Just Over the Next Ridge: A Traveler's Guide to Little-Known and Out-of-the-Way Places in Southern Appalachia by Carson Brewer (Knoxville News Sentinel 1989)(917.6). The dean of the Great Smokies writers fills in details on the map that the casual Southerner may never come to know and explore. My rating: 7/10, finished 2003.
