"I can be patient if you can be honest."

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but...I can't believe this series is Jen Davis' writing debut. I stumbled upon the first book in the Cooper Construction series because the cover was so stunning I had to read the synopsis that went with it. I was intrigued and decided to give her a try.
Best decision ever! She's so damn talented and I can't get enough of her stories. Her words are smooth as silk and the dialogue is so real it makes me f

Ever since I started this series, I was suuuuper curious about Robby. Not only did I love his character (he's the sweetest person EVER), but I wanted to know more about him, about his past. After finishing his book, all I can say is wow! I don't really read m/m romances hardly EVER (in fact, I've only read like 2), but I could NOT pass on Robbie's story.

As always, Jen Davis has an undeniable talent with words. He stories flow smoothly and perfectly. Everything reads as if you were literally hav

The latest installment of Davis’ Cooper Construction Series completely pulled me in. I’ve been intrigued by Robby since we first met him in Brick and I was eager to learn more about him. I was so excited to find out that he was getting his book and couldn’t wait to dive into it.

From the beginning, I’ve loved Robby. He’s so sweet and caring, he’s what really holds the group together. Even with all of that, it was clear there was more there, more underneath, and I needed to find out what. Add in a

I've loved and adored every single book in this series but Robby had my heart from the beginning. He was so obviously a little bit broken but extremely sweet. He befriended Brick and Kane, surrounding himself with friends, but needed that special loved one too.
I had no idea how Matt was ever going to be good enough for my darling Robby.
Luckily, Davis brought the goods. In this story, we see them bonding over video games and a shared sense of humour. They were so right for each other, and their l

This is a sweet , sad and hot , MM romance with a satisfying HEA.

It a story with a lot of subplots - lots is happening to our heroes Robby and Matt; as both of them have a lot of baggage due to a life full of challenges.

Be aware, deals with topics that will be uncomfortable for some - addiction , abuse - self- harm.

I did not know that this book is part of a series . But don't feel it affected in me, liking of the story.

I've been wondering how long it would take for this lady to finish this book. I loved her first two and I knew that this would be a bomb. Not everyone has an open mind about this subject but love is love, right?
Jen Davis has given me two epic books and I know that her next ones will be just as amazing. Her writing is raw and wild, forbidden and intense, beautiful and carnal. It's amazing and you should read her work.
Robby is her latest release and it's the third book from the Cooper Constructi

Robby had secrets he couldn’t share with anyone, horrible shameful secrets. One thing that isn’t secret is the way he feels about Matt, his coworker.

I loved Robby and to a lesser extent Matt. Robby was everything I like in a hero. Strong (in spite of his past), caring (even though he mostly had to learn that on his own), hopeful (there again, never really given a reason to hope), and loving (he loved with his whole body and mind).

Matt had issues of his own. I got that he needed to put his sons n

This was darker than I thought it would be, but I enjoyed the story and it had sweet and funny parts to balance it out. Robby has been through more than any person should have to, but he pulled himself out and is now pretty happy and successful. Matt is struggling to keep afloat, paying for his son's necessities and helping his mom with her bills. They had a cute relationship and I liked that they both helped each other be stronger and fulfilled. My favorite aspect of the story was the family as ...more

In the first two books of this series, we see Robby and how sweet he is with his crush on Matt. Unfortunately that crush is one sided, as Matt is pretty much oblivious to that crush. Robby came from nothing and has worked hard to get where he is, even though the loneliness is crushing sometimes. Matt lives for his son, a son that was conceived after one time and one time only. Matt has no interest in being in a relationship, no matter how hard he tried to make some ki

From the first book in this series, I was itching to get to Robby's book. I couldn't wait to read this, and now I wish I had.

I don't know if I wasn't in the right space to read this, but this was not what I'd hoped it would be. The story starts with the Robby I grew to adore from books one and two, and he turned into someone I couldn't recognize. Not that his character changes so much that he was unrecodnizable, but his progression felt chunky and rushed. The whole book was messy and felt off.

We are really loving this series and characters. We loved Robby and Matt's story as there path was not and easy road due to Matt exploring his sexuality and Robby's past and a whole lot of baby mama drama."We loved it all !"

I loved Robby already from the other stories already but, I loved him even more this time around he was such a love-able soul . Our heart broke for what he had to endure to get through his teens just to survive and the hard choices he had to make but, he rose up from the ashes

4 stars!! I knew Robby was a gem!!

This is Robby’s story, book three in “Cooper Construction” series, and can be read as a stand alone. But once you know the construction crew you are gonna want to read about them all.

So this is a m/m romance and that is usually not my wheelhouse seeing as I can’t relate. But this didn’t feel like that. This felt like a beautiful friendship that turned into more. This felt like a person finding themselves and finding the person who completes them. It was beautifu

I don't know who I felt for more with this book. Matt was deeply confused about his own sexuality and painfully shy to the point where he could barely talk to people. Robby didn't have Matt's hangups about himself, but events in his past had left a dark stain on him that he hadn't quite dealt with.

