adults are explosive together.

I will never tire of Fewings' writing.
Pervade Montego Bay is full of more of the same intriguing twists and turns as London. More secrets are built up, but later answered. This duet conclusion also sees an uptick in emotions depth, especially with James. He becomes much more vulnerable and we get to learn more about his history.
By opening up the characters' hearts and minds, their overall development is stronger than ever. We also get a new, and interesting, supporting character, Louis. He plays an integral part in helping James open up.
Another thing I loved about the book is that it briefly touches on insecurities that can surface about sexuality in the LGBTQ community and polyamory, and how society might view it.
Overall, this book has it all. Intrigue, the hotness factor, and heightened emotion without angst.

This was an incredible book. Vanessa Fewings has the ability to make the reader feel every emotion that the characters are experiencing and throughout this book the overwhelming feeling was passion. I don’t think I have ever felt such passion through the pages of a book before and I didn’t want it to end. The story of what brought James and Xavier to this point was fascinating and a little melancholy and the introduction of Louis was an interesting twist. This is a book not to be missed and if you loved Pervade London you will swoon over Montego Bay!

Book 2 in a duet, you must read in order.
I’m clearly in the minority here because this duet just didn’t blow my socks off. Something was missing and I’m not sure I can even put my finger on it, but something just fell flat for me.
Even after 2 books, I still just really don’t feel like I know the characters. Yes, I know likes and dislikes and I definitely know what they like in bed as there is a ton of sex. However, I just feel like I know surface things about them and there was an element of character depth that I thought was missing.
Also, the fact that one of the characters continually tries to back away from the threesome because he wants to “protect” them was a bit lame, in my opinion. Sorry.
”Me holding back is my way of protecting you.” 😤 To me, it makes the other characters appear weak and it’s a common plot that just really ticks me off.
The other thing I wasn’t a fan of was the constant reference to the dead wife and his inability to move on. Omg...why not just build a shrine to her. And, when Xavier made this comment I wanted to throw my kindle across the room “Have you ever considered, James, that what you had in your marriage with Victoria was so remarkable, so profound, that it takes two people to fill that void?” . Really? Talk about short changing yourself. 🤬
As I said above, I felt there was something missing. Maybe my expectation was something different, but with James and Xavier involved in some secretive stuff I thought there would be an element of danger and excitement brought into the story but that just didn���t happen. There is no lack of sex in the book, but when they aren’t in bed the story was mostly about how one of them just wouldn’t fully commit. So, honestly I became bored and skipped pages. Their sex scenes are very hot and steamy, but I had difficulty connecting with them and I just didn’t stay fully engaged.
So, overall, this was a bit of a miss for me. But I obviously have the lone opinion as most people are rating this book with 5 stars and hailing it as awesome.

After anxiously awaiting this second book in the Pervade Duet, I was ecstatic to get this gem in my sweaty palms! And Vanessa did us good! I loved Montego Bay, and just like Jamaica is a world away from London, this book takes a slightly different turn than the first. It delves more into the minds and hearts of our trio, mainly James, our closed off, secretive enigma. We find out what has shaped him into the man he is today and about how Pervade was formed. But there are still secrets he is unwilling to share and he insists on protecting those he loves. Even at the cost of his own happiness.
The love James, Xavier, and Emily have for each other is so amazing and so rare. I love the alternate POVs, it gave me hope when things were looking bleak. The Paradise they find themselves in is conducive to love and Emily's strength is her tenacity. She fights hard for them. Their "Us" is tantamount to breathing, something they must have.
I loved this conclusion to this wonderful Duet! The ending was perfect and the epilogue was epic! I will be rereading these books over and over again! Definitely would give more than Five Stars if I could!!

I do get so excited for Vanessa Fewings’ books. Pervade Montego Bay couldn’t have come soon enough. In this conclusion of the Pervade Duet, it is just as intriguing, suspenseful and steamy as the first book. The story continues with Emily, Xavier and James. Everyone has secrets and we will soon learn the answers. It’s definitely a page turner and well worth the read.

OMG I have to say that I felt like I waited for a longtime to get this book because I fell in love with Emily, Xavier, and James right from Prevade London. I mean they absolutely took my breath away and had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next and it did not disappoint.
In Prevade Montego Bay we get such an emotional read. Emily has finished her music school so James invites her to him home land and she agrees because she misses her lovers both James and Xavier. So she jumps at the chance to be reunited with them. When she gets there she is so excited to see her lovers and start back where they left off. Only this time she sees that James is a little off. She knows this is his home land and she knows something is wrong so she decides she is going to uncover what is wrong and when she does lord have mercy you have to read the book to find put because you won't believe what secret he is hiding.

In the first few chapters, I was already ready to crash tackle James and beat the cr*p out of him. His cold and unfeeling actions were cruel and harsh. However, the journey through the past gives us a glimpse into what shaped James and why he is so determined to distance himself away from those who love him. In a way, he feels undeserving of love and I feel for him. I began to better understand James and why his hard exterior was appearing all the time. I did want to wrap him in a blanket and cuddle him tight.
Xavier is still the hot and compassionate man I loved from the start. He can be quite playful too. And he is very perceptive. He knows James better than anyone and he is about the only one who can get through to him. Xavier is incredibly thoughtful and would do anything for both James and Emily. It makes your heart melt.
Emily is like Nancy Drew, trying to unravel the puzzle that is James Ballad. She is determined to break through that icy barrier he has erected and have him embrace the gift they have been given. I love her fight and fortitude in making sure what they found isn’t lost. But she isn’t the only one trying to uncover secrets. Someone is also determined to found out what James is hiding…
The three of them together is so wonderful. It’s not just about the sexual chemistry but the love that bonds them together. Each of them brings something to the relationship. They bring out the best in each other and help ease the sorrow that once lingered in their lives.

Pervade Montego Bay by Vanessa Fewings was an explosive, sensual and scintillating story. It had layers of secrets and mysteries. It has electrifying, sinful and seductive chemistry. My heart is pounding. My head is reeling. I am breathless, hypnotized and paralyzed by gripping storyline, emotional torture and brilliant writing.
Emily has reached Montego Bay, Jamaica on invitation of two men who has invaded her life and possessed her. James and Xavier are both powerful and intriguing men. And they both need her and she needs them. But so much more is at stake than their relations. World politics. Secret services. Military missions. The dark web of power plays and mind games that has captured them all. And it will take everything out of them to face it. The first story left me with millions of questions. And the author did a stunning job of tying the loose ends and presenting it to me with a little bow in top.
A significant part of this story is about the dynamics between Xavier and James. The author took us back to the time when their deep, intense and soul deep connection was conceived. Beyond the forbidden and explosive physical attraction, they need each other to survive. And Emily is the glue holding them together after they broke each other's heart into tiny pieces. My heart is breaking for James. He is such an enigma. Strong. Determined. Stubborn. Dominating. Fearless. Vulnerable. Selfless. Shattered. And the combination is oddly attractive. He is punishing himself and pushing everyone away to protect them. But Xavier won't let him go. This wicked, fiery and twisted relationship was so brilliantly executed. The dilemma. The push and pull. The sweet and sexy reunion. The angsty heartbreaking turns. Add the twists and jaw dropping revelations those never stopped coming. Beyond the forbidden and explosive physical attraction, they need each other to survive. And Emily is the glue holding them together after they broke each other's heart into tiny pieces. My heart is breaking for James. He is such an enigma. Strong. Determined. Stubborn. Dominating. Fearless. Vulnerable. Selfless. Shattered. And the combination is oddly attractive. He is punishing himself and pushing everyone away to protect them. But Xavier won't let him go. This wicked, fiery and twisted relationship was so brilliantly executed. The dilemma. This is the second book in the series and you do have to read them in order.
After the first book, I wasn't sure if I wanted to read book 2. However, I am so glad that I did! The second book was much more palatable for my taste. It seemed much more like a story.
Emily is asked to come to James' house and can't wait to see her men. She has missed them desperately. However, when she arrives, there are more twists and turns, tests she has to endure.
You learn SO much more about James. His motivations, how his relationship with Xavier began and you get to see a much more human side of him. His pain is still palpable, but when you understand it, it is not so dangerous.
Xavier is less in this story, but his love for both James and Emily is still so real and present. I loved his dynamic in this book.
Xavier, James and Emily will have to figure out what to do with their feelings and how to navigate through what they all want. It was a story truly about love and finding a way. I enjoyed it a lot.