They were a sometimes awkward, always sweet couple who had baggage, man. Baggage.

But they dealt with that baggage. Not always well the first time, but they dealt with it. As it turns out, having a soli

You know when there are stories that just pull at your heart and make you want to change the world? This is one of them. I didn't want this to end. I loved all the characters in it. Robby, Matt, Brick, Kane and the amazingly open wives. To learn that you do what you can to survive and be able to move on from it without damaging your soul comes at a high cost. I want to know more about Kane and Brick so I hope there are more stories to come. Learn to love yourself and move forward in life. Loved ...more

This book is part of a series and is book three of the Coopers Construction series but you can read as standalone with a few other book spoilers.

Robby is one of those love stories that is more than just a normal romance story. This story is about two people who are fighting for what they want whilst the past threatens to prevent it from happening. The story is about bravery, putting the past behind you and embracing the future.

I read the first two books in the Cooper Construction series (Brick and Kane) some months ago and have been keeping an eye out for book number three. We met sweet Robby in those first two books and learnt about his crush on fellow construction worker Matt. I wasn't sure how their story, if it indeed would be their story, would play out. Obviously, when I saw the book available on NetGalley, I jumped at the chance to read it and find out.
In the first two books, Robby comes across as a young lad,

Robby is the third book in the Cooper construction series written by author Jen Davis. This was the first story that I have read in the series, and I had no difficulties in following along. Each book in the series focuses on a different couple and can be read as a standalone romance. The characters from the previous novels do appear within the story, but not in a confusing way.

In this story, Robby is the assista

I don't usually enjoy MM stories. Not that I have anything against it but I like to put myself in the heroine's role. I took this book anyway because I enjoyed Kane and Brick so much. I knew of Robby and Matt and admit I was curious how their story would play out.

Davis does a really good job of making both men very relatable. They've both got issues. Mountains of issues. Matt's not even sure he's gay. Robby is deeply ashamed of what life has forced him to do. How can they find the love they dese

Robby is the third book in the Cooper Construction series. It can be read as a stand-alone, which I did.
Robby is the foreman assistant in the contruction company with a troubled past and an obvious crush on his co-worker Matt. Matt is a shy, confused single parent with a lot of baggage.

One of the things I liked about the book was the plot (though a little messy at some points). I liked how the story unfolded and how the relationship between Robby and Matt was developed. I enjoyed the bond betwe

Robby is a superb boss/employee romance. This is my first read by Jen Davis, despite it being the third book in her Cooper Construction series.

Obviously it revolves around a construction crew. Through the use of multiple pov, the reader learns everything about these messy and complicated men.

Robbie's a nerd at first glance, but he's hiding so much pain and hurt from the world. Robbie's long crushed on his introverted co-worker, Matt.

This story is that of an ex-addict who's struggling.

This was a good MM romance. I haven’t read a ton of this Thorpe but I will say I liked this one. It is perfect for those that might not be sure how they feel about trying something new. Matt and Robby were great. I like that Robby was so strong and the fact that he turned his life around for the better.

Matt was hard to get a read on. He didn’t really know him self and in this story we saw him trying to to figure out what he wanted. I really wish we saw more of him with his son. He was a big par

Robby’s parents kicked him out when he was 16, so Robby had to do unimaginable things in order to survive living on the streets. But it’s been 5 years since he picked himself out of the gutter and changed his life around. Robby has worked with Matt for over a year and even though he knows nothing about Matt, he can’t stop thinking about him. Matt doesn’t know what he wants out of life ... the only thing he knows is that he loves his son and won’t let him down.

I really enjoyed this book. Though it's the third in a series, I read it as a stand alone and it reads well without having read the previous two books. Jen Davis has chosen to tell this M/M Romance in the 'He said- he said' style (very common lately) alternating between Robby and Matt. Both men have everything to give but both also have to overcome their own unique baggage they bring to the table. I really found the characters' backstories relatable and completely engrossing. I didn't totally love this book but maybe it is because I did not read the first two in the series. Rob is a construction worker who has a dark past, sadly, that he is trying to put behind him. He was on the streets at a young age and submitted to be owned, so to speak, as a teen by an much older man who abused him in all ways while also providing for him. Robby is still trying to get past all that he is lived through. Matt works at the same place and also has a past he is trying to move on from ...more

Readers who have followed the Cooper Construction series from the beginning, have met the sweet and endearing Robby and known about his infatuation with his co-worker Matt. Boy...the series keeps getting better and better. I loved Robby's and Matt's story. They each had a very different journey and I'm glad the author didn't hold back in regards to the harsh reality of many LGBTQ youth who are cast aside by thier families.