Emily, Xavier and James have A LOT of work to do in their conclusion. They need to work on their threesome. They need to work on themselves. But to do that, they'll first have to come together and be together. Thank God for James' tropical mansion in paradise!
God, this conclusion was even better than I had hoped for! James, Xavier and Emily do so much work this time around. They look deep within themselves and do some developing and changing, especially James. He finally let go of some stuff, finally opened up, and finally allowed himself to love and to be loved. If you read Pervade London and were waiting for the conclusion to get some answers and some closure, then you will be really happy because it gives you everything you're looking for and leaves you very happy with how it ends.
I personally loved it and finally fell in love with James, unlike in Pervade London, where I thought he was the devil. He started off that way here, but slowly worked his way into my heart, just like he had already worked his way into Emily and Xavier's hearts. Pervade Montego Bay is suspenseful, sexy, and quite beautiful in its own way. Such a fabulous conclusion for this trio!

Pervade Montego Bay is amazing and very sexy.
James Ballad, you're drawn to his power, but you develop this love hate relationship with his character.I adore his charcter the most.
Emily loves Xavier first and later grows to love James.This the last book is saga.I want more books with this charlene.
When I started reading I couldn't put it down. Vanessa Fewings is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work.You should definitely read this book.Can't wait for the next book.

Picking up where Pervade London concluded, Vanessa Fewings' PERVADE MONTEGO BAY takes her readers on an exhilarating, enthralling and intriguing journey. Ms Fewings brings passion, mystery and revelations to an already complex story involving three of the most multilayered characters I have had the pleasure of reading about.
Emily Rampling has accepted a surprise invitation and has arrived in Montego Bay. Expecting to find the two men she loves there, Xavier Rothschild and James Ballad, she is stunned to learn that Xavier is missing and James acting very cold towards her. She also learns that James has decided to use her to get Xavier to come out of the woodwork and return. James is involved in an accident, and it is here that the story switches. We learn of the history between James and Xavier and how they first met. This switch explains why James has become the man he now is, and it also explains how his relationship with Xavier developed.
James' accident does bring Xavier out of hiding, it is from this point that James' plan moves to the forefront. He wants Xavier and Emily together, but he also wants them away from him so that they are safe. The problem being, Xavier and Emily both bring out his desires, their presence also breaks him out of the dark prison he has put himself in since his wife's death. When the three of them are together it is scintilating reading, they are like a volcano erupting under enormous pressure ... they are a neverending heatwave. Will James forgo his own happiness to ensure Xavier and Emily are safe? James' story is heartbreaking, his pain immense, but he is trying to remove the only two people who can heal him.
James is also hiding a secret, one that Xavier knows but Emily does not. It is a secret, that if discovered, would have vast repercussions, lives would be dramatically altered. Emily stumbles upon part of this secret and endeavours to solve it's mystery. This was a superb side story to the main one, as it showed another side to James that was rarely seen ... compassion.
PERVADE MONTEGO BAY was an emotional read. I cried, laughed, grew frustrated, angry and raged. The pain James continues to hold on to is devastating, especially when his release is right in front of him. This story had me completely spellbound from the beginning. The Pervade Duet is one that I will definitely read over and over again. That epilogue .... simply sublime.
This duet is definitely one of my top reads for 2019. Highly recommended.

All that we had read in part one of this duet has nothing on the things that come out in part two. Sharp. Sexy. Sinful. Sensual. Delicious. Dark. Dangerous. Enticing. Intriguing. Alluring.
You must have read part one to get the full all encompassing picture of what will be laid on you in part two. You will need all you wits and every moment of being aware of all that comes out and all that happens. We maybe in a new exotic, beautiful location, but we still ge the same three sexy characters. Each of which will pull at you in different ways.
The layers of the story gets deeper with the origins of Xavier and James. We learn so much and begin to understand just as much if not more of what makes James, Xavier, and Emily work. We are given more to love about them as individuals and as a cohesive unit.
For me there was more to the romance between them than the sex and the scenes that were carried out. It was like the pages were living vivid images of them all. The chemistry you could feel. The sorrow. The pain. The loneliness. The story alone was all that I could want in a read that would engage me, satisfy me, intrigue me, fulfill me. I loved it from the beginning to the end.
Vanessa Fewings did one heck of a job with the writing of such intense, intriguing, alluring characters. She provided layers, depths, and a realisim to them. There was no one dimension going on here. The story on its own was wonderful. The ending was not a disappointment. But I can't help but to want more.

I have been waiting for this book and it certainly did not disappoint at all. I was so curious to see if Emily, Xavier and James could find a way to make their unconventional relationship work and you will have to read to find out the answer, but I promise it is worth it. There is love and heartbreak, forgiveness and hope. Questions are answered, new questions arise but in the end all is revealed. I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book for an honest review.

This is the second book in the series, and you absolutely need to read them in order, as the story is ongoing. After the stress of having to wait for this book to release, I was very glad to be able to find out more! I am assuming that you have read Pervade London in this review. If it, like me, it has been a while since you read it, you might want to at least read the last few pages to remember how things are left between Emily, Xavier and James.
The scene now shifts to Montego Bay, not somewhere that a newly qualified solo level violinist is going to find her professional future, but maybe where she will get the answers to satisfy her heart. Emily however is shocked at how she finds James, both cruel and demanding - and even more unexpectedly without Xavier!
The story slips back in time, to give us the men's story, which fills in some of the gaps of their clandestine life, and more to the point why they are now outside / above the law. We also meet James neighbour Louis, who has a rather interesting story of his own. I really enjoyed the mounting spy/mystery side of things - not quite as much as the unsettling romance between the trio, but it shapes the men and their ambitions.
Fast paced, complicated, and for the confident reader, just leading to a good place ... but don't expect to get there unscathed!

My mind is completely blown by this book. The plot, twists and turns, and love for these amazing characters blew me away!! I highly recommend Vanessa Fewings and her amazing writing ability! The angst, emotion, intriguing and steamy scenes will BLOW YOU AWAY!!

We now have an understanding of what drives James and why he is the way he is whiles Emily shows her strength and resilience and Xavier continues to make us love him more. This story takes you on a bumpy ride filled with heat, twists and a love too strong to deny. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought the narrators were a great choice and I really enjoyed how in this book each character had their own voice.

Montego Bay is a sinfully good book about a very unconventional relationship. It will make your head spin at times. The story is daring and dangerously addictive! I was very excited the continuation of Pervade London, especially after the way it ended! Vanessa didn't disappoint and definitely raised the bar she set with the first book of the duet. Please, keep in mind that this is the second book in a duet series and cannot be read as a standalone.
Emily is a very strong female character who finds herself pulled between two forces. She can't and doesn't want to resist either of them. It was very interesting to see the development of her character throughout the story, to follow her thoughts. I don't want to talk about the men in this review too much because I'm not sure how I could avoid spoilers. However, let me just say they are very intriguing and keep you hooked up to the story.
Montego Bay is one of the stories you want to finish asap so you know what happens at the end and at the same time don't want to finish because you wish the story could go on and on forever. This is the final chapter of this fabulous duet! Xavier, James and Emily has this amazing intense chemistry that makes their love story so powerful. Their story is so full of passion and regrets but it left me speechless and in awed to the talent of our famous storyteller Vanessa to make the reader feel everything these characters bring to the story. If you read anything this year it must be this duet. I honestly volunteered to review this story.
